We've stayed at WL, SS, POR, POP and ASMusic. We are looking for a moderate that has lots of stuff for our DD10 to do, nice pool and resort activities. My husband wasn't thrilled about POR last year but it might have something to do with just getting off the Dream for 5 nights! I'd request a close room to the main building of any resort (knowing it's not guaranteed). Waiting on a bus for 40 minutes isn't how we'd like to spend our vacation, but we're only doing the parks a few days. Any advice is appreciated!

The moderates have added a preferred category which is closest to the main building, with the exception of POFQ, since everything is close to the main building.

POR is my personal favorite, but I guess you won't be going there.

CBR is nice, but has the most elongated layout, therefore not as many buildings will be close to the main building.

CSR can be nice, because it is a convention resort, it has a lot less people in the activities area during the afternoons since they are in their respective activities. It does have a wonderful pool area.

POFQ is nice because of its small size. Just a couple minutes walk to everything, but I don't think any of the moderates offer more for your daughter than POR.

I would pick CSR. The pool is terrific and the slide is a lot of fun - I'm sure your daughter would love it (my boys sure do!). I think the pool at POFQ is a bit small and when we visited, my kids thought the slide looked "babyish."

CSR has a more adult feel to it, the rooms are nicer, there's a fitness center if you like that kind of thing. There is a sand volleyball court your daughter might like.

We've stayed there several times and our kids love CSR. We've never had an issue with convention-goers. The beds are super comfortable and feel more upscale than some of the other resorts.

I agree with the PP, give CSR a try. Since you didn't like POR, you probably won't like POFQ. If being close to the main building is important to you, then definitely pay extra for a preferred room. Especially if you think room location is going to really effect your stay.

Another option at CSR is the Business Class level, which gives you a room in Building 9B, the closest Cabana building to El Centro, plus access to the business club lounge where they have pastries, juice, bagels, etc, in the mornings, and snacks and drinks (including alcohol) in the evenings.
