**Mommy and Ayden do Disney**take two**

I won't put Kelly on Space Mountain, I think it goes to fast and I cannot see her while riding, that makes me nervous. Have Ayden come with us, we get that cup spinning pretty good. I LOVE it.:cloud9:

See I told Chris we need to just buy AP's and go again when my sister goes..what would it hurt to go again the first week of May? :lovestruc

Maybe on your last day upgrade your tickets to an annual pass. I would if you even think you may go back again within a year. And since I already have a room in May you could have a free trip, you can crash :rotfl: We can leave the boys with the kids and take off on our own for a while.

Oh my goodness the fun we could have!
We were really thinking about another trip though with that extra tax money that's coming. We were thinking about a Xmas time trip. I keep going back and forth though about that or for Ayden and I to visit my sister in Seattle.
Disneyland vs. Seattle...tough decision huh? lol

So we're just 4 days away...but I'm not counting or anything. :cool1:
I'm going to get some packing done tonight. I'm SO very excited for some warmer weather. It's been cold and rainy here for so long, I feel like I have live in Seattle or something. Weather looks great for us next week....low 70's!

We got our photopass ordered, groceries ordered from Albertsons, reservations confirmed.....we're set.

3 more days of work and I'm ready for Disneyland!

Can't wait to read how your trip goes! Doesn't seem like the last few days go by the slooooowest? :rotfl2:

We're home....I'd give anything to be sitting on Main Street at the Carnation Cafe eating Oscars breakfast scramble. We had so much fun and I have some great moments to share.

Our flight left from Sacramento just a few minutes before 8. We grabbed breakfast at the airport. Here's Ayden with two of his cousins that went with us. Lilly is 2 and Justin is 7. And Ayden and I waiting to board our plane.

Very short flight....gotta love that! Once we arrived at John Wayne we got our luggage and headed out to meet the Disneyland Express bus. It was there within 3 minutes. :cool1: About 6 other families were on the same bus. THe driver informs us the route he'll take...Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian and Paradise Pier first. Then us (rinky dinks) as I called it. He said it was just the best route to take. I believed him for a minute...until we were driving past HOJO's and there was us and one other family staying there. Something about the onsite hotels being delivered first was more than just coincidence to me. Oh well...no biggie we're still in Disneyland. It went really quick though dropping people off.

Got to HOJO's and our room wasn't ready yet. We weren't expecting it to since check in is not till 3 anyway. They stored our bags for us and off we went to the park. The walk really isn't that bad. I'd say 6-7 minutes at most. DangerMouse is right...crossing at Manchester is better than stirring in with the crowds down the strip. We did though on the way back cross at the main crosswalk.

Yay we get our tickets!!!!
We did run into a little snag with our tickets. This is what I posted about it on the boards already.
we ordered our tickets through getawaytoday.com. No problem getting our tickets but as we were still at the window (thank goodness) I noticed on my ticket and my boyfriends ticket it said ONE magic morning when my sons said 2 magic mornings. We were ALL supposed to have two obviously. The guy at the ticket counter could not reprint our tickets, he actually had to print out a NEW magic morning ticket for my BF and myself. Same exact thing happened to my sister in law with her adult tickets too. Just something to check as you're picking up your tickets.
Can you tell we're happy to be there???

We got into the park around 11:30. First stop ...buzz lightyear!!
IMG_6669.jpg

After that we were starving for lunch so we headed to pizza port. Last year I had the pizza ...it was ok. This year I wanted to try the Chicken Fusilli everyone on here raves about. I have to admit I was in heaven. It was soooooooooooo yummy. Chris and I shared the pasta and the caesar salad which was wonderful! Ayden got the kids mini pizza that we had to wait 10 minutes for since they didn't have any fresh ones. THat was a real pita when you look at rows of pizza slices but the kids pizzas are baked a few at a time.
That's all for now....but check back often. I have a lot to share and LOTS of pictures!

Can't wait to hear more about your trip! I bet you guys had a blast.

It's good you guys checked your tickets, I will be sure to check mine in the future just in case. And how was the Hojo? I'm staying there next trip, was the walk really that short?

