Yay for Team Blue, Mrs. Charming!!! Now we can chat about our fears/concerns with raising a boy.....but it will be so much fun!! All my friends with boys say that the boys are so good to their moms
Haha yeah, I'm gonna definitely have some boy anxieties. DH says DD is a girl with a "boy" personality anyway, lol!!
My daughter is so far from calm. In fact, she tells me she is "rough and tumble." The funniest part is she has an angelic face and is a delicate looking as a princess.....boy are looks deceiving...haha...
I guess I am just hoping that my little guy will be my calm one. My mom tells me that I was exactly like DD and my brother, who is 2 years younger, was the perfect child. Calm, good sleeper, never argued or gave them any trouble....I just can't imagine TWO rough and tumble little ones
If this little boy is more hyper than my DD... I am in *trouble.* I hope he's calm!!
Still hangin in over here, been having a ton of back pain and more contractions than I'd like. I'm on pretty restricted bed rest now, I spend almost all day on the couch watching tv. I'm ok with that

. DH leaves work to bring me lunch, so that I don't get up and cook real food, which I would likely do. Aline is doing well, but I don't think she's too happy with me right now, I keep poking her when she kicks me, lol.
Ahhh bedrest, I know thee all too well. At least you have a good hubby to bring you lunch!
I have the PCOS also, as well as endometriosis. I know the feeling of being useless at that time of the month. The IUD is supposed to be a good choice for BC- no worrying about pills or anything, and I believe it lasts for up to 5 years. If you're not in a rush to have any more it might be a really good choice for you

Talk to your doc BEFORE the baby arrives and have a game plan for afterwards- that's what I did this time around and it was much better to get the info/make the decisions now rather than at my 6 week checkup trying to figure everything out
Count me in on the PCOS/endo club! I had to get my endo burned away (and a few other "modifications") because if I didnt, I don't think I'd have gotten pregnant again!
Obsession with LOTR??

My son is Luke, as I've mentioned before. Since before he was born, DH has been doing the whole "Luuuuke, I am your father" thing.

Our Luke is also part of a set of boy/girl twins so DH has big dreams that some year I am going to feel like making elaborate Halloween costumes and make Luke & Leia for Luke & Lilly, Darth Vader for him, that chick with the weird hair for me, and our oldest gets to be, I think an Ewok.

He is completely serious that he thinks this is a great idea, so I hear you on dorky!
FWIW, I never would have thought of that from the initials ORK
We totally thought of the name Luke, specifically for Star Wars. I even said that if we do, I'd be OK with the middle name "Skywalker" LOL. It'll show up on most everything in his adult life as "S" anyway. Other than that we thought of Logan, aka Wolverine from X-men. HAHA.
Oh and the "chick" with the weird hair is Queen Amildala. She's Darth Vader's (secret) wife and Luke and Leia's babymomma.
We're nerds. Ohh yess, some year, we're totally going to Star Wars Weekends!!
I'll be 23 next Wednesday.

And I'll eventually (say, August!) have 2 little ones.

OMG!!

You're one brave woman!! Oh and I feel like an old fart at 29! lol
Congrats!!! I know I am a little late with my welcome to you but I don't get on here as much as I'd like. DH and I were told we could not have children so we never allowed ourselves to dream about kids and now I'm pregnant - so exciting!
That. is. awesome.
I will be 38 when I have our first in October.....I am a bit worried about us being older parents....but we are happy for the blessing - even though we had to wait a long long time. We try not to think about how old we'll be when the baby graduates from high school and college, etc.
I think 38 is about the average age for moms where we live. I feel like I need my own episode of "Teen Mom".
Have any of you tried both the Bella band as well as the cheaper Be band version at Target? I'm trying to decide if the Bella band is better and worth the extra money. I'm only 5 weeks in but I'm bloated and most of my summer shorts won't close. Same thing happened with my first.
I just bought one today (OK, a BeBand but still) ! My "hidden belly" maternity pants were falling down and sagging so we stopped in Target. I bought one, but I tried it on in the dressing room first. I was afraid it wouldn't be worth the $16 or whatever, but yes, it is!
WDW or BUST: I'm sorry about you having a hard time about the anniversary of your m/c. I had a hard time too.
Oh!! I bought one of the Bright Starts baby loungers in blue... hehe I can't believe we're having a boy. We've both discussed that we wouldn't be suprised if at the 20+ week u/s that we'd be told it was a girl, or go through 2-3 u/s's and be told boy... only to have a girl come out!!
