Bye bye old room... hello new nursery! We got the primer painting and patching done tonight. I'm so excited! The room looks so much bigger now without that navy blue. DBIL is coming back to help DH paint after the weekend.

My sisters and close friends are having a lunch on Saturday for me and baby and we have a baptism Sunday in the morning and a combo high school/college grad party after that. I think I caught DSs cold because my throat is so sore. I hope it doesn't turn into something more. I want a fun weekend, not a sick one.

So glad your room has gotten started...I am jealous.
Hopefully, DH will get ours going soon. He just got a new job which begins 6/1 so he is going to have more free time at home... so there is hope!

OK, I am having an awful time falling to sleep lately. I toss & turn for an 1-2 every night. I hate it. I just can't get comfortable...how about all of you.
I can't wait to sleep on my belly again.

Ann

Me too! I was a belly sleeper before I got pregnant and that's honestly been the hardest adjustment to make. My hips hurt all the time from sleeping on my side. I can't wait until I can sleep on my stomach again :thumbsup2

I am the same way. Last night I got up to sleep in the guest room because I didn't want to wake up my husband. My doctor told me to take some benadryl before bed, it makes me sleepy. Plus my nose has been getting stuffy when I sleep. Anyway, it does seem to help.

That's how our nursery looked beforehand, navy blue. It took so many coats of primer. I will have to find a photo to compare. I think I would be freaking out if I was 36 weeks and just starting the nursery... DH has a big honey do list this weekend lol!

Sleeping is so hard! I knew you had problems sleeping when pregnant I just didn't expect to have them so soon. I worry about sleeping in the wrong position and now that I can feel him if I am on my side and I feel him I worry that I am hurting him and change positions. I fall asleep like after 2am everyday. Small price to pay though in the long run.

Sleep? What's that? I feel like I toss & turn all night long. My hips just kill me, I stay on one side til I can't stand it anymore & then switch to the other side, til I can't stand that side anymore & repeat -- ALL NIGHT LONG. Grrrr. I get to pick which kid currently get squooshed, left side- boy, right side- girl.

So had my weekly OB appt. I'm almost 24 weeks, slowly creeping along. And my belly is measuring about 33 cm -- so about 33 weeks. Good news I guess is that I'm now bigger than I ever got with my son, he was about the size of a 28 weeker at 26 1/2 weeks. So I get to be large & uncomfortable a whole lot longer than most, great. I also got the nasty orange drink, to do the GTT next week. My appt is at 9:30 -- the kids will be jumpin' next week, I'm certain. I'll have to get up early so I can eat something protein heavy before I have to drink the orange stuff.

So my doc OK'd short jaunts out of the house, no hours spent on my feet, but quick runs to the store or drive thru, fine. Good thing too. DH pretty much has had me on house arrest the past 2 weeks. It was making me crazy. I wouldn't stand up well to strict bedrest, I can tell you that much. I would have to be hospitalized if that were the need. Hopefully we don't get there.

I'm having issues and I'm only 18 weeks. I am also a stomach sleeper - and my hips, arm, etc. are very unhappy with the new arrangement. . . I have a body pillow between my legs and that helps some.

I guess I felt a little guilty about waiting so long but we just kept putting it off and now we're down to the wire. DH works a full day and then does the FD after so we try to match up the free time and things to get done. We had DS room done a month or so before he came but I'm ok getting it done now. My BF is a great artist so I'm going to have her come over and help me paint some bubbles on the wall to match the bedset.

Doesn't the navy paint make you wonder? I mean I like accent colors, but that was way too much. Not to mention the switch plates were painted red! Not exactly a peaceful place to rest. lol

You get to take yours home? We have to drink it in 5 minutes at the lab and then wait there for an hour! That's lucky to get to do it when you feel instead of being watched like a hawk! ;)

Cathy is totally freaked out and scared.

We went to the dentist yesterday and they told her that she had mild peridontal disease. Now she is completely terrified that it will cause complications. We have an appointment with another dentist on Monday that is expected to be able to give us good treatment options and we will discuss our options with the OB on the first, but the waiting will drive Cathy totally and completely over the edge.

