Isn't today the last day of Tapestry of Dreams? I really liked this parade. It was so different from the usual character parades. So long ToD..... you'll be missed! :(

I am so glad I watched it (and videotaped it) last week. My kids never wanted to watch this parade, so I saw it by myself last week and it was wonderful.

well when i made the ps for rose and crowd for april, they said to come early because the parade might be going by and hard to get past.

plus isnt october the calendar year for wdw? i would think it would run through then.

BooHoo . . . loved this parade, especially when it was TON.

Fortunately, we've got it on video (on two different occasions) and I listen to the millennium CD all the time !!

Hello Everyone. I am sorry to say but it is raining here in WDW. I dont think they are going to have the ToD parade 2nite. I acutally was smart for once and taped it on wed. I shed a few tears but it was sad to see it go. Hope everyone has a nice day and lets put our Tapestry Music on at 6:10 and 7:45 one last time. Lets end the 100 years in happy smiles.

:(

I loved TON and I am so sorry it is ending.

I was really hoping that we would get to share it with DS just one time. :(

For all the fans - not to worry, I bet Disney will bring it back. Like some of their other parades.

My 7 yr old is sitting here with me and she has a tear rolling down her face. It is one of her favorite things at WDW. When I first told her it wouldn't be there in June, she burst into tears.

There was nothing like the puppets coming over and shaking the kids hands or pulling them into the parade to dance. And the music was outstanding.

Tapestry of Dreams will be sadly missed at our house. Thank goodness we have our tapes of it too.

We loved the parade. We are all sad. We loved to sit by one of the countries and watch it go I am so glad I have a video of the TON. At least we can see the video. Hopefully they have a new fun one for April.

I'll offer a different perspective - GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!

They should have called it Tapestry of Nightmares, as the repetitive music would cause me to wake up screaming in the middle of the night.

Does the word boring come to mind? I won't miss it and am glad it will be long gone by the time we get there in May.

Just a different point of view gang.

Sorry gang but I found this a very redundant parade myself. Even the song became a bore. I know this was an international parade but Disney has a couple international characters they could have thrown in, Aladdin, Mulan etc... I know they can do much better.

Put us in the camp that will really miss TOD/TON. We love the parade and did not miss seeing it everytime we went. What is funny is when I first heard about it I thought it sounded pretty stupid. But when I saw it, it just blew me away! I will miss it!:(

Hey Capt Jazbo I'm with you. I know some folks love this one, but I saw it during the Millennium celebration and thought...huh? OK, so they changed the name a couple of times and again I say....huh? I thought I was the only one. I look forward to strolling around WS in the evenings now and not having to look over my shoulder to make sure the parade is not coming. I found it took away from our leisure time enjoying the countries as they should be enjoyed and at our pace. Just think of all of that masking tape they'll save!

Someone is really behind on their facts. They cut the Morocco-United Kingdom section of the parade over a year ago. So it hasn't passed the Rose & Crown in a long time.

I have NEVER been a parade person. I've been to Disney World 8 times since I was about 5, and I think I had seen 1 full parade (and a few partial ones trying to get one place to another) before my last trip in Septemer. I made it a point to see TOD in September because the pictures I saw made it look so much different than a "normal" WDW parade. I LOVED it! The music, the puppets, the big turning drum-thingy, everything! Now I'm bummed that I didn't watch TON on my Dec 2000 trip, and I'm really bummed that I won't even get to see TOD again. :(

One of Disney's best, it will be very much missed by many, myself included.

Although I miss the TON, I was tired of TOD!
Those dream catcher things were just too odd. and it had run it's course and was getting old.

It could have survived longer if they hadn't overplayed it so much. It didn't need to run twice a night - every night. It got to the point that everyone that wanted to enjoy WS would be praying for the wind to really kick up!!!

I had my moment of silence when TON became TOD.

Now....on to the next great thing they have planned.....whatever it may be!:D

Yesterday, 3/1, they did have the last two presentations of Tapestry of Dreams. It was not raining, actually was a nice evening. There was a large group there giving them a really nice send-off, including myself. I still have a hard time thinking about it a whole day later, because tears well up in my eyes. When they went back through the gates for the final time at Morocco, the whole crowd, went WOOOOO real loud, and clapped and cheered. When the performers said some of the last words, like "we'll be with you", the crowd shouted "we'll be with you!" back at them. Some of the crowd even had signs holding up saying "Dream on!" "Dream on!" "Dream on!". Oh crap, I can't hardly write this- it was just very touching, and something I'll never forget. Even during the performance I saw performers come up to some of the guests, make gestures at them to indicate "cheer up and smile" and clap with them, because some people were sad. A lot of friends and family members seemed to show up to provide support for the performers, and it looked like they were going to have a party afterward. Tapestry of Dreams performers, thank you very much. I don't know how to thank you more- you have really touched my life.
