We are going to WDW for free dining August 15-20. We want to stay at a moderate and have stayed at POFQ and wouldn't mind trying a new resort. We are having the concern of the bus situation at CSR and POR. We are worried that because of the multiple stops, the buses will fill up if we are at a later bus stop. If we did stay somewhere other than POFQ, then would you reccomend CSR or POR? What one has the better bus situation? Thank you in advance for all your help!

You can ask for a specific area near the first bus stop. I know CSR's Casitas are near bus stop #2 which is the first stop to the parks and the first stop on the way back. That's what we've requested anyway.

All of them have mulitple stops. Even FQ which only has one stop itself, will frequently to almost always go over to POR which has four stops. CBR has seven I think.

I have stayed at them all. And had fine bussing at all of them. I have to say, CSR seems to have the least crowded busses though since some of their guests are there for conventions and are not doing the parks as much if at all.

I never advise picking or not picking any resort based on transportation. All of them are close to something and while some are walking distance or monorail distance to a park, that doesn't mean they are perfect or that you won't have some transportation issues that are generally almost always no big deal!

We just stayed at POR for ten nights over Easter Week and had no problems with bussing. It was a crowded time but we did fine.

Pick the moderate that has the theming that appeals to you. We have stayed at both POR and CSR and I can tell you they are both wonderful. I'd stay at either one over a deluxe any day!

This is precisely what I was going to recommend. We just got back on Sunday from a FAB stay at CSR. We stayed in Cabanas 8b, bus stop #4, and never had a full bus. However, you are going during a peak time obviously so it will be quite a bit busier. I would request Casitas, bus stop #2.(It's also close to El Centro.) It is the first to be picked up, as well as the first to be dropped off. I cannot say enough about this resort. I have stayed at all of the moderates and CSR is by far my favorite!:lovestruc Have fun.:goodvibes

Both CSR and POR have good buses. At either resort you can make a
request for a location close to a bus stop.

I would go with the resort that has the theming you prefer and the amenities you would most like.

Happy planning! :goodvibes

I have only stayed at one moderate and it was CB and it was fantastic! It was this past November...we stayed in one of the new pirate rooms and loved it...our building was in Trinidad South and we were building number #35 right next to the bus stop! I requested the building number and worked out great!!! Loved it!

We never rode the bus at CSR when we stayed there last year, but I did take the time to notice that the people waiting at the bus stop never waited very long at all; the lines were short, and the buses never looked full. We usually left (in our own car) for the parks each morning to make rope drop, but we came back at mid-day a few times and the bus situation always seemed about the same, which I would say was pretty good. We were in the Ranchos section near the back of the resort property, if that matters.

As far as CSR overall, I would definitely recommend it. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are more like deluxe rooms, the pool(s) are great, and the food was very good at Pepper Market. Meals there are expensive, but that doesn't much matter if you are on a meal plan. We wanted to try POFQ this year so we would have another point of reference, but I will certainly stay at CSR again for one of our WDW trips.

I posted on your other thread, but the bus service at CSR is great. Our last stay was last May and we frequently got on at the last stop. We always had a seat. The bus to the parks stops first at Casitas, then ranchos, then cabanas, then the main building. You can request casitas or ranchos if you want to have an early stop. We were in cabanas but usually got on the bus at El Centro.
