Ohmygoodness! 39 weeks.

I still can't believe Veronica and Sarah are in their mid 30's too, I remember thinking that was a huge milestone.

I'm still horribly emotional and already a nostalgic person and thinking about how we all got together so early and now it's the end is going to make me cry. :sad1:
I don't do well with change and Lucas is by far the biggest change I've ever had!

I have been teary over having to be away from my DS for the first time while I am in the hospital.

Change is huge. I am so worried too about DS adjusting to his sister.

PAtsy your little guy is so darn handsome, what a beautiful baby!!!

I hated being away from my oldest DD with her little brother was born. She adjusted well to him, but was mad at me for days for 'leaving' her. She eventually forgave me, but I remember how sad I was when she wouldn't look at me at the hospital.

I'm a little late doing this but here is my re-intro for all of the newbies as well!

My name is Maggie, 24, from Tennessee. I am 27wks pregnant with our first baby boy! We have been married for 3 years and were engaged 2 years prior to that. We had a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding... which was all we could have ever dreamed of, and then some. I am a homemaker, soon-to-be SAHM and DH, 25, does finance. We are extremely excited about our very planned new son. I can't wait to get to know all the newbies :)

I know! Where did the time go? :confused3 I can't believe I'm only six weeks away from Jacob being here.

I was thinking about that yesterday too. When I first joined this thread I was only about 9 weeks along...now so many have had their babies and soon me and Sarah and a few others are going to be off the list as well.

But just remember, we have formed some great friendships here and even if we aren't on the Mom's To Be thread anymore we can still talk all the time through the New Mom's thread AND Facebook and Myspace too. Plus, we still have the mom's and kids WDW trip to plan for in a couple of years ;)

Even though I've only been on here for like 10 weeks (my first post is wayyy back on page 17 ;) ) I'd love to be in on this. . . :) I live in Miami so I can be flexible :)

Of course! Anyone from here is welcome to join in...especially considering the fact that we're at least two years away from planning anything definite :rotfl:

Hey everyone hope you all had a good weekend.I am 12 weeks today and get to stop using the progesterone(Yay)I had my nuchlear sono today to check for down syndrom and everything went well so that is good.I met my new high risk doctor(I had a different one with my 1st)and he was really nice.I will be seeing him every 4 weeks for now.The baby was getting annoyed during the test and kept flipping over and putting it's hand up over it's face-another one with an attitude!!Tomorrow I go to my ob for a regular check up.He still has me on every 2 weeks-just to keep an eye on me,it's good but it sort of makes me nervous like what is he waiting to happen you know?I guess I am just being paranoid! Most of my problems with my dd didn't start untill end of 2nd trimester so I thought I would have more time till I see him every 2 weeks.I am trying to find decent airfare home from Disney for our trip and it is so high-I already booked there for 89 but for 229 home we may never come back!My dd had her field day today(rescheduled from last week cause of rain) and I couldn't make it because of doctor and she was not happy with me.I feel bad cause I am always there but I guess she will have to get used to sharing time after all these years.

I never did a re-intro for all the newbies.... :)

I'm Valerie, I'm 37. I have 1 DS who is turning 6 on Friday. pirate: He was born 3 months premature, at 26 1/2 weeks gestation. He has mild CP, so fine & gross motor issues. He wears braces on his lower legs & does not have the stability, strength, or stamina of his peers, but he is finishing up Kindergarten in a mainstream classroom & is smart, funny, friendly and generally an awesome kid. We are also watching him for potantial attention issues in school -- which is pretty common among preemies. He is also a huge Disney fan -- we have taken him to WDW 4 times already. In his mind, the only vacation destination there is -- is WDW. :goodvibes

I am 28 weeks pregnant with twins.:cool1: Have already gotten further with these 2, than I did with my son. But my "adventures in pre-term labor" started at 21 weeks -- it has been very stressful. I have been in the hospital a few times already. The last one started Memorial Day weekend & was 10 days in 2 different hospitals. But now that we're past 28 weeks, my DH likes to say that we're 'playing with house money.' I'm at home on pretty strict bedrest -- hoping to make it past 32 weeks, so I can come back to my regular OB & deliver at my local hospital. For the next month or so I've had to transfer my prenatal care to the high risk OBs at a further hospital that has a regional perinatal center & NICU.

My ideal would be to make it to August. 8/1 would mark 35 weeks for me -- 8/8 would be 36 -- average gestation for twins & would mean babies for my birthday!

Wow, we're pretty close! I'm 39 years old & just hit the 38 week mark yesterday. This is my first, a girl! :lovestruc

Mine too...I am so darn excited!!! DH keeps saying I must be excited to dress up my little doll. He knows I am going to love all the bows and frills that come with a girl.

Baby girl clothes are pretty fun! And I'm looking forward to having some around my house again myself.

I haven't posted more than a few times throughout the thread, but I'll introduce myself. I'm 28 and run a program for adults with developmental disabilities. My husband and I have been together since we were 16, married for almost 4. This is our first child and don't know if we are having a boy or girl. We're 34.5 weeks in, so just a few more to go! I'm terrified of childbirth, but logically know it will be just fine. I think I'm coming to terms with it the larger and more uncomfortable I get ;).

Well it is our first girl too, since it is our first baby (I Know, I Know, it doesn't count) - BUT what is exciting is that my MIL only had boys (3) and soooo wanted a girl, and she is over the moon about her. . . I sometimes worry she'll spoil her too much!

Good afternoon girls. Well, it looks like my husbands wish is going to come true. He will be a Dad on Father's Day. I was scheduled for a c-section today.:scared1: I go in Thursday at 10:00 and will have her sometime between 12 and 12:30. I can't believe it. Even as I type this, I am in denial. Wowzers!!! I will have a baby in less that 72 hours.:yay: Right now the doctor is guessing she weighs 7 1/2 pounds. We'll see. I am glad that I have a few days to get some things done around the house. Tick Tick Tick...:cheer2:

Disney Ron - Yes, all the little girl clothes are so cute! I have been bombarded with adorable outfits, including 4 that are classic Pooh.

MinnieFan4ever - Wow, that's exciting! Congrats & good luck!

My Dr. has never even mentioned C-section as an option. Should I take this as a good thing that everything is going smoothly and no concerns. I wonder if she will bring it up this week if I have made no progress. Stupid me I forgot to ask last week how big she thought she was going to be.

Hello everyone!

Had a busy weekend. My final shower (yay!) was yesterday. My mom went all out and it was really nice. It was outdoors and the weather was awesome!

DH finished the mural in Lily's room today, so hopefully I can post pics of that tomorrow. We're going to BRU tomorrow night to buy the travel system (with coupons), a monitor and other stuff we didn't get.

Questions: Anyone buy a really nice breast pump? I think we might just rent one from the hospital since it seems like nothing under $200 gets good reviews...

And crib matresses...is it okay to have a gap on the sides? I thought they were supposed to fit very snuggly, but the one we got has about 1 inch gaps to either side?
