Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering

I plan on using the app to order food and drinks ahead of time. How far in advance do you recommend that I place these orders?

Really depends on how busy the park is and if we have solid park plans but most days we try to place our order about 2-3 hours before we plan to eat so we can secure a pick up window. If we know which park we will be in the whole day, then I usually order our lunch when we walk in the park at opening so I have a set time. And what's nice is if your plans change, you can then change your pick up times accordingly, if there are windows open. I think the most important thing is to realize that at 11:30am, you may not get a 12pm mobile pick up time and next available could be 3pm. Especially now since virtually everyone in the park is using mobile ordering. But if you eat meals at off times, then it may be a moot point.

Agree. If the park is busy and you want to eat around noon, get the order in early as the times do fill up.
We always put our order in about 9:30 while we were waiting in a line.
If you don't care what time you eat, this isn't as important.

I agree that it depends on how full the parks are and what time of day. I will also add that some restaurants have longer come-back times regardless of those other issues. For example, Woody's Lunch Box usually has a pretty long return time.

If you open the + in the circle at the bottom of the MDE app and choose mobile order, it will show the times for every open place that takes mobile orders. In our experience 90% of the time you can order within a 1/2 hour. The only times we have had to potentially wait longer is 1) pre-park opening breakfast at the resorts b) mid-day lunch rush in the parks [12-1ish] and 3) after park close at the resorts. As always YMMV.
