Mom...am I supposed to have shoes on?? - August 2013 ***FINISHED 5/5***

Hahahaha.... Poor Bob - he had no idea what he was getting into with us - totally blindsided... :rolleyes1

D~

He's a good sport. with an adorable little girl.

You understand our shenanigans right??

the boat has defiantly set sail...:boat: Where is Suzi??? we need an update

Amended post. I missed the report on the shoes sly me. How funny but even funnier if he got to the park!!!! It is so nice to see the two of you having so much fun together. Hope you have a great week
Jane

Thanks Jane. We had a great time. Already trying to fit a little Mother/Son trip in somewhere in 2014. Not sure if it is going to happen or not though.

Hmmmm....Florida as in Disney or Florida as in your parents; a cruise--where to?, girls trip -- with D and Mo again? and otehrs). The suspense is killing me.

Florida as in my parent's house in Cape Coral. They are leaving this Thursday for the winter. I hate it that they spend so much time down there...they miss so much of Bradey growing up and he is their only grandchild. It is sad to me, we are a very close family.

And the cruise...not sure yet. Hubby doesn't like Disney, and I know he loves to cruise, so I was thinking about skipping Disney this year and taking a cruise for our one big vacation. Not a Disney cruise...way too expensive for me. Probably Norwegian out of Boston to Bermuda in the summer. That way we don't have to fly and add the cost of airfare.

And the girls trip....yeah, we are still trying to figure that one out. I'm sure you will hear about it when we get there.

All caught up! Poor Brady no shoes!

LOL. Yeah, it wasn't one of my proud mommy moments. But no harm done...he figured it out before we left the building at least.

Happy Anniversary Suzi and Bill!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks D!

Happy Anniversary Bill and Suzi...hope you have a wonderful time.

Thank you Kathy. We had a great time...had to cut it short because of weather and grumpy boys, but it was still fun.

Hey Suzi, Happy Anniversary. I hope you enjoyed your day in Bar Harbor & Acadia.

Thanks Liz. It was fun. We had planned on staying the whole weekend, but decided to drive home late Saturday night since it was clouding up.

Oh my gosh I love the pic of you with the popped out lenses too funny! Also this year was my 11th anniversary too!

Oooh, what month was your anniversary?? Happy 11th to you too!

Dubbing in. Sounds like a great trip! Hope to catch up soon!

Welcome! I've seen you around....maybe Kathy's TRs??? Glad to have you along. Don't worry about catching up...I'm pretty slow moving here. You should have plenty of time.

Happy Anniversary Suzie and Bill

Don't mean to Hijack the Hijackers - but I found these pic of Midori when she was little and had to share them. Hope you guys don't mind

Thanks Bob. And those pics of Midori are just gorgeous! She was a very cute baby who has turned into a beautiful young lady. You should be very proud.

Happy Anniversary!!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend away.

I am cracking up with the hijacking that was going on!!
Funny about Bradey's shoes. Good thing he said something.

Thank you. We had a great weekend.

And yes....always hijacking going on. No problem....my fault for not keeping up with it while I was on my "break". Keeps it interesting ;)

This is an awesome shot of the castle. Very pretty.

So, I'm not totally caught up on your TR but I am enjoying it very much.

Bradley is adorable and I especially enjoyed his pictures with the princesses.

He is also very brave to ride EE. I can see where that might have been a little bit scary.

Sorry you got stuck in the middle row on Safari, but kudos to Sarah for getting a picture of the lions (something I am never able to do).

I agree that they should have some salads pre made without the chicken. That's silly.

Your room at the Poly is beautiful.

Wow you did catch up fast! Yeah, the lions are hardly ever out. It was neat to see them so active.

I hope you had a wonderful Anniversary Suzi. we LOVE YOU!

Thanks Mo. Love you too!

You know I think I Hijacked Suzie's TR thread last year also by posting a pic... OOPPSS !!! Sorry Suzie.

No worries Bob...pictures that cute are always welcome!

I sure hope so!!! I look pretty good at the beach I bet she is going to suprise us with a trip for Christmas! She's sneaky like that.

