MODS: Please LOCK/CLOSE this thread as Fridge is Lost

Arrived at the Movies on 8/25/07 and the fridge was missing.

I checked every day and even got management involved but our fridge was never found.

It was accounted for thru August 19 and should have been picked up by Eeyore's Tailfinder on the 19th and swapped to me on the 26th. Waiting to hear back from Eeyore's Tailfinder to see if she was able to locate and use it.

Murphy's law that the person that started the swap would be the one who didn't get to use it!! Very frustrating.

Oh eeyoregon,
I can't believe that. I hope that it turns up. I wonder if it is possible someone did not get one at another resort and this one was sent as a replacement.

But, all the work for all, and not to have it yourself, is not fair.
It would be nice to have other things too. Walmart has a large blue 90 quart cooler on wheels and handle for only $24.99, Umbrollers, a pack and play, coffee pot, a willing place to store them.....

I just feel sick about you not having it.

It's funny how something so small can put such a damper on your trip!! These things always happen to me...eeyore's cloud just won't go away!

UPDATE: Haley aka Eeyore's Tailfinder used the fridge August 19-26. On August 26, she put my information on a new sticker on the top of the box. She called the Bell desk and asked for assistance in getting the box from her room to the bell desk as it was too heavy. She told them she was leaving the box for a guest that was arriving that evening. She waited 20+ minutes in the room and no one came. She placed a $5 tip on top of the box and left the room #3858 Mighty Ducks. When she came back at 1:00pm the box/tip were gone. Alos, inisde of the fridge was note thanking me for the use of the fridge and she also placed a load of lime green Mickey heads inside in case we wanted to tape them to the box.

Upcoming Users: PLEASE KEEP CHECKING! Mousekeepings fridges are black and our's is white. The box was clearly marked with Regina Muhs 8/26/07 and also says EEYORE all over the box.

Now I'm not accusung anyone or anything but we were one of the first groups to use the fridge and the day we got to our room at the movies and opened our door, the lovely maid was laying out on our bed watching the spanish weather channel!!!!!! Weird

Update - 9/3/07 - Lost Fridge Found!!
Yay!!! Fajaragirl has found the lost fridge!

The cleaning lady at ASMo told Fajaragirl that she knew where the fridge was, and brought it to her room. She is defrosting it tonight, and carefully labeling the box for hjohnson6, next on our list, who will be at AS Music.

We don't know if the CMs are going to move the fridge for us, or if hjohnson6 will need to pick it up at ASMovies. When Joey last talked to the old manager at ASMo, it sounded like they had no problem moving the fridges between resorts for us. We'll have to see.

By the way, Fajaragirl left large index cards, sharpie pens, and masking tape with the fridge. Please make sure you label the box 5 times (top and all 4 sides) with Resort, Date of Arrival, Reservation Number, and Name.

Fajaragirl said she would e-mail all of us when she gets back.

Thank you to "HappyPooh" who found our fridge today. It magically appeared in the bell luggage storage room today ?? I think someone else was using our fridge but I still blame Disney as they were the ones who retrieved it from the room and it was clearly marked with the next persons information and they were verbally told as well.

Just glad to have found it. EEYOREGON'S swap is back in action...trying to let go of the fact that I didn't even get to use my own fridge

is there anyway of putting some sort of sticker on it with maybe your user name on the fridge itself, so that when someone else get its who is not supposed to can see and possibly call the friont desk, i just learned that ther fridges at the ASMo are all black i believe? if it was my first time there and i was completely ignorant and knew nothing DIS i would asume its the frideg i was paying for.

We still have October 8-17 and 24-29 available to use the free fridge!

November 24-30 is also open.

December 15 thru January 6 is open too!!

I hate to do this but I need to step-down as fridge swap coordinater. Our swap has not been running smoothly since the end of August and it is really stressing me out!!!

The fridge has gone missing multiple times even though we had continuous swappers. I can only imagine what will happen when we get to the 9 day gap in October?!

Housekeeping threw out the fridge box and stick-on labels last week and can't find a replacement box.

Another problem seems to be when folks sign up for partial dates. Example: Swapper "A" needs it from the 1st thru the 10th but swapper "B" is already signed up for the 8th thru the 14th. Instead of swapping it on the 8th as agreed, swapper "A" is keeping it the entire length of their stay, thus shorting swapper "B" who signed up first and in this case was a paying/founding member of the swap.

WOULD ANYONE LIKE TO TAKE OVER OUR TROUBLED SWAP??