Yeah, I got a sheet with specific instructions. Drink the whole thing w/in 5 minutes, an hour before the appt time & arrive 15 minutes early for the appt & when I check in tell them exactly when I drank the stuff so that they can be sure the blood is drawn at the correct time. My office typically runs pretty much on time, so it generally works out OK I'm sure.

My doc's office has someone on staff to do the draws, so I don't need to go to a lab, makes it much easier, I'm sure.

Actually the hormones of pregnancy can be the *cause* of her mild periodontal disease. It's not a reason to panic, just go to the dentist & get it taken care of. If it seems particularly severe case they might reccomend some prophylactic antiboitics for a few days after treatment.

I have lousy teeth & gums. I actually see a periodontist in addition to a regular dentist. At my last cleaning, the hygenist was a bit freaked out at the state of my gums & that I was pg. They fit me in to see the periodontist that day, so he could evaluate it & he wasn't too concerned. He just told me to keep my next cleaning appt in July & make an appt to see him again after the babies were born. So I have an appt for October w/ the perio.

Totally.. My teeth werent the BEST.. but the twins just DESTROYED my teeth. A multiple pregnancy is way worse then a singleton on your teeth. About a week or two before I delivered my dr told me to take calcium to help my teeth... would have been nice if she had shared that with me at the beginning of my pregnancy. :lmao::lmao:

Oh man do I wonder what the people who lived here before were thinking!!! 2 bedrooms with navy blue walls, those glow in the dark ceiling stars were on the ceiling of every roof - even the master bedroom, and there is a teddy bear Santa fan pull in the dining room :confused3:scared1:

I told Robert when we move out of state we are buying NEW construction!!

Try being 37 weeks + and not even living in your house. :rotfl:

We're moving our bed and washer/dryer tomorrow. I still need someone to come do the drywall in the nursery closet where the HVAC people destroyed it... then I can set things up in there. :lovestruc
I've got a contractor coming by Monday night to run the gas line for the dryer but he didn't give me a straight answer as to whether or not he'd be willing to do the drywall for us... :headache:

Yipeeeeee!!! Natalie's bookcase came today:banana: I am now done with all the furniture. I still need to order a rug for in there and hang some things on the wall. My MIL is making her curtains. Then I am done:cheer2:

So I bought a big exercise ball to sit on and get things more "pliable" down below. I'm not sure that was a good idea though-I have been feeling too pliable!! :lmao: Its very comfortable sitting on the ball but man, I feel like I have dilated and that he could just slip right on out.

I'm totally there with ya'll on sleep. I am so tired from not sleeping well-same thing with the hips. it hurts after a while so i have to roll the big ole belly over to the other side. Not to mention the numerous times I have to haul myself up and out of bed to go to the bathroom! :headache:

We haven't finished our bedroom construction. Why does it seem like so many of us are either moving into new homes or under construction while pregnant?! I don't think we planned this very well-surely it would have been easier doing these things while NOT pregnant! :rotfl:

I have an appt. for next Wed. for my $59 4-D u/s set to music. I can't wait!!

Hi everyone!
Just checking in real quick! I was at a 2 day conference, now I'm home and tired! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Cathy is totally freaked out and scared.

I know someone else already said this, but pregnancy can cause this and it's relatively normal and no reason to freak out at all. They'll take good care of her and everything will be fine.

I know, it's a little crazy.
DH and I hurried up to find a house, buy it, and then we kinda slowed down when it came to actually getting into it.
I can still remember the day we called our Realtor (who we weren't too happy with to begin with, we should have just switched) to say "We need to find a house, ASAP, we're going to have an extra house member!" :rotfl:

Good Saturday morning everyone. I actually feel like I slept a little better last night. I did have to get up 3 times to use the bathroom, but I was able to fall back asleep. Then the storms came in around 5 am. That woke me up as well. But all in all, I feel pretty good today.:cheer2:

I have a photography class today. We bought a new SLR camera and I have no clue how to use it. I want to be able to take really good pictures of Natalie and not always have to use a studio. Who knows, this could turn out to be a new hobby.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!:thumbsup2