She won the 400 million and is going to surprise us all to a girl's/ cruise/ Disney trip all in one!!!
Whos with us???
Have to set sail off the island of main ya know.. I hear the entertainment is bob Marley

Yes!!! I am soooooo in! I wonder when she is planning to tell us?
Can't wait to hear Bob live, on the island of Maine, it will be spectacular

Yay, Kathy is in too... You all better speak up now if u want in on this trip. Space is limited and seats are filling fast!

Yes! Kathy is IN!!!
I forsee trouble.
By the end of this day we will have the boat filled.. there went the 400 mil she won..
I hear bob Marley is a funny guy! Who knew?!?!
Did you know he shot the sheriff but did not shoot the deputy?!?
I hope the food is good..

You forsee trouble because I am in?
I think with me being the eldest of this group that it will be I supervising the three of you.

We may need a second boat... Hmmm...

I don't envy you at all. Hahaha

That just PROVED trouble!!!!
Your now the event manager...
I solemnly swear I am up to no good...
Darn that harry potter not Disney..

OMG - ya have to much time on your hands...:-)
I am on my way to pick up Midori from school. Have a great weekend.

I don't either...you three need to be reigned in.
I've never had a title before...well, not one that is printable here on the DIS.

Baaaa ha ha
I just read the other posts and can't quote it all off my phone!!!
2nd boat!!
Kathy?!?! The resposibility she will hold is to ensure we all have an beverage slushie at ALL TIMES!!!

Now that I can handle.

Professional hijackers at your service Bob!!!
Suzi left D in charge this weekend...

Ummm~ my spot for the cruise leaving from the island of Maine is already reserved, right? I KNOW you ladies didn't double book my seat for someone else!!! Bob Marley is great as long as there is some Beach Boys thrown in...

You were on the VIP list!!! There are a couple more we are waiting for..
Let the S.S. dory set sail!!
Allllllllll aaaaaboreeeeeddddd in the best whale voice..
We speak whale here on the isle of main...

Hang on....don't set sail yet! I got my ticket...I'm coming too! Sounds like a blast! Thanks Suzi for winning the 400 mil and treating us all to an awesome trip!

Me, me, pick me. Can I come too? I'll sit in the back.
Really wouldn't want to miss out of the fun but I think my tummy would hurt from all the giggling that is sure to ensue when you girls all get together

I know, for a fact, I am not one of the three...
Oh - we can give you a title...
Hahahaha... Next time, she sould maybe leave Bob in charge?
We need to start a group - Professional Hijackers Anonymous <---- Is that how you spell that? It looks wrong.
Oh yah Ooopsi is here!!! WHOOT - we've been holding your spot for you!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I just spit everywhere... S.S>Dory!!!!!!!!!! Bahahahahaha!!!!!
WHOOT! LEt's fill this boat!!!! WAHOO!!!!
There's a reason we don't travel with out Tums... and paper bags...

You guy's are so much FUN !!!!!

Does this mean I am not in charge anymore?
Or does this mean, as long as Bob doesn't find out, we can continue on?
Or, it could mean... Bob started it in the first place?
Ultimately - I am pretty sure it means, Bob can join in the fun and get in trouble with Suzi too?
For sure Jane!!!
Yes... We may have heard that before. So... Wanna hijack Suzi's TR with us?

D, who is Bob?

Isn't "RHMH" Bob??? Or did I get my real names confused again?

I meant it like "we will just ignore Bob." (No offense Bob).

Ahhh got it! Sometimes I am a bit slow on the learnin' curve.
D~ <---- So, just WHO is Bob anyways?

OMG !!!! :lmao: What about Bob???
I am just sitting here on the sidelines enjoying the TR ride.

What do you mean? Hijack the hijackers? YOU are the hijacker.
Awesome photos~ Midori is just adorable!!! I remember when my girls were that small too... Time just goes too fast.

OMG! Bob she looks like a little puppet! SO ADORABLE!!!!
Hijackers? Bob nickname is now JACK... He started it... Just like always

back to your normal hijinks or hiJackers. HiBobers?!?

Hahahaha.... Poor Bob - he had no idea what he was getting into with us - totally blindsided...

