Okay this is for you!!! I really do hope you are feeling better. Like I said before the mom in me hates to see people sad. Yes, I am one of those people pleasing type who just can't say no!! I'm hear with you guys and maybe those who made it can put in a few good words for us.
We still haven't heard from Brett or Josh, I wonder if any guys made it.

You ladies are so sweet! Thank you so much for the hugs. Like I said before, I was disappointed, but relieved, and even more so now because I wouldn't have been able to handle a camera crew following me around. I'm just too shy for that. I would've had to turn it down.

I think everything happens for a reason, and I had several good reasons for this not to work out. The Mom's Panel folks knew what they were doing, with me at least! I'm much more a behind-the-scenes person -- planning, organizing, hand-holding, working out the details to support the people in the limelight. I thrive that way, but I can't be in the limelight. A photo shoot is one thing; a camera crew, another entirely! The others are much braver than I am! (Am I weird, or are there others like me out there?) :::blushing::::

I don't know if I would have been able to handle that either....I most certainly would have been uncomfortable, not sure if I could have gotten past it for the opportunity to be a part of Disney like that, but I'm pretty shy too! You are not alone!

well guys, I'm out. I guess we'll hear from the rest tomorrow. Nothing like a little brain rot TV to help calm your nerves so I guess I go channel surfing for a bit. I'm still coming to lunch with chips and salsa.(oh, and for those who need it I'll bring the Corona and lime) Take care guys I wish you all joy during this time. This has truely been a GREAT experience. I feel a be sad that it is all over, I hope we can all stick together. Maybe we'll have to come up with a new thread idea, I mean what would I do without you guys

I have been following this thread practically since I submitted my entry the day the contest was announced. I was one of the gazillions not to make it to the second round and it was very upsetting. I do have to say that the rejection letter was so sweet though. It helped.

However, I have been following this thread and I just have to say that ya'all are fantastic people! The love and support shown here for the winners and the "non winners" is amazing and has made me quite vaklemp at times.

So, a big congrats to the winners and a big hug for the rest. You are all winners in my book.

Congratulations to all who made it on the first ever super special Mom's Panel! I can only imagine how excited and happy you all are right now. I am truly so happy for you!

And for those that didn't yet make it, I believe it's just a timing thing and you will make it next time. I bet the time will pass more quickly than you'd think. Let's put our hearts together and hope for more great news from Poohmomof5, RatBoy, JoRy, and mom2_2girlz. I hope I see good news from you guys tomorrow!

This whole experience has been such a pleasure for me. I just feel so honored that my introduction to participating in on-line forums was here on the DISboards with you. I hope next time we meet I will have earned my ears by helping lots of people on these boards. I am just having so much fun! I can't believe we waited so long to get internet access at home!

Me too! I really need to get to bed...took a shower, brushed my teeth, did one last check on the kids, but I had to just jump on here one more time before I shut the computer down, the suspense is killing me!

Yes, Dads were/are allowed on the Panel as well.

The way I see this is that "moms panel" is a generic marketing terminology relating to a focus group that is more family oriented. In my household my wife is a SAHM, but she has plenty of work to do just raising the kids. When it comes to planning vacations, that falls on me. I know I am not alone in this situation, and hope other Disney Dads out there can relate to that.

I'm sure I'll hear lots of silly questions about being a Dad on a Moms Panel, but I'm comfortable with who I am, and I am so very excited to be part of this experience!

I am sorry for all of my newest best buddies who didn't make the final cut. We all knew this part wouldn't be fun, but for tonight it is stinging just a bit more than I expected.