That is great that you had a short flight! I hate flying so the shorter the flight, the happier I am. :) Ayden is a lucky boy to have some cousins along for the ride!

Too bad about your tickets getting mixed up...but I am glad it was taken care of. I am looking into using GAT if we don't renew our AP's. I have heard a lot of great things...your situation sounds like it is just one of those things that happens. Would you use them again?

I am looking forward to reading more!popcorn::

Sounds like a good start. Cannot wait for more.

Everyone looks soooo happy. Gotta love that.

Yes kingshockey04 it really is a short walk. 7 minutes tops! I'll admit it was a little tough at night when you just wanted a really quick walk to the hotel, but seriously for the space and nice service at the HOJO's it was worth it. I followed the advice of another dis'er and crossing at Manchester does save you the foot traffic from the main crosswalk. At night though....we liked being where there was more people just because we felt safer. We would definitely stay there again.

daisy_77, I would definitely use GAT again....not sure what happened with our tickets but they quickly fixed it. I wouldn't say it was GAT's mistake...I think it was a DLR mistake when the tickets were printed. They were so helpful and easy to deal with at GAT with that alone I'd use them again.

Subscribing so I can keep reading about your trip! I'm so glad that you found some of my tips helpful! :goodvibes

Thanks for the advice, I'm jotting that down in my DL notebook right now. :goodvibes

So day one was fairly busy....figured it would be considering it was a Sunday. It was very windy and I had a bad feeling about fireworks that night. And yes, they were cancelled. We did our ol favorites...pirates and Haunted Mansion then a few rides in Fantasyland before heading back to our room at 3 to check in and wait for our groceries to be delivered from Albertsons. They were supposed to be delivered between 3:30-5...and showed up around 5:30. The front desk called and said they'd bring them to the room. A very nice guy was at our door within minutes. Talk about great service!! :thumbsup2

Here's a few from HM..can you tell Ayden was excited to go on it?
And of course..the Disney Suite above pirates.

So more about HOJO's. Love Love LOVED it! The service was wonderful....the room was very clean, very spacious and quiet. There was a note in our room about the pool remodel stating that work was done m-f from 10-5. We saw them out there...but never heard them. We were in bldg 2 botton floor room 2107. We did occasionally hear the freeway at night......but honestly you I didn't realize it was the freeway until the last night. It was not disturbing in the least bit and I DESPISE traffic noise when I'm trying to go to sleep.
Here's a few pictures of our room that I did get...and the garden pool, or cement hole :)

We took a nap when we got back to our room knowing we'd be closing the park down that night. Like I said...fireworks were cancelled, I was pretty dissapointed considering we were hoping to see fireworks sunday and DEP and RDCT on Friday. Anyway..it all worked out in the end but I'll post more about that later. In the meantime...here's a few more misc pictures from Monday.

Memories from the Country Bears inside the Pooh ride. Yea yea flash photography but nobody was on the ride but us!
IMG_6694.jpg

This one was for my dad...a lot of family memories were made here
IMG_6696.jpg

So they didn't let us in...but I did get a peek in the door when they let a crowd of about 12 people inside. Didn't see much
IMG_6709.jpg

Just a little big of pixie dust. This was the first time I had seen this. I didnt' think I'd like it at first by the pictures and videos from youtube I had seen. But really...I loved it. Just a little touch of Disney magic!
IMG_6725.jpg

And last but not least for day one.... two places I love seeing at night.

Day two...character breakfast at Plaza Inn with Minnie and Friends..WONDERFUL...and Toontown fun!
One more thing i forgot to mention....I pretty much became obsessed with Hidden Mickeys on this trip. Chris had bought me the book a few weeks before we went. I kept it in my backpack and checked it out while standing in lines...we found so many and I gotta say it was really fun.
I think my favorites were the ones in Pirates.
Here's a couple we found.

The tinkerbell spreads her magic all day and all night long. I got a great video of it as well. It really is neat.

I am SO glad we stayed at HOJO's. I loved everything about it. I would reccommend it to anyone visiting DL. I will keep updating soon. I promise :)