He's a good sport. with an adorable little girl.
You understand our shenanigans right??
the boat has defiantly set sail...:boat: Where is Suzi??? we need an update

:sad2: Yeah...not sure what to say about this :sad2:

Love you guys! Thanks for keeping my TR going while I was gone :mic:

So....I have to get supper going, then maybe I can squeeze out an update tonight.

Okay, tomato bisque is simmering on the stove, I think I have time for a quick update.

So when we last left you, we had just helped Agent P save the world...or at least Mexico...from the evil Dr. D and now we are moving on around the world.

We toured around Norway

And rode Maelstrom. Bradey really liked this ride this year. He was a little afraid of it last year.

Then we continued on to China

We had a lot of fun here. I had never really taken much time in China for some reason. The shop is great and I got to see the stone soldiers for the first time.

We wanted to wait for Mulan, but her next time was about 20 mins away. So we left the building.

And these little hats looked fun.

Sara loved the theme in this pavillion....she took a few pictures while Bradey and I played with the puppets

By this time we were getting a little hungry again. I didn't have any lunch plans this day, so I discussed what was around with Sara and Bradey and we all decided to walk down to Beach Club and hopefully get into Beaches n Cream.

A few pictures from our walk

And as we approached France, we saw this little lady with hardly any line :confused3

He asked where the Beast was and she told him she doesn't like to bring him out on hot days like this because he sometimes jumps in the lagoon to cool off then he smells like wet dog the rest of the day. He thought that was hilarious and talked about it a lot the rest of the walk.

I thought she was a strange looking Belle...looks more like Jasmine, don't ya think?? But she was very nice and it was a great meet. One of her handlers loved my bag and even wrote down D's information. Not sure if she ever found her, but it was a fun interaction anyway.

Sara just loves Belle, so she had to jump in for a shot

After our M&G with Miss Belle we were super hungry, so we walked a little faster down to Beach Club. Some day I would like to stay there. It is just so beautiful. I just can't get over having no food court for breakfasts. That is a major problem for me. Anyway....here we are

And the gorgeous lobby

We put our name in and were told it would be about a half hour wait. We found a little table in the shade and waited for our buzzer. It was hot, but we enjoyed sitting and resting our feet while we looked out over Storm Along Bay. Before we knew it, our buzzer was going off.

It as pretty busy, but we lucked out and got a booth

We all ordered ice cream for lunch since it was so hot out. And these things are definitely a meal in themselves.

Bradey got an orange sherbert Mickey sundae

It was cute, and he liked it okay, but ours were WAY better!

Sara got the No Way Jose in all it's PB & Fudge glory

And I got whatever the oreo one was called. Yum!

Sara's up close

Up next....DTD

With our bellies full of Beaches 'n Cream goodness, we walked over to the Yacht Club to catch a bus to DTD. It seemed to take forever for any bus to come, but we were relaxing and it was fairly cool at the bus stop. We saw some poor valet driver or shuttle driver?? He had the most ridiculous outfit on. He looked like Donald Duck...poor guy. Sara tried to get a picture of him without being too obvious

And we waited

At least it was a pretty resort. And we waited....

Finally the first bus came into view and luck of luck...it was for DTD! Now this bus had to still stop at BC then BW, so it took a while, but we were there for the ride and Sara got to see a little of Boardwalk on our way by.

We arrived at DTD to do some shopping.

Just love this photo spot....so did Sara apparently...these are her pics

I wanted to get Bradey some Mr Potato Head parts, but I was very unimpressed with their selection. They seemed to be out of everything. No Mickey balloons, no Mickey ears, no ice cream bars. But we managed to get a few things at Once Upon a Toy

And Bradey had fun

Then we headed over to World of Disney and got lost in there

Or is this still Once Upon a Toy???

Love this shot of him behind Duffy

And a quick stop at

But we were too full still to even contemplate any goodies here.

We walked around a bit more, but it started to rain hard, so we decided to call it a day there. We ran over to the bus stop and waited forever for the shared deluxe bus to come. It was crowded and seemed to take FOREVER on the way back. We stopped at WL, and Contemporary before the Poly again. Poor GF always had to wait til the last.

Coming up.... a super magical night!

OMG!!! I need Beaches n' Cream right this moment - I am S.T.A.R.V.I.N.G!!!!

