Moms Panel Results!?

For those of you who made it to the second round:

Since the deadline has passed and your answers have been submitted - would you share what the questions were?

Thanks and good luck to all!:cheer2:

Still nothing. I'm going crazy too. Mostly because we are headed to WDW on 12/14, but if by some miracle I get picked for the panel we might rearrange our trip a little. Do you guys think the training is the free trip or do you think it is seperate? I have seen lots of opinions and no one seems sure. I'm also curious what the training will be.
I had thought we would have heard by yesterday so we could have scheduled phone interviews today. Maybe their idea of scheduling is telling is when we have to be available. Hopefully we will be hearing real soon! Good luck to everyone!:)

My guess is the free trip is the training trip Dec 8-12. And I think you are right about the scheduling...they may say "we will call you on this day between the time of this and that."

I do think we will know one way or another today. Hopefully...

Dec 8-12 is only 4 nights, didn't they say that the free trip was 6 nights/7 days? They also said the free trip was a trip for 4, I'm sure they are going to be commanding much of the panelists' time with training, not much time for individual family time, so probably the free trip will be whenever the winners want. I thought I remember reading the 6n/7d thing in the rules, but I could be wrong.

I do think you are right about the scheduling, that they will just inform those moving to round 3 what time they will be calling, and it's up to the round 3 winners to arrange their schedules as necessary. With the first day of interviews being early next week, and it's already Friday and we haven't heard anything, I doubt they would have time to email, wait for a response, and then reply back to confirm, especially with today being the end of the work week.

Good luck everyone and let's keep those positive vibes that several members of the final 12 will be DIS'ers!

I just got in on the thread! I made it to the 2nd round too and I am so anxious to find out when they are announcing the finalists. I have to leave until later this afternoon and it is going to kill me to not be on the computer checking email every second! Good luck everyone!!!:cool1: :cheer2:

I've been a DISlurker for a long time, but I'm very active on another board. :flower3:

I've been watching this thread because :scared: I'm also through to the 2nd round and anxiously waiting to learn my fate!!

Does anyone want to hazard a guess whether the phone interviews will be during the day or during the evening? (If it's during the day, many of us would have work conflicts...)

From what I've seen, the training is for 5 days/4 nights and the vacation mentioned is 7 days/6 nights. I'm not sure whether this means that the two things are mutually exclusive or whether the Moms Panel participants would just make sure their 7 day/6 night vacation overlapped the 5 days/4 nights of the training. The fact that it says "you need to be available" and not "you and your family/guests need to be available" leads me to think that, perhaps, they are separate trips -- one for you to attend the training and one for you and three guests. Also, it wouldn't be much of a vacation for the participants if 5 days would be taken up with training -- being that the vacation is your compensation for participation in the panel. It's moot for me, however, because any day at Disney would be a vacation :woohoo:

I'm having to mentally prepare myself for a root canal in two hours and I don't know which is worse -- waiting for the word from Disney or anticipating a trip to the dentist.

Either way, good luck to everyone and thanks for giving me a place to meet you all...
Eileen

I remember seeing the 6 night thing somewhere too that's why I was wondering. I kind of pictured training would be staying at different hotels, trying different dining locations, touring the parks, and maybe some behind the scenes tours.
:cheer2: :cheer2: Come on email:cheer2: :cheer2:

Just found this from an article here on the DIS:

"Those 12 parents who have a passion for the Walt Disney World vacation experience will have the opportunity to share their vast knowledge of the resort and personal secrets of success with other families who are considering this magical vacation experience. In exchange, the 12 panelists will receive a 6-day/5-night vacation to the Florida resort for themselves and three other guests."

So it looks like that is not the December trip which is only four nights. I also think the panelists will be so busy on that trip that they'd never see their family if they brought them. My guess is that the trip is at a later date.

If that's the case then I couldn't move on anyway. My youngest dd is still breastfeeding and I couldn't leave her. :(

Wow - so maybe the winners will have two trips! :)

Less you think I was casually waiting around, I am also pretty anxious like the rest of you. I had meetings all afternoon yesterday, and I was constantly checking my e-mail on my phone. The people at the meetings finally said: "Wow, you must have some really important clients who you are checking on. I am so impressed with your dedication." Little did they know...it was all about Disney.:rotfl2:

It has got to come soon, though. I mean, there is no way they would send the e-mails over the weekend, right? Don't the people chosen for the next round have phone interviews starting Monday? Maybe the responses were all so amazing they are going to take us all? Boy would that be a fun trip!!!!

Anyway...just keep waiting...just keep waiting...just keep waiting. I know annoying...just a little punchy.:headache:

Fortunately that is not a problem for me, but I assume they will let you bring her along...and provide a sitter?

Good morning - we're at T-minus 10 hours!

If this is anything like my other contest experience, we may first get an email stating we made it or not - and if we made it, we would respond with a time and day the phone interview would take place. If they chose, let's say 100 people from the first list to go to the second round of semi-finalists, then I would guess they would narrow that number to about 30-50 finalists who would be selected for the phone interview. This is just a guess based on my past experience - and I could be way off.

Since I already won my frozen banana - I'm still holding to notification today - sometime between noon and 5pm eastern. Anyone who hears - POST!

Hopefully they would work with you. Maybe let you bring the baby and a family member to watch her while you're busy.

just keep waiting...just keep waiting...just keep waiting.

I'm thinking the exact same thing. I'm sure it is all part of the plan to build up interest and excitement around the panel.;)

It's going to be a hard day to be very productive as we all:surfweb:

Any more predictions for the timing? Clearly forecasting isn't my strength.:lmao:

I've been wondering if they will ask us not to post info to message boards, etc. at some point. But like someone said...it helps build the excitement.

I know someone a few posts ago asked what the 2nd round questions were...I don't even feel comfortable posting those...I'm not taking any chances!

I hope this isn't wishful thinking, but after a lot of research across many Disney boards, I could only find record of about 30 people who have said they moved on to Round 2. (And I can't imagine someone not *HAVING* to come to a board and say something eventually. :goodvibes ) The number of people who heard about the panel and aren't members of a Disney board aren't likely to double the number of people who are members and have posted their good news, so I'm guessing the Round 2 group is more like 50 people. With the phone interviews, I'd guess that they'd want a pool that is somewhere around 3x the final number of particpants, so I think it will be in the 25-30 range, probably a lot less, especially as they have to complete all the phone interviews in 3 days.

What do you all think of that? Do you think I'm way off in my guesstimations?

It has got to be by early afternoon today...right? I mean the people who are selected have their interviews starting Monday, so they have to give them (hopefully us) time to respond to the times. I mean this is important and exciting and all, but we also have jobs and families, so they have got to know we might have conflicts and we need time to reschedule them.

Right?

That's what I've been thinking too. I knew about the contest because of this board. I'm not sure how many people that don't frequent disney boards would have seen it. Especially since it closed early.
What do you suppose they will ask us on the phone? Do you think they will give us any idea in the next email (if we move on of course)?

I'm begining to get excited, even if we don't make the next round, should maybe be a cool little parting gift for making it this far (I hope). Already a winner at this point.
Good Luck to all.
