Mom and Dad and 2 Picky Kids do the DDP ~ With Lots of Pictures!

It's funny too because I review the "IS this you" picture thread on the Theme Parks Community board- looking just to see if we are in the background of any photos- low and behold there are people we know.

I'll check my pics and see if you're in them:rotfl:

Oh my gosh, I have to look at that thread now. My family was in a very conspicuous (I don't know how to spell that word!) spot one day (which nobody here knows about yet...).

We love Chef Mickey's but I am also trying to talk DS7 out of it for next time. It's just hard to not go there when Minnie always spends a little extra time with him when he always tells her that she is his favorite character! So sweet. :cloud9: So who knows, we may end up back there!

Hi Shelly, Loving your report. Don't forget Minnie is also at the Beach Club for breakfast, so you could mix it up and Minnie's biggest fan would definitely get some good face time with her! We did all our character breakfasts around 10:00 this time, and we got a TON of time with characters. At the Beach Club, we spent about 6 different visits with Minnie and she even colored on the table with my daughter.

You had way better specials on your CM dinner than we did on Sunday 1/25. I would have loved your menu instead.

Shelly, how long did you stay at the 1900? Did you feel like you were rushed at anytime?

Thanks!

Yeah, we did the Cape May breakfast last year. The food was good, but Minnie just wasn't as friendly and seemed rushed. :confused3 Plus our waitress was terrible! :sad2: But I think we must have just hit it on a bad day because most people like it. We will have to try it again sometime!

Hi - was wondering if you have any thoughts on doing the Char breakfasts at certain times working out better. Either right at opening, or right before the closing of the breakfast time?

Hmm. . . That's a tough one. We have always had great character breakfasts right at opening - Crystal Palace twice and Ohana once. We had a not so great experience at Cape May mid-morning maybe 9:30ish. A good experience at the old character breakfast they had at Restaurantosauros going mid-morning. Then this time we had a good, but slow, experience at Tusker House going around 10:00.

Great report Shelly!

Thanks NC! :goodvibes

Your boys are little cuties! I love the picture of your son dancing with one of the sisters! Priceless!

And oh! I wanted to tell you! We were going to be staying at a value on our trip in May, but after hearing how much you and so many others loved CBR, I upgraded. They only had Pirate rooms left, but I snagged it right up!

I was thinking of 1900 Park for a dinner. My DD who will be 4 when we travel is very afraid of furry characters and only likes princesses/face characters. I had to scramble big time last year to change all my adr's during free dining. I also have a DS 6 when we go again who does not like princess meals. I am trying to find something they could both like. I was a little worried she might be scared of the stepmother or sisters? Are they "mean"? Now watch - my other DD (who will be 2 when we go in Sept will be afraid of face characters). We are also going to be staying at CBR for our one and only time (next time we would be 5) so I am looking forward to reading that report.

Haaaay! Me and Fred are here!!! :bitelip:

Well, since your name is so close to mine, I just have to read this!! :thumbsup2 Great reviews so far!!

DisMomAmy-- I  someone with autism too!!!

We really like 1900 Park Fare...we were there Sunday Jan 18. The Strawberry soup was to die for. I would go back again just for that and for the white chocolate slipper I ordered from the Grand Floridian Bakery.

The only thing I didn't like was the Fairy Godmother was there instead of the Stepmother.

Thanks! :goodvibes Next we are headed to Toy Story Pizza Planet!

I didn't think the step-mother and step-sisters were mean. They kind of approach your table looking at you kind of weird like and I think they see how the kids react and go from there. It might be the perfect fit for your family for a character meal. Good luck!

I hope my CBR review tells you all you need to know about the resort. Feel free to ask any questions. And have a great time! pixiedust:
