2027 Member Cruise

I’m excited about this one because of the extra time in San Francisco. I’ve long wanted to visit the Disney Family Museum there, and I expect that they’ll have something very special for the Member Cruise. DH and I cruise for the sightseeing shore excursions, not for swimming or lying on beaches, and I’d just as soon have the weather be cool instead of hot!
In connection with the DVC MC we did on the west coast in 2019, they had an ABD that included the Disney Family Museum when we docked in San Francisco. That ABD also had activities in DL before we got on the cruise.

Price will probably be more than you would think. 2025’s MC was 5 nights on the Dream out of Ft Lauderdale. We had a Family oceanview with veranda and it was $6400.

Anyone who is excited for this cruise, don't read this post. I'm making myself feel better by pointing out all the things that make this cruise a no go for me.
I really wanted to go on the next member cruise. But the itinerary just doesnt excite me and if it doesnt excite me no chance it will excite my husband. 2 days in SF is just alot of time imo. If I wanted to go to SF Id just go I wouldnt need to cruise there. But it seems they will offer good excursions. But that also racks up the cost too.
As soon as I saw it sailing out of my home port, I was all in. Then, I read the date and the itinerary and the reasons not to go all started piling on.

I'll be taking similiar cruises from San Diego to Catalina and Ensenada, 2 places that I actually never need to see again TBH.

My last few visits to San Franscico have grossed me out to the extreme. I have so many fond memories of going there on the regular throughout my life and I hate that my overall opinion is as bad as it is, but I get no enjoyment in seeing people strung out passed out on the dirty, pee smelling streets. I do know where to go to still have a good time, but I always see strung out passed out people coming and going. We went to an expensive restaurant and had to park around the block, which was completely sketchy and I was worried about my car the whole time.

Okay, yeah, I do feel a lot better about not going on it now. :smokin:

Thanks, Bobbi, I just want to be prepared for sticker shock! The reports I’ve read about MCs, though, make me feel they’re worth the extra cost.

Following along..
I have been wanting to go on a MC since joining DVC in 2020

This might be the one..

Not super excited about the Wonder, the weather and that it will be right before rundisney weekend…

I guess will depend on the points chart/price

Will see :)

I'm on the 2026 member cruise this August out of Southampton - I like that itinerary and the Broadway style entertainment is a real incentive for my wife. Might have to book this one for 2027 as well.

I've been wanting to do another member cruise since our first one back in 2019. However, we are booked on the westbound PC cruise later that month and I'm really really looking forward to it so I'll have to skip the member cruise again...roll on the 2028 cruise 😂

Realistically, I’ll most likely be waiting for the 2028 one as well!

Questions for those who have booked a DVC Member cruise in the past: how hard was it to book when the phone lines opened. Would it be worth it to have my husband call from his cell while I called from mine (co-owners same membership)?

It's just the two of us so we'd even be fine with an inside standard if available. I'm assuming the less expensive cabins go quickly for these cruises.

I did the one on the Wish. Didn’t have much wait calling in when lines opened. They set up a system to intake calls for the cruise that morning.

Have some options categories you are good with. Look at deck plans. Can choose an exact cabin. Can pick dining time. Once info is entered, the call back to lock in payments was pretty quick as well.

Looked at the rates for the 2026 cruise to get a rough idea of what to expect and :gulp:

What's the typical rate spread for adding additional guests to the stateroom? Is it like a typical DCL cruise where minors/additional guests are significantly discounted from the first two guests, or is it a smaller spread or same price because of all the extras?

Thanks! This would be our 21st DCL cruise and have an idea of where we would like to be depending on the ship.

Extra guests price will be on the chart that will be released prior to February 28. Listed by age category (2 and under, 3-12 & 13 and up). Amount will be less for those guests.

We did 2025 and are doing 2026, but my husband is meh on this one AND as someone else pointed out, we get back the day before the Springtime Surprise weekend - we're perfect Springtime Surprisers, and that just feels too close.... BUT looking forward to hearing how it all goes!

I have been on a previous west coast member cruise, and I would be interested in this one, EXCEPT, we are on the WB Panama Canal cruise that leaves Galveston in April 2027! Having said that, I am not ruling it out! :boat:
We would be home in NJ for a week after the DVCMC before we head out to TX to visit family before the WBPC.

Decisions!
YES!! Come! Haven't seen you in awhile!!!

We're going to do this as our first member cruise! Being on the west coast makes this convenient and we were already considering a pacific coast cruise.
Same for us. At least we are strongly considering it. Very convenient coming from Northern Nevada.

Is this book able with a deposit or is it full payment at booking please does anyone know?
It's paid in full at the time of booking. If you click the link in the first post and then keep reading and opening everything, you eventually find it buried in there when it mentions the types of credit cards accepted.
