Wicked wine down july 3rd?

Has anyone been able to book the Wicked wine down for July 3rd... I have been calling everyday starting at the 10 day mark... so first day anyone can book and have been calling everyday at 7am and it is still not open. Is this normal? When will disney let us book it? Anyone done July 3rd up here before and how was it?

Sometimes the lounge is closed to everyone except DVC members actually staying at BLT that night. I can’t remember whether July 3 has been one of those nights or not, but I would not be surprised if it was, due to the demand from people wanting to see those fireworks. Or there may be a special event different from Wicked Wine Down that night.

On the other hand, sometimes restaurants, tours, other special events, etc. don’t open for reservations until after the 60 day mark! So, good luck getting to book what you want!

I read somewhere that Wicked Wind Down opens at 60 days on a rotating basis. Not the 60+10 like the rest of stuff to book. Was July 2 open?
I was also hoping to book, but I’m not holding my breath. I was online at exactly 12am to book the MK fireworks cruise and wasn’t able to get it.

Hopefully we will both get lucky and I’ll see you there. We booked dinner at California grill that night just in case we don’t get it.

Were you able to get spice road for July 4? ( saw your post on the dining board). We aren’t doing the park this trip so when I was up at midnight I tried the Epcot fireworks cruise first and then MK and got 2 hours of sleep that night for nothing.

July 3 has the 4th of July fireworks show, so I don't think Wicked Wind Down will be offered that day.

So what would they offer instead? But yes that is why I want to be up there on July 3rd to watch the 4th of july fireworks and will basically pay a decent amount to be up there... what ever they call it.

Not sure about July 3 but last year on the 4th we were staying at BLT and I think (maybe?) they had some dessert party, which we did not go to - we were in the park. We saw the fireworks from the regular viewing area on the terrace outside the BLT lounge on some other occasion, but I think for 4th of July and New Year's you have to stay at the resort to go up there.

We were also there for New Year's staying at a different resort and could not go up to the BLT terrace to view it then because they had signs all over that you had to stay specifically at BLT to go up. But we did see the New Year's fireworks from the bridge leading to the Contemporary and, tbh, you get about 90% of the view you have from the top of BLT, especially if you care mostly about the fireworks and don't mind some foliage partially blocking some buildings. All the extra 10-story height buys you is a better view of space mountain and Tron buildings. And that viewing area is free...

Don't get me wrong - the Wicked Wind Down is not a bad deal for what you get for the money. Maybe less so for those under 21, but it's still decent. We'd be happy to repeat that and in fact have one scheduled next month. But if it's to see the 4th of July fireworks from outside the park, save your money for a nice dinner at Narcoossee's or something like that and then take to the monorail or walk to the Contemporary/BLT bridge to see the fireworks. Or time a dinner at Narcoossee's around the time of the fireworks and watch it from there (al so a great place to watch from)!

My son is a picky eater (so place like Narcoossee's are a no go) and hates crowds that why we are trying for wicked wine down.. my mom is old as she says and wants a place to sit... so bridge a no go.

And yep I know about the July 4th issue of only hotel guest which is totally fair and thats is why we are trying for July 3rd.

We have a reservation already at the MK dessert fireworks party where we sit on July 3rd. So we have a back up. I just wish Disney would come out say what is going on with July 3rd instead of me having to call everyday at 7am I also do like the cheeper price of wicked wine down soo much better than the Mk dessert party.

I called this afternoon. I was told that there is the Enchantment at the Top Dessert Party on 4th of July because it is a Friday night. It opened for reservations at 60 + 10 days. So of course it was full.

Just realized I did not ask about July 3, so I'm not sure what is on that day, though I believe she said Enchantment is on Friday nights and Wicked Wind Down is every night except Friday?

I ended up signing up for Wicked Wind Down on July 5, just so we can check it out. The dream is Wicked Wind Down next 4th of July when we bring our family so this was good practice.

Incorrect I have been calling on those days.... I had 60 + 10 days and it has been blocked.... it has always looked like it has been full...

So still do not have this reservations even though I have been calling almost everyday right when it opens up Only a couple of days have I missed...
