Lightning Lane multi pass flexibility with DAS

We have DAS for our trip but it doesn't cover all members of our party, meaning 1 person would be on their own for much of the day. I want to buy LLMP so that they can ride with the rest of the family. I know I can buy 7 days in advance and pre-book 3 attractions. My question is, as we are not able to 'book' DAS until we are in the park, how flexible are the CMs with return times?