I love that little photo spot - I have never seen it. I'll have to look next time.

And that photo of Bradey with Duffy is adorable! I love it!

Oooh - a super magical night... Can't wait to hear!

D~

Belle certainly does look off. But then I have found all of the princesses "look off" to me lately.

Okay, I am just sitting here drooling and so want one of those oreo sundaes right now! I'm so glad you were able to get in.

Love the pictures from DTD. Yes the Duffy is still at Once Upon a Story. Cute photos at the Pooh photo op.

Favorite picture so far is the China one with you guys and the hats!!!!

FAVORITE!

OH BANANAS! those sundaes look SCRUM-DILLY-OUCIOUS!

YUM!!

Yeah, I am so glad we got to try Beaches N Cream. I have been wanting to every time and we just never made it. It was fantastic!

The Pooh photo op in DTD is pretty close to the PIN trading store....pretty sure. Kind of across from Earl of Sandwich.

Belle certainly does look off. But then I have found all of the princesses "look off" to me lately.

Yeah, I agree about the princesses. Our Cinderella was pretty good and Rapunzel. But the others....it just seems that Disney doesn't really care anymore how closely they resemble the real thing. But they are still fun.

I was thinking of you all day today, when I finally got out of work to check FB...I was happy to hear it went well

Favorite picture so far is the China one with you guys and the hats!!!!

FAVORITE!

OH BANANAS! those sundaes look SCRUM-DILLY-OUCIOUS!

YUM!!

Yeah, we had fun in China. Just the whole trip was fun. I think Sara liked Disney more than Dani...and it made it more fun for me.

The sundaes were amazing. Have you ever been to B&C??? Gotta try it if you haven't!

Very cute pics! :goodvibes

Thank you :thumbsup2

wow those sundaes look AMAZING!! Can't wait to try one in LESS THAN THREE WEEKS!! :cheer2:

I hate hearing stories about the buses being slow! We had such great bus service in 2010 when we stayed at CSR, and it was pretty good last year at OKW. I wonder if it really is dependent on the resort? Like the resorts that have other modes of transportation available just have poor bus service? Maybe in an effort to get people to use the monorail/boat/walkways? :confused3

Love the pics from DTD! I love to go there and just wander around aimlessly! Too bad it started to rain! :sad1: Can't wait to hear about your magical night though! pixiedust:

Beaches n Cream looks DELICIOUS!! The picture of Bradey with Duffy is cute. Shame the buses were so slow. Love taking in the shops at DTD.

Funny, when you posted those pictures I didn't really feel Belle but your princess casting is closer. Belle must have stayed up late the night before reading so she didn't look like herself that day. ;) Love that picture of Bradey chatting with Belle. :lovestruc

Yeah, we had fun in China. Just the whole trip was fun. I think Sara liked Disney more than Dani...and it made it more fun for me.
Love all your pictures from World Showcase. That hat one is really cute. I'm glad Sara really got into the Disney spirit. It makes the vacation so much more fun when others can see the Pixie Dust.

The sundaes were amazing. Have you ever been to B&C??? Gotta try it if you haven't!
You guys sure manage to get a ton of stuff done in a day. :thumbsup2 Of course you weren't asking me but I will respond anyway.....we got to go to B&C once when we were visiting Orlando for my DHs work. I had to squeeze in a bit of Disney and it was a nice treat since it is hard for us to get away from the parks when we are doing the full-on Disney vacation. We had the Kitchen Sink and I'm pretty sure we ate all the ice cream and most of the toppings (I need a PIG smiley). My DS is allergic to nuts so they brought us out all the nut-free topping on separate plates and filled the "sink" with the ice cream and whipped cream. Of course I could eat ice cream all day everyday. ::yes::

There's more??? And its magical???? Looking forward to your next post. popcorn::

:cool1: Beaches & Cream, we have got to visit next time. We wanted to try the Kitchen Sink but ran out of time. Went swimming at their shared pool but we were stuffed and could not eat one more bite. :sad2:

Belle does look like Jasmine, maybe Belle called in sick that day and Jasmine had to do double work. Belle over here and then Jasmine over there.:rotfl2: Jasmine over here and then Belle over there :lmao:

I think the biggest thing is the shared buses. I honestly don't see why Disney can't have one bus for each resort. Especially the deluxes! You pay and arm and a leg to stay there...the least they can do it give you your own bus! It just takes so long to do anything by bus staying at the Poly. I had heard that it might be a little better if you walk over to the TTC to catch the AK and HS bus, but it was to hot to walk that extra. It wasn't horrible. I had longer waits last year with Dani staying at POFQ, so it was tolerable. Thank goodness my child isn't a pain when waiting. That would make it so much worse.

