Gabes Mommy,
Glad to hear things have gone well. I have GD too if you want to PM me. I've done really well with my diet and have not had to go on insulin. u/s are all coming back perfect for size and baby blood pressure etc.
re: breaking my water
I assume it would be done at the house here. I didn't ask, it wasn't a big conversation. But yes, I would prefer to be in labour first and then have my water break on it's own. That's the way it's happened in the past.
When it is done do they have to use a speculum to pry you open?
I have no idea what the status of my cervix is.
Last night DH and I were watching Idol and commenting and out of the blue he asks me about my mucous plug. Gotta love our conversations.

Actually just this week Scooner decided she likes the names Lucky & Arthur for the new baby. However, those names are already being used by our black lab and her stuffed puppy. Darnit.
at your DH asking about your mucous plug!
Argh ...
Baby's head is still up there a bit. Going to see a doctor tomorrow who will discuss induction. She can examine me and maybe a little poking around will get the contractions going. Midwife will do more on Tuesday.
He said the nurses may have over-reacted a bit. Still, I'm glad that I went through it because the diet course did teach me some better eating habits.

Im very young (only 21) and the thought of not having my mom there put me into tears when I found out. I know I'm married and that isn't the reason why we got married I just got pregnant on our honeymoon, but I still need my mom I always will me and her are very close so if shes not there its going to be hard. Sorry I'm complaining sooo much its just that it hasn't been easy to say the least. But on a happy note his room is all finished and ready to go!! And we picked out his name its going to be Logan Zeki(its turkish) DH is turkish so we wanted to give him a turkish middle name it means smart. It's different and my family cant say it lol but thats okay since they can say the first name. I hope everyone is doing great and welcome to the new mommies and babies

I think at the end of the day I'm going to put my foot down. It's my body getting sliced open to pull out a kid I've been baking for 9 months... I think I should get to go where and with whatever OB I am most comfortable with! That isn't crazy, right?
