Moms to Be Part 3

Those are great pictures! I can't believe how much you can clearly see on the 4D. Our office doesn't offer it either, just the plain old black and white. But it's better than nothing. I arm getting anxious about Monday. I don't think I've ever wishes a weekend to be over before. :goodvibes

I don't want to take my rings off! I had to with DS1 and was only able to wear my wedding ring. It was weird that it fit but the engagement ring didn't. DH brought my ring to the hospital with him and I was able to wear it again right after DS was born. I did have to get my anniversary band off my right hand with dish soap and olive oil though last time. That was so painful! I can't imagine having to cut it off. I would cry.

I can't wait to see my little girl Thursday!

Holy cow! It must be exciting to know that Thursday is the big day. Isn't it funny how everything has to be just right when they come home then a few weeks later the house is upside down and you could care less? I feel like I'm playing round up sometimes with all the laundry and clothes. It just never seems to go away...

I know-it doesn't matter how much I do this weekend-by Wed the house will be upside down again! At least now I'm not tutoring after school, so I can get home at a decent hour, and ds11 doesn't have any baseball games this week. So I'm trying not to stress.

We are heading out to eat in an hour and to see Star Trek, so I think my cleaning is done for today! Ds11 is feeling a little better. I told him we'd split a steak-he doesn't have much of an appetite, and I just can't hold much right now. If we split a steak and baked potato, maybe we'll have room to split a dessert too!

Enjoy the movie--sounds like it's really good!

Thats too funny. DH is giving me a "date night"... I get to pick a restaurant and a movie, too! Only I chose Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. I'm just not much of a Star Trek fan. :confused3

I hope you guys have a great time!

My camera cord came, I wanted to post a belly picture (not nearly as cute as Jacob, I know!) but I'm excited that I finally look pregnant for sure :rotfl:... Pardon the partial see-through of the shirt and the white undergarmet. I tried to antique it to kill the look...haha

Veronica, those pics melted my heart. So darn cute. My office does not offer them either. Those pics are so clear it is amazing.

Patsy, nice belly photo. You look great and definitely pregnant!:rotfl:

December, wow Thursday...it will be here before we know it. Hope your DS is feeling better.

Knock on wood, I do not have swelling yet and rings are fitting the same.

Night all, take care of those precious babes and Happy Mother's Day if I do not get a chance.

That was me. Natalie was going crazy last night. She kept rolling and kicking and punching. In fact, she is doing a pretty good job right now dancing. She and the banana  could have a dance off.

My little girl is still making me queasy too! I swear it wasn't this bad with my older kids (but it probably was).

I went to Dallas this weekend (about 2 1/2 hours from home) because I am a Broadway fan and RENT was playing with two of the original cast members. I kept trying to talk myself out of spending the $$, but how often does a little Okie gal get to see RENT with the original Mark and Roger? (I'll clue you all in-NOT often at all.) I had a birthday last Sat. and Mother's Day is tomorrow, so it was my treat to myself. I also hit IKEA while I was there. I didn't get anything big for baby, but I did an adorable frog blanket, changing table cover, and a few other matching accessories. I'm not usually a fan of frogs at all (except for Kermit), but these were PRECIOUS. Anyway, that's why I was quiet this weekend.

Piecey, I loved the baby belly pic and well...your poor DH. He's really been through it, hasn't he?

I also saw some mention of inductions. All four of mine wound up being inductions without a c-section in the bunch. Apparently, that's just what my body needs to get things taken care of-BUT, I would love to have experienced going into labor spontaneously at least once. And since I get a bonus baby, I'm still hoping for one more chance.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

But here is the froggy blanket I fell in love with today!

I'm thinking I will just buy a crib bumper and sheets in either pink or white to compliment the blanket. I had the fancier crib bedding with my older kids and never could use the comforter/duvet because they were too thick and heavy. So, I'm skipping it this time I think and just decorating around the cute frog. I'll post pics once I get the crib set up and ready.

I LOVED the Star Trek movie! Dh didn't like it as much, but dd9 loved it too (ds11 still isn't feeling well, but he liked it). I think it was more in the vein of the newer shows. Dh liked the original series more than me, where I am a fan of the TNG shows. I fell in love with Picard and his bald headed sexiness way back in high school, when dh still had hair! Lucky for him I always did like bald men. Ds11 decided he wanted his own steak, and was able to eat about half of it. So I enjoyed my own, with cajun seasoning. It was really good. It was fun to have some family time. I can't believe in 5 days we'll be a family of five:scared1:

I'm dying to see that movie! But after my little Dallas trip, it will have to wait until the next pay period. I'm glad you all had a night out before baby! (I loved TNG in high school too!)