Love the pics from DTD! I love to go there and just wander around aimlessly! Too bad it started to rain! :sad1: Can't wait to hear about your magical night though! pixiedust:

I love DTD too. Sadly, I never get to take much time down there. Bradey isn't really into shopping. Dani and I spent a little more time there last year, but I would like to have a whole afternoon to myself the next trip.

Beaches n Cream looks DELICIOUS!! The picture of Bradey with Duffy is cute. Shame the buses were so slow. Love taking in the shops at DTD.

It was a great afternoon.

Funny, when you posted those pictures I didn't really feel Belle but your princess casting is closer. Belle must have stayed up late the night before reading so she didn't look like herself that day. ;) Love that picture of Bradey chatting with Belle.

Hahaha...I thought the same thing. I told Sara that Belle must've called out sick and Jasmine had to fill in :rotfl2:

Love all your pictures from World Showcase. That hat one is really cute. I'm glad Sara really got into the Disney spirit. It makes the vacation so much more fun when others can see the Pixie Dust.

She really did love it. She has her casting audition next weekend! I am so nervous for her! But very excited too.

You guys sure manage to get a ton of stuff done in a day. :thumbsup2 Of course you weren't asking me but I will respond anyway.....we got to go to B&C once when we were visiting Orlando for my DHs work. Oh see...I could do the kitchen sink if they brought all the toppings separately. I just don't like everything all mixed together like that.

There's more??? And its magical???? Looking forward to your next post. popcorn::

Oh yes...we had a great night with a special DISmeet, the Electric Parade and a once in a lifetime experience that happened at Disney! Coming right up...

Beaches & Cream, we have got to visit next time. We wanted to try the Kitchen Sink but ran out of time. Went swimming at their shared pool but we were stuffed and could not eat one more bite.

Belle does look like Jasmine, maybe Belle called in sick that day and Jasmine had to do double work. Belle over here and then Jasmine over there. Jasmine over here and then Belle over there

I really think she did call in sick. I just can't imagine they looked at this girl and said "hmmm...she would make a great Belle..." But like I said, she was very nice and we still had a great meet with her.

Okay, so we did a little bit of World Showcase, met Belle/Jasmine, had amazing icecream for lunch and shopped at DTD. We made it back to the Poly and Bradey and I hopped in the quiet pool for a quick dip, then went to the room to shower and change for the evening festivities. I had to get a shot of the new hallway carpet to show Mo.
It is beautiful now, but no more hidden Mickeys.

After we changed, we headed over to the GCH to Captain Cooks for dinner.

Bradey had the grilled cheese....boring, but good.

I had my beloved Aloha Pork sandwich...yum

And Sara had the vegetarian noodle bowl. She loved it. And I gotta say...wow that was a big bowl for the price. A great deal!

We spent some time and hung out in the Great Ceremonial House

We were waiting for a special DISmeet. I was so nervous....felt like I was meeting a celebrity. Well, I was really...They were finishing up dinner at O'Hana and she had just texted me that they were coming down. Sara and Bradey were being so patient with me.

Sara was keeping Bradey entertained by letting him take some pictures

And making faces for her

Then I saw them.....they were so darn cute! Kathy and Mark (KatMark here on the boards and if you don't know them....shame on you...go find her TRs right this minute!)

Here we are...Mark didn't want to get in the picture. But I thought we had one of him??? No?

Both of them were just wonderful people. I really enjoyed meeting you both Kathy and Mark!

They brought a little gift for Bradey. He got coloring books, stickers and goodies. Well of course he just loved them. We chatted for a while, but sadly we had plans for the evening, so we had to say goodbye. We might meet up with them again later in the week...but it was definitely a highlight of our trip.

