how is everyone doing the nursery? any themes? pics to share?

Still in the thought process here. Started out thinking Peter Pan, that has morphed to Disney/ Socerer Mickey/ Magic Kingdom theme, more colors! I'm hoping my imagination doesn't get away from me:laughing:

Ok, I just had to post b/c in one of my email updates about week 19, it stated that my uterus is now at my bellyu button. So I felt to see if it is true and I am feeling it right there! How cool! Other than that, not much of interest to report.

Hope you are all doing great!

Hmmm I so can't feel that? Just that my tummy is getting rounder and harder pretty much. I thought it was interesting that I was measured for the first time when we went to the OB 2 weeks ago. That was cool!:thumbsup2

E - you are right today is Staranns big day. I hope all goes well for her!

I can't feel mine either. I think it may be because I am ... at bit pooh sized.

Anyway, we don't have any theme yet for the room, but it is painted. It is currently occupied by my DD10 and it was freshly painted last summer in 4 really pretty pastel colors. We are keeping those and adding other stuff to it. Somethng girly. :)

We have been having so much fun with names for her this week. My DD10 made me a list sheet on the computer where I can put our favorite first and middle names. Pretty funny - my DDs have pretty strong opinions about names. My favorite silly name we came up with is Allison Wonderland.:lmao: My DD12 said the baby would hate us forever if we named her that.

So, this week my DH has been in Orlando - without me :sad2: We were all going to go as a family and play while he was working, but my DD12 didn't want to miss soccer and so we didn't go. I kept thinking on Wed. that I should have gotten them a nanny for a few days and went with him without the girls! Oh well, he said it was really hot there. He better bring me back something pretty great! :rotfl2:

I think we are going with the traditional sports theme. We are huge sports fan, especially college football, so our boy is stuck with it...lol. No photos yet b/c we don't have anything up yet. We are actually thinking of moving the nursery to the bigger bedroom, so we'll do that before any decorating, plus we don't really have much in the way of furniture yet.

I wanted to do Disney, but the hubs vetoed the idea. For one, he said if we went with a specific movie theme, ie Toy Story or Cars, thats not gonna be popular forever. But we really could go with a classic Mickey theme or something. Eh, I guess I'll just have to cover him in Disney clothes! LOL. Already bought some Disney books and toys...lol.

I can definitelyfeel the fundus (top of the uterus) right at my belly button. It really feels weird. Also, interesting story...yesterday, on my drive to work, my stomacj was growling but it wasn't coming from where my stomacj usually is, it was coming from much higher, b/c the uterus has pushed the stomach up. It was the weirdest thing!

Mine is rounder and harder as well. I guess its just gonna get noticeably bigger from here. Doc hasn;t measured mine yet...probably when I go on the 24th for our anatomy scan.

Cute! Good luck on picking a good one!

My in-laws just got home from the Disney Cruise we were supposed to go on with them, but they scheduled when we couldn't go. Blech. They better have brought the baby back something...we at least, deserve that!

We've started!

We are doing a pink and brown "Polka Dot and Paisley" theme for Ava's room. I ordered a handmade quilt that was/is my inspiration piece for the whole room. It came yesterday!

Here is her room the day we painted it...

Here is her quilt on her crib...

I'm decorating with polka dot and paisley themed pink and brown artwork that I will make myself. I'm starting THAT project just as soon as I get back from Florida! I can't wait!

Starann... I hope everything went and is going wonderfully! Can't wait to read all about it!

I hope everyone is doing GREAT this weekend, and feeling GREAT, too! :goodvibes Enjoy your Sunday's, everyone!!!

ooo Meg it's BEAUTIFUL!!! Totally fantastic! Love the theme! Keep posting pictures as you go along:-)

Yahoo! 20 weeks today! I can't believe it!:cool1: I was very stretchy last week and thought that I would see a bit more of a growth spurt over the weekend but not so much:upsidedow I think Mike and I are going to do some window shopping this weekend. We need to redo 2 rooms because we will be moving Meg into her own room as well. I tried to get everyone geared up to purge the draws and closets and Mike did pretty well. We have an AMVETS pick up on Wednesday so this evening I will go through Megs stuff and pick out all the stuff that is to small for her. She is still growing God bless her! My boss is out for the day so I am catching up on busy work today. Go Me!!!:goodvibes

Hope everyone is well!

E

love the pink and brown...
love the sports theme too....we were looking at the gator stuff, but as much as die hards we are, it seemed a bit over the top!! :)

Well, I did a little shopping for the baby over the weekend. We were at Costco on saturday and came across a 53" teddy bear! It is so huge and soft! I will put it in a corner of her room with a bug bow on it!

Whoo hoo to getting stuff done and catching up!! I was bad and did some Amazon.com registering today while at work. Thinking I am going with the Medela Freestyle (expensive!) breast pump for when I go back to work and need to pump. It is hands free and sounds awesome.

I need to go through my t-shirts as we are having a t-shirt drive for the Children's Shelter and they are looking for shirts that fit up to 17 yr olds, so I think mine would work for that.

I was hoping to post my birth story, but haven't finished writing it yet, but I didn't want to leave you hanging!!!!

Friday I delivered (after some tiny drama) a healthy baby................

BOY!!!!! Casey Joseph was born at 2:55pm, after 3 hours and 55 mins of labor, 2 (yes, just 2) pushes, weighing 7lbs 7oz and 20in long.

We came home yesterday and I can honestly say the 1st night was HARD. I was tired, hormonal and my big boys were having some adjustment/boredom issues so I had a lil breakdown...then Casey decided he doesn't want to sleep at night so I had maybe a total of 3 hours of sleep...and not all at once!

I'm hoping tonight is better!!!!!!

Well, before anything else, may injust say, HOW did you manage such an easy labor, and if you can share, you'd be a millionaire!!! ;)

With that said...

CONGRATS on a BOY!!!

I'm sorry you had a rough night! I hope tonight is better! Enjoy your precious boy! Can't wait to read the birth story!!!

Ugh, today is my glucose tolerance test, ladies! I'm so nervous, I REALLY don't want to have to sit there for three hours. Wish me luck!!!
