Moms to be Part 4

Hey guys,

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I just found out Monday that I am pregnant with our first and I go tomorrow for a just in case ultrasound to make sure it got out of my tubes...

I swear I'm making myself see symptoms, I'm so early that I feel like it's too early to feel these things, but what do I know. I swear I'm peeing every 30 mins and eating every hour-like growling stomach hungry eating. And I am BURNING up, I can't get cool enough. Everything STINKS and all I want to eat is salad with ranch dressing, donuts and mcdonalds hamburgers. Everything else turns my stomach. I know... I'm nuts. I can imagine up any old symptom-you could probably tell me pregnant women will sprout a leg from their forehead and I will make one appear.

One of my bffs found out on the same day as me-I told her to shut up and go pee on a digital stick and she was! It's nice to have someone close to me going through this, even though she lives 900 miles away.

I'm clinically diagnosed emetophobic so I'm kind o freaking about the morning sickness part. I already have zofran on hand just in case since my doctor knows I'm not kidding-I really am that afraid of it. I was only half kidding when I told the hospital to leave my appendix and give me antibiotics so I wouldn't puke after surgery-luckily I took the anesthesia like a pro and didn't have a bit of puking or nausea afterwards, actually ate like a horse through the whole appendicitis deal... My mom was one of the lucky ones who didn't puke with us (my brother and I) at all or have any nausea so I'm hoping I might get lucky too. please oh please oh please!

Ok this is turning into a really long "hi" post so I'm outta here. Hope to make some new mommy friends!

Hi everyone! :yay:

Just wanted to chime in here, found out we were pregnant about three weeks ago. I'm 9 weeks along. In July I had been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and my husband was diagnosed with low motility so it looked like we were on our way to IVF. Well....turns out I got pregnant the week that we were told that!!

I actually fractured my foot on the 4th of August and then the next week I was nauseous, not feeling well and thought it was the pain medicine I was on...not so much. :lmao:

Oh well! Just wanted to introduce myself!

Welcome Tink, Acejka, & Lady Lallie! :welcome: So excited to have some new faces as we have had some "graduates" recently! I'm Joanne, expecting baby #1 in January after 1.5 years of trying 6 months of Clomid, injectibles, and IUIs.

Things here are coming along! I have been starting to feel fluttering and movement from the baby, as much as I know it gets so uncomfortable for all you 30-weekers, but it's sooooo exciting right now! I wish I could feel it more! :lovestruc We purchased our crib and dresser, though they're staying at Buy Buy Baby until the room is cleared out and painted. We've picked out our car seat and stroller which MIL and FIL are going to purchase. I'm also moving into maternity clothes and I'm starting to get comments about how I've popped! :) We go for our 20 week ultrasound on Sept 12 and I can't wait! I just want to know what's inside of me so I can start using pronouns! I hate saying "it"! After being so sick the whole first trimester, I can finally say I realize why the second trimester is definitely the honeymoon period, because I love it! :cloud9:

Welcome to all the newly pregnant ladies!! :welcome:

32 weeks for me tomorrow! Nursery is painted. Changing table and storage cubes are put together. Now we're just waiting for the crib and dresser to come in (they told us 6-10 weeks and it'll be 8 weeks on Friday).

My shower is September 11th. I'm excited to see everyone plus then I'll know what we need to buy ourselves. We have nothing except clothes and swaddling blankets bought so we need pretty much everything and I want to make sure I buy everything by the end of September!

Hi ladies! Mind if I join you? :goodvibes

I'm just 6.5 weeks along with a singleton after a successful IVF cycle. DH and I have male factor infertility and have g/g twins that are 3.5 from our first cycle. Because of what we've been through for establishing this pregnancy I'm much more anxious about it (despite having no real reason to worry other than the usual), so I think some camaraderie would be nice!

We did see our little one on ultrasound on Monday, and got to see a perfect measurement and perfect heartbeat. S/he is tucked away in the shadows pretty well so I'm looking forward to a clearer view at next week's scan. I think I'll feel much better then, though all is going seemingly well.

Looking forward to spending the next 3/4 of a year with you all! ;)

Welcome to the group! Don't worry--I think it's hard for all of us not to worry! I swear sometimes reading the pregnancy book scares me more than it helps LOL.