After this celebrity meeting...we ran back to the room to leave our mugs off and head over to the Magic Kingdom. This is what I love so much about the Poly...or really probably any monorail resort....just being able to hop on over to the MK in a matter of minutes. (unless you are D~ and get stuck on the monorail all the time) We went over there almost every night just for a bit.

Tonight we had a mission.

We got to the park just as people were starting to gather for the Main Street Electric Parade. We grabbed a great seat right in front of City Hall at the very beginning of the parade route.

To our right

To our left

While we waited I called our Gram (86 years old and she watches Bradey when he isn't in school) so Bradey and Sara could talk to her.

Again, they were patient waiters

Continued in next post...

This is going to be a lot of MSEP pics. I was so excited to see Bradey's reaction to this parade as it is one thing I remember from my childhood trips. It wasn't running last Feb when Bradey and the hubby were there, so this was his first time as well as Sara's.

Enjoy....

The Fairies start the parade off

And Miss Tink

Then the train with Goofy, Minnie and Mickey

The Turtles and Snails from Alice in Wonderland

They came really close. I had to pick up my feet because I thought the turtle was going to run over them...it was great!

Then Miss Alice herself

Oh, this was the guy that almost ran my feet over!

GUS GUS!

I have to tell you, last year Dani and I sat over in Frontierland because we were late getting there and we thought it would be less crowded over there. And it was...less crowded....but the experience of being right at the start was priceless. The characters were all so happy to see you and really interacted with people. Once they get way over to Frontierland, I think they are tired of smiling and just want it to end. This was awesome!

Here she comes, Bradey's girlfriend...

She waved right at him...he was so proud!

How many pictures can I have in one post??? Better make a new one...

Continuing on....

Peter Pan and Hook

Followed by Smee in his cute little rowboat

And the Mine Train...can't wait for this ride to open!

Snow White

And Pinocchio and his whole weirdness. Not a fan of this movie...or floats. Love Jiminy, not the rest.

Yeah, just weird

And classic MSEP.....

It was funny, his lights went out right after he turned the corner...he just kept talking and talking and he slapped the dragon like it was his fault and the lights came back on...too funny.

And for the grand finale....this always tears me up for some reason. I love the fireworks

Just makes me proud to be an American

And we were up and out immediately after.
We caught the tail end of the Water Parade as we walked up the monorail ramp.

We hurried back to the Poly to catch Wishes from the beach before hitting the pillows.

Okay, and now for our special moment.

BRADEY LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH....AT DISNEY!!! How cool is that??

This darned tooth had been loose for a month. Not kidding, a month! He was complaining about the gum around it being sore, so when we got back to the room and brushed our teeth, Sara hooked a fingernail under it and pop. Out it came.

Let's just say that the Disney tooth fairy is VERY generous! It was just such a magical place to have that happen and a memory we will treasure forever. He will always remember where he was when he lost his first tooth.

Yay for a DIS meet with Kathy and Mark, but what? the man with the many hats did NOT get in a picture???? I can't believe! :rotfl: Kathy looks so pretty in her pink lie.

Loved your parade pictures. I really enjoy that parade so its always fun to see great pictures. You really did get a great viewing spot.

Did the Disney tooth fairy come visit Bradley? ;)

I thought Mark jumped in one picture, but I guess not :(

They are a really fun couple and I am so glad I got to meet them!

And yes....the tooth fairy was very generous because she was so excited that he lost it in Disney :)

Suzi, what a great update.

Dinner at Captain Cooks looks yummy. Mark and I have to go there on one of our next trips...I always loved that place. :goodvibes

A celebrity? I think not; but that is very sweet of you to say. I am so happy that we were able to work it out and meet you, Sara and Bradey. I think Mark was too busy talking to Bradey to get into the picture. And I think since he isn't on the DIS, he feels he shouldn't be in the pictures.

I remember you saying you were going to hop over to MK to see the parade and I'm glad you did. We, unfortunately, missed it again. :(

And so glad that the tooth fairy was very generous to Bradey since he lost his first took at the happiest place on earth.
