I have to book my frequent flyer mileage by Next Friday and I am still hoping to get the schedule for the MNSSHP. We have reservations from Wed 9/27 to Tues 10/03. What are the chances that there will be one Friday & Sunday? Our preference is Sunday 10/1. when did they release the dates last year?

According to the park hours for MK in Sept., MNSSHP is listed for 9/29. Oct. hours are not out yet, but I would think there'd be one on 10/1.

Don't remember when they released dates last year - maybe the end of April??

Your chances are pretty good that you'll hit a party. We went to the Oct 2 party last year.

They released the dates/tickets April 30, but 'tentative' dates were circulating on the DIS and other Disney boards by mid-April.

I can almost guarantee you that MNSSHP will happen on Sunday 10/1. Sunday nights are a favorite of ours and it seems that in year's past that during the course of the holiday season the party is held on every Sunday night. Also, the party always starts in late September so they can have the party run for the entire month of October.

Just as an FYI...last year was the first time there was a party in Sept. In 2004 the first party was Oct 1, in 2003 it was Oct 3, in 2002 the first party wasn't until Oct 11, and in 2001 the first party was on Oct 18, so as you can see, each year they have added more parties, earlier in the month!

Another FYI...in 2002, because November 1 was a Friday, they actually held a party on November 1!

They are not held every single Sunday in October, if you look at historical dates the party was held previous years. They traditionally are held Sun, Tues, Thurs and Fri, but not all of them during the month of October. For example there was no party on Sunday, October 9 last year.