Welcome! As far as the early symptoms go, the very first one I experienced was peeing 4 times a night LOL. In fact I was wondering what on earth was wrong with my bladder, then lo and behold, I was pregnant!

I myself am a recovering emetophobic. Meaning I have been through therapy, and it helped tremendously, but of course some things still freak me out that a "normal" person wouldn't be bothered by at all. So I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from with the morning sickness fears. I was very fortunate and did not have morning sickness. I did start to feel a bit off if I didn't eat frequently and have some protein at regular intervals, but I never got sick or really felt close to it. Just try not to let your stomach get too empty, as I've heard that really helps. Here's to hoping you are stomach symptom-free too!

And my best friend is pregnant too--due 6 weeks after me with her 2nd child! We must be twins to have so much in common, LOL!

Welcome to you too! How exciting to have all these new ladies!

I was diagnosed with PCOS as well, which was a surprise to me. DH's tests came back normal, but I was having trouble with randomly missing periods (which led to more than a few heartbreaking negative pregnancy tests) and not ovulating regularly. Fortunately 3 rounds of Clomid helped, and now I'm 19 weeks along! So wonderful that y'all got to avoid the IVF, as I know that's an expensive and emotionally rough journey. I hope your foot is feeling better!

welcome to all the newcomers...how exciting!!

I am getting anxious...not sleeping well and am generally uncomfortable...but next Friday will be here before you know it!!!!

how is everyone?

had my last weekly appt today....all he did was measure and listen to the heartbeat...all looked ok I guess. I go in Friday at 9 for my c-section...hard to believe it is here already!!!

Lilygator, so exciting! Hope all goes wonderfully for you on Friday! :goodvibes

I had another ultrasound today, and baby (still just one! :)) looked great. Grew perfectly, still measuring to the day, and the heartbeat was 138 - so right smack in the range for 7 weeks. I am feeling much better about the pregnancy since we were able to visualize it better (despite seeing the heartbeat last week), and since we were able to see the REST of my uterus better and make sure nobody was hiding! :upsidedow

Hope everyone else is doing well!

How exciting!! Friday will be here before you know it. :goodvibes

I'm doing good, dealing with the all day sickness, I refuse to call it morning sickness since it's allllll day long. I think the hardest thing so far is dealing with everyone who thinks they are a pregnancy expert. It's annoying. Does anyone else deal with this? I'm getting all sorts of advice/warnings/scary stories that I don't want to hear!

I'm still dealing with my foot in a boot cast as well....blech. I miss my morning walks, they really help my stress level.

You are so close, lillygator!! Good luck!

Almost 33 weeks here! Crib and dresser just got delivered an hour again. I've only got one more every 2 week appointment next Friday and then I start weekly appointments :scared1:

Sorry to hear that you have the all-day-long-sickness. I had it too from about 8-14 weeks. Really nothing helped me besides not letting my stomach get empty, which was seriously the most difficult thing to do because the thought, sight, and smell of food was repulsive to me. Hopefully it resolves quickly for you, because I know firsthand how awful it is!
I work in a department of pregnancy "experts". It is quite annoying. I try and just remind myself that their intention is to be helpful and they don't mean any harm. And never let some story someone tells you about their cousin's best friend's aunt's neighbor replace advice from your own doctor!

Best wishes for Friday lillygator! :goodvibes

All good here. We're moving in two weeks, I can't wait for it to be over with. Not too much longer to get everything settled and ready for the happy homecoming. :)

Ladies can you please say a prayer for me.

I'm having cramping and spotting and I'm scared for the outcome.

Thanks :)

Back from the ER.

They are calling it a "threatened miscarriage" but said it might be nothing since the spotting is light.

In other news, the pain on my left ovary is a cyst that is flaring up that I didn't know about but always thought in the back of my mind was there.

In other other news, the baby is 5 weeks 1 day, and I thought I was 6 weeks today... I also suspected I ovulated late and might not be as far along as I thought. The pregnancy is a yolk and sac so far and is in the uterus and not the tubes (which was suspected and why I was told to go to the ER)
