MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

Since we are staying at Pop on the FD. I was thinking of adding a 3rd MNSSHP to our stay. We have tickets for the 27th and the 31st already. We are thinking the 27th we will do the fireworks, parade, dance parties and trick or treating. They 31st we will just do the rides as I know it will be more croweded that night. I'm looking at the 29th as a possible.

Of course it's up to you but I would spend the money on something different. Maybe a night at La Nouba or the balloon ride which is much cheaper. I did rides, dance parties and trick or treating all in one night. I really think (only my opinion) that in those 2 nights you will get everything done and be ready to move on. Have fun no matter what you decide. The party is fantastic.

I have clicked on all the 'map' links and they are all just brochure info links. Is there an actual MAP of the candy spots to TorT at??:confused3

When you click on the link and get the brochure you will see arrows at the top of the page. Click on the arrow that points to the right. You will get more info. Click on the right arrow again and you will get the map. :thumbsup2

We went last night and had a blast! Lots of candy (TONS of Snickers!!! :woohoo:) and great character interactions. We walked up about five minutes before the second parade and had front row seats. We, of course, didn't see everything, so we've decided to go again tomorrow. Never thought we'd be those people. ;)

Well, off to Epcot after a late morning.

For those of you who've been during mid-Oct what was the weather like at night? I know none of us have a crystal ball but planning on what to put in the suitcase on this trip has been a challenge.

Hi! We went last night and had a BALL! Crowds were easy and manageable, ride waits were minimal we found and there was plenty room to see the parades and villians show. Everyone was friendly!
Me (Cheshire Cat), DS (biologist) and DD (bee). MIL was MIL!
We arrived and ate with an ADR at the Plaza at 5:15pm. We rode Haunted Mansion with 5 minute wait, we finished and rode walk on at Winnie the Pooh, the Tea Cups (2 minute wait) and we then went straight to Alices Mad hatter Tea Party Line. Took a picture with Alice (waited in line at 6:55pm and saw her at 7:05pm). She was signing autographs but we just took pics. Then went through all the candy stations there (3?). Arrived just in time for the tomorrowland dance party with Goofy, Stitch and Pluto (FUN!) :dance3: Then we went to another line for candy, and saw Buzz Lightyear. Then we took a seat for the first villians show and stayed seated for the parade (with a quick taking turns at bathroom and attack of the candy). Watched the amazing parade and then went over to Adventureland where we met Baloo, Rafiki and Tarzan and got more candy. Went through the jungle cruise candy line, the pirates candy line and stayed on the bridge at Frontierland for AMAZING full 360 view of fireworks and could see the castle. Will stand there from now on to see those fireworks! Then there was another candy line! Then another at Liberty Square, then back around to Fantasyland where we did the next dance party with Minnie and Mickey. Saw Winnie the Pooh and Tigger (5 min wait) and two more candy lines before my kids wanted to ride Small World (walk on) where we saw: The Haunted Mansion Folks from here and I yelled OMG Its the folks from the DISboards!! And they likely thought I was nuts...cough, cough!
Walked onto Speedway before slowly heading out of the park at 11:30pm (DD was fast asleep by then). Wonderful time will CERTAINLY do it again next year!
P.S. Hope the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts didn't think this Cheshire Cat was being too crazy - I kept saying Hi!
Oh we got a great selection of candy there was an equal amount for us of chocolate, hard and soft candy, lollipops etc. Something for everyone :goodvibes

Yes - Mrs Tremaine and her daughters were giving out treats at Belle's storytelling grotto. Great photo ops.

Yes, we saw the seven dwarfs and snow white, but the line was long and we did see them in the parade (I know not the same thing but DD loves Ariel so that was taken care of the day before and was just as happy waving at them during the parade ;) ) iI did not notice Jessie but she may have been around?!:confused3

thank you. anyone see jessie this year? i read she and woody were there last year, but i haven't seen any reports on them so far this year.

I AM SO EXCITED TO BE AT MNSSHP ON OCT. 2, I CAN HARDLY STAND IT! It has been so much fun to follow this thread from the start - thank you most dearly to everyone who has posted.

I am not sure if I will have time to tap into the posts tomorrow since I need to be in bed early (up at 4 AM on Fri. for flight - it will be a crazy long day with MNNSHP at the end, but we'll be fine).

Anyway, you'll all be with me, and I'll be with you! I look forward to posting here to let everyone know how it went for us.

I hope DH gets the internet connection option at AKL so I can post from our hotel room . . . I cancelled water parks and more to save $100 to cover the internet costs, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will still be in our budget to pay for internet at AKL.

So, I hope to check in tomorrow, but in case I am not able: LOVE, HUGS AND THANK YOU FOR STARTING THIS THREAD AND TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE POSTED HERE! You have given us so much excellent info.

Remember, if you are there on Oct. 2, and you see two people in their 50's wearing t-shirts that celebrate a not-so-scary 32 wedding anniversary (with dancing skeletons), be sure to say hi!

BOO, everyone! Luv ya.

That map has where the ToT spots are. The 'goofy' marks are where the ToT are.

When you click on the link and get the brochure you will see arrows at the top of the page. Click on the arrow that points to the right. You will get more info. Click on the right arrow again and you will get the map. :thumbsup2
Thank you both. NOW I see the arrows! :rotfl:

I am getting so excited! We leave tomorrow and we are going to the party on Tuesday night. I hope since we are going during the week that the crowds will be lite. This will be our first MNSSHP even though we have been to Disney numerous times.
