Modification Bug

So.....

We decided to add a 2 night trip in a couple of weeks. We had a reservation at BLT at the end of July that we didn't want to give up unless we could get a couple of nights in a DVC room so we were modifying the trip that was 5+ months out.

Well, OKW popped up so we modified the BLT to OKW and the 118 point difference ended up in holding. This should not have happened. Currently on with MS trying to get the points out of holding.

There is also another modification bug I've discovered (I suspect this is all related to the newer looking interface).....

If you've added a reservation to the MDE and you modify on DVC then the lead guest is unlinked in MDE.

Also, on new reservations and modifications if you have a space in the city name it says you have an illegal character.....you have to do it as one word and then it auto corrects it when you book.

Don't they test before rolling out?

I'm wondering if they're trying to fix the washing-holding-points bug/feature. From what I've read, if you have points in holding, and modify an existing reservation in the 31-60 day window, it will pick up your holding points even if your reservation was made more than 60 days ago. I've never tried it myself.

But that is a huge bug if you modify a reservation and free up points 5+ months out, and those freed up points go into holding.

It is a shame that MS has to clean up the mess left behind by these developers who don't adequately test their code. It'll never happen, but it would be fitting if the MS CM cleaning up the mess got a slice of the paycheck of the developer who released this bug.