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

I never really got into the Rent thing but I LOVE Broadway shows so I get it at least a bit.. and I know I'd LOVE to see Wicked with the original cast, so lucky you!! I'm glad you treated yourself-- it's nice to get a little extra time in before the baby comes!! :goodvibes

I'm glad to hear none of yours turned into c-sections! Considering I'll be induced to avoid a c-section, it'd be a bit annoying to me if I ended up that way anyway! Not that I'll argue, I'm ready to meet this little kiddo and so is his daddy (his daddy needs someone else to love and I think he's ready!! :lovestruc) Thanks for sharing! I'm excited for Thursday to roll around so I can see what she says!! I hope you get your spontaneous birth this time around. :wizard:
(I was sitting in the movie theater tonight wondering what would happen if my water broke all of a sudden :rotfl:)

..and that blanket is ADORABLE! I think it would make a great centerpiece, like you were talking about, with a few other colored pieces with it. Too cute!
I've gotta take DH to the hospital in Pittsburgh so maybe I can swing by Ikea... they have some GREAT stuff for kid's rooms, don't they?? :goodvibes

december, I gave your report of the Star Trek movie to DH and now he's mad I drug him to Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past :rotfl:

I highly recommend IKEA for kid's room stuff! :goodvibes

Did you know Idina Menzel (and her hubby) were in RENT together before she was in Wicked? Needless to say, I would see the original Wicked cast in a heartbeat too! (And no, she's way too big of a star to tour with RENT anymore.)

Ohhh... no, I didn't know that! I saw Wicked in Pittsburgh last September and DH and I both :lovestruc.... the original cast recordings are spectacular! Idina Menzel definitely has a voice on her! She is super talented!! :)

I'm afraid I don't keep up too much on the Broadway stuff.. I just LOVE going to see shows. My first was The Producers in NYC (of course it was like 2 weeks after Matthew Broderick left!) then I saw Les Mis in London a week later and I was just hooked! The talent some of those people have is truly astonishing!! You can really tell they love what they are doing!

Oh, and Happy Mothers Day to all the mommies (and mommies to be!)

I just wanted to post a tip about those heavy quilts that come with the bedding sets. I made a beautiful wall hanging out of DS's. It brings so much to the room. I had a seamstress sew a pocket on the back, then mounted it on a fancy curtain rod on the wall. I get compliments all the time on it.

Just an idea to share.

Oh, I'm so jealous! I wanted to go see it when it came to Austin but I couldn't find anyone to go with me :( Austin's only about 45 minutes from me but I didn't want to go by myself. I would have loved to see Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp though! But I am going to see Wicked when it comes here to San Antonio in June so I'm happy about that :thumbsup2

Patsy, love the belly pic! You're too cute! Sheer top and all :rotfl:

Thanks for all the compliments on Jake's U/S pics everyone! I am just in total love with that little boy :lovestruc

I hope everyone here has a wonderful Mother's Day! I'm off today so I'll probably just hang around and relax. Should be nice!

I was so excited Enfamil sent me a 6 pack of ready to use formula in the mail yesterday. I love freebies...has anyone else gotten any?

I was kinda hurting last night during the movie, and thought about that myself.

I don't think you have to be a trekkie to like the movie. But knowing the show's history let you in on alot of inside jokes. There is alot of action, but alot of humor, too. And I even cried a couple of times!

A friend and I did that with our oldest DD's quilts too. (Which seems like both a lifetime ago and just yesterday-they are both hitting puberty big time, but usually still their sweet selves.)

I KNEW I was forgetting to compliment someone's u/s pictures! I LOVE those 4D pictures! Jake is already precious!

My family came with me to Dallas this weekend, but DH isn't into musicals, and while my 11 y.o. is; I didn't think she was quite ready for RENT. So, I did go to the show alone, which I have never done before yesterday. Both Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp were amazing, but Anthony Rapp...he just IS Mark. It was surreal to look at the stage yesterday and think "OMG! That's really THEM down there!" A lot of the other cast were the same actors from the final performance DVD, so I was just in Broadway heaven the whole time.

I saw Wicked the summer before last and loved it! And apparently I've been living under a rock because I didn't know until this morning that Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs are expecting a baby! Now that's going to be one gorgeous kid.
