It's a cute picture though!
Thanks!
Anyway! I picked out this crib:
and someone in the review section said that the Leksvik furniture from IKEA matches perfectly... so I'm going to get:
Those look like they match pretty well! Some of DS's furniture is from Ikea too!
This is the bedding I have
Does anyone have an opinion on Epi vs IV? I'm kind of afraid of the epidural and I'm not sure what the options are. My OB is on vaca so I won't see him for another 3 weeks and I have an appt with a diff OB Friday, but I'm not sure if she has a different routine than him. Any advice?
That bedding is really cute, we have the Rainforest swing, bouncer, and high chair for DS that we plan to use again!
Love the cake pics, can't wait for more! My sister has recently gotten into cake decorating too, and she's really good, but I don't have any pics. She sends them to my cell, but the color always is distorted and funky.
As for the Epi vs IV - the IV did NOTHING for my pain when I was in labor. The Epi was wonderful. I

the anesthesiologist! Unfortunately, so did all the nurses, and their flirting when I was in pain was driving me crazy! "oh, Dr. T! You're so funny!"
Here is one of part of our nursery...It's the Pop Monkey set from Babies R Us:
That's how we decorated DS's room! You can't tell very well in this pic either, but the walls are light green.
It's a bit far away, but this is a picture before Lucas moved in...
Cute!
It is too early for me to shop but I spend so much time daydreaming about what I want the nursery to look like, etc. I can't wait until we know the gender!
So much cheaper than shopping when you don't know the gender yet! You're probably next!
DD is sickies, and I'm just kinda starting to feel human again... except now I'm puking all the time. Ugh. Thanks, post nasal drip. Thanks.
Sorry your DD is sick too, I hope you're all feeling better soon!
Anyway, a few months ago I fell in love with a dinosaur set at Sears.
I also think I've switched away from the monkeys. When I found out who made the dino bedding, I looked on their website and found this!!
I put our paint chips in with it, still trying to decide if it matches or not.
The dinos is really cute, but I think the monkeys match your walls too. Have you tried looking for the dinos on
Amazon or ebay?
Hey ladies! Today is a bit of a sad day for me. It was a year ago today that I found out that I had most likely lost that baby (which ultimately I had). The good thing of course is that I'm actually pregnant again now which makes it a bit easier. However I am so sick of being exhausted and nauseaus....it's making me crazy. Any suggestions on how to deal with both? I can tell that I'm definitely older this time around....or at least that's what I'm blaming it on right now.
Sorry about your sad day.

The best way to deal with exhaustion is a nap!

Seriously, I can't find anything else that works. Sometimes taking a walk makes me feel better, but it's so hard to get my butt up! I never had much nausea, ginger ale seemed to help. And eating small frequent meals, mine is worse when I let my stomach get empty.
That's how my cramps are. I'm debating right now if I want to go for the endometrial ablation or the partial hysterectomy after baby arrives. I need to do something to not have to suffer like I have in the past. I was actually on the pill at one point to try to control my endometriosis and I bled for 3 1/2 months, had to have surgery and everything. It was awful and I don't care to ever experience that again.
I had lapro and lupron to take care of my endo, and took seasonale to have less frequent periods after, but never bled for that long - scary!

I would be considering other options if you are sure you're done, but I'm not sure I'm done yet.
Congrats!!
He was so big, though.. that it hurt to lay him on my belly because of the CS incision. He was 9lb5oz and 22" long.. so even with his head right by my shoulder, he hit right where my incision was with his feet. It sucked.

It does seem my incision is higher than most of the others on the New Moms thread, though. It's pretty much right in line with my hip bones.
We have a name! I can't believe I forgot, so I am editing this back in.
My favorite is Owen Reid... but nothing is decided. I think DH favors Owen Walter... but I keep thinking that if I do that people will think we did it for Walt Disney.
We asked Lucas if he liked Owen and he spit up, so I think that means yes.
My incision is quite a bit lower than yours, without being too graphic, it's just above the hair line.
I like Owen Reid better. Love Lucas's reaction!

My DS says we're having a boy, and he wants to call him "junior". Junior what, I don't know.
I just can't imagine TWO rough and tumble little ones
That is exactly what I am scared of!

If this one is like DS, I am pretty sure I am done!
Still hangin in over here, been having a ton of back pain and more contractions than I'd like. I'm on pretty restricted bed rest now, I spend almost all day on the couch watching tv. I'm ok with that

. DH leaves work to bring me lunch, so that I don't get up and cook real food, which I would likely do. Aline is doing well, but I don't think she's too happy with me right now, I keep poking her when she kicks me, lol.
Glad you're hanging in and Aline is doing well. Lol at poking her - I used to do that to DS.
My daughter Carrington (14 months) has a neutral vintage pooh room.
That is how we did DS's room before we moved. My sister painted it for us as a surprise one day while we were at work, and it turned out so cute!
