Molluscum

Our doc says that any treatment will make them come back, just to let it be and they will eventually go away, which it did.
This. My DD had a few under her arm when she was 3 or 4. They did not bother her and eventually went away on their own, without any treatment, in about 6 months. My DS3 now has them on one side of his waist, almost exactly where the waist band to his pants sit. Again, he isn't bothered by them and our ped says they'll go away in their own time. He's not had them long, maybe a few months and I fully expect them to resolve by the end of the summer. No biggie.

I did see that. Right now we have the Zymaderm. Hopefully this works. If not I will ask about the Retin-A some have suggested and if the doc will not give me that bc of DS having eczema then I will try the Emuaid. I am willing to try anything. Thanks

My DD has eczema and we used retin-A with no problem.

My daughter had one on her wrist that became large, red, swollen. She ended up on a 10 day, 3X's a day antibiotic. We had to go back and have it checked halfway through the antibiotic b/c if the infection got into the blood stream, she would have ended up in the hospital. It is rare this happens but we get all of them treated immediately now so that doesn't happen again.

:confused3:confused3:confused3

My son had them when he was about 3, he is 5 now. Our ped. also said to do nothing. They went away after about 4 months. He had them all down the right side of his torso. He had a lot of them. They are totally gone and not a single scar. Now, his did not bother him in anyway. If they were itchy or painful I would have gone to a derm.

This is similar to PP statement about tea tree oil. THis product is amazing. I saw a difference within one day. http://www.naturopathix.com/home.html. I found it at Walgreens for $25.99. I highly recommend it so far. ;)

My 5 year old has had this on the back of her knee for awhile now. Her Pedi tried popping them and those did go away immediately but, it HURT.

My SIL's, both, said to try this and we are on day three....fingers crossed. I got it in one day on Amazon prime for 23.00.

My son had one on arm that spread to his legs. We used zymaderm, which our ped recommended and also told us to "scratch " it with gloves of course and it would pop and go away.. We did that and it worked very quickly. It did hurt him but as soon as it popped we out a bandaid in it and the rest were gone within a few days.. We kept doing the zymaderm until they were gone

My DS has had it twice. His ped treated them with something he called bug juice. The treatment formed a blister and when it healed they were gone. This was about 6 years ago and he has not had any more.

How long did it take for the blisters to go away?

DS had it in 3rd grade on his stomach and lower arms. Derm doc froze the really large red ones on his arms and it made it worse and uncomfortable. I tried tea tree oil after reading up on it but it did not work. Went to a different derm doc and got the Retin A. He initially was hesitant about giving us the prescription as DS had eczema but he said to apply with a q-tip sparingly just on the pustules not any surrounding skin. It still took a while to go away completely. All told it was almost 16 months. DS is now in 6th grade and it hasn't returned.

Wow, 16 months. I am so glad it has not returned.

My nephew got them at age 3 and they lasted about two years. We had no idea they would last that long if untreated! His pediatrician said not to do anything and they would go away on their own. After about a year he went to a dermatologist for a second opinion and they froze some of the bigger ones off. My sis wasn't careful at bathtime and his older brother (age 7) also got them, but his were much bigger and he said they hurt so he went to the derm and had them frozen off. In hindsight, when those first few appeared on my first nephew, we should've had them frozen off to prevent further spread. If the over the counter remedies mentioned here don't work, I highly recommend having them frozen off because they can last a long time.

DD had them when she was 4. Someone told me that if you put duct tape on them that it would cause them to come to a head like a pimple quicker. I was afraid the duct tape would irritate her skin so I tried the skin colored tape like you use to attach bandages with. After testing on one, we found that it worked for hers. It took about 3 or 4 months per bump of keeping them taped constantly, but they went away. Keeping them covered also helped keep them from spreading I think.
