Moms Panel Results!?

Count me in. I got chosen to fill out the survey and seemed to meet the qualifications. They said they'd email back me either way. I did the survey this morning!

Now I'm really confused.

For any of you that made it to the next round I know some of us would love to read what you wrote on your original application. It would be interesting to see what Disney IS looking for. Thanks if you are willing to let us read your applications! Good luck to all of you!

I wish I remembered what the first round questions were! I never saved a copy of what I wrote, but they liked it enough to chose me for round two!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to comment on the fact that Disney sent an email to those who didn't make the 2nd round, after saying they wouldn't. I believe that after reading the wonderful, heartfelt responses from applicants, they realized that they couldn't not repond to each one. I'm guessing that they were surprised at how many applications they received, and how good they all were, and reversed their decision to only acknowledge those who were chosen for the next round. I take that as a big compliment to all of us!

I didn't even bother applying and now I wish I would have.
I'm going to be there that week and thought it would be a bummer to cancel my trip and then not win.

And BTW, I am the PERFECT person for the MOMS PANEL.
I wonder if these Moms/Dads are going to get paid or offered passes or anything?

I'm a Jersey girl who was picked for the second round as well. I teach in a school district 10 minutes from your hometown!

luvstink's response was posted pretty early in this thread (maybe page 4 or 5). A couple of replies later she noted that she was not chosen even though her response was a very good one. It will be fun to see who ends up as the chosen few. Good luck to all of you. Wish it were me!

Have you checked any old email addresses that you have used in the past?
My "loser" letter came to an email attached to my husband's name.
I do not think it was the email that I used when I answered the original three questions.

To anyone still waiting for an e-mail, check ALL of your e-mail accounts if you can

I posted this in the thread on the Families board but wanted to add it here as I know how it is to be waiting and wondering why I did not receive an answer either way. Not sure if this is the case with anyone else who has yet to get an e-mail, but here's how I found mine.

Here I was wondering why I didn't get at least a rejection e-mail and so today I went and checked my previous e-mail addy that I had on file with Disney like TWO YEARS AGO and there was my rejection e-mail. This is not my current e-mail on file with them, not the e-mail I used when I signed up, and not the e-mail they sent my confirmation to when I applied for the Mom's Panel. How, and why it was sent to that e-mail is beyond me but at least now I know.

I love Disney/WDW but I don't know how many times I have checked with them to be sure my info. is correct and updated. When I check it online it is always correct. I have never gotten a PIN code, but have gotten two different mailings from them announcing deals (one in '05 and one in '06) and both times had them correct my info. because they had my address but other family members names on the mailing because they had gone on a previous trip with us, although their last name does not match mine and I have always given the correct info. when booking the rooms for each family. And when calling to book a trip there usually seems to be something in their computer that is not correct. Anyway, this seems to be the case, for whatever reason they put in my name and an old e-mail address came up and they sent it to that.

Anyway, good luck to all chosen and hope everyone who has yet to get an e-mail gets an answer soon.

I checked your link and it doesn't sound or look familiar. My email is blocked from work but I will check when I get home and let you know. Initially I filled out the essay and this email was from the same people.

I don't have any old email addresses. I've had the same one for at least 3 years (when aldelphia became comcast), well before our first trip en famille. I've checked and searched every email folder, including my anti-spam and junk mail folders, I've checked my husband's email, I've checked my work email andd NOTHING!

I don't mind being added to the loser list, but sure would like to hear it from Disney. I wasn't expecting to hear, but since so many others got rejection letters, it would be nice to get one!

What do you do if your old e-mail account isn't active anymore? I applied for the mom's panel with my current email address, but when I originally signed up for the Disney website I had a different email acct. There seem to be quite a few of us who haven't heard anything.

Are you saying, you already sent in your responses after receiving your Congratulations email last night, and have already been chosen for the next round?

Unfortunately it does not mean I have been contacted already. I was just saying I have already finished my responses for Round 2 which they call the semi-finals. I think we are to hear next between the 24th and the 29th, as phone interviews start then.
