MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

Monmouth Mall, in Eatontown NJ has them too... As did the Outlets in Jackson. The 2nd time I went they didnt, but said they would get more.

Hope this helps!

we must live very close to each other. I got mine at the Monmouth Mall on Saturday

For those in the Boston area, just an FYI - the Disney Store in the South Shore Plaza has the $2.50 Halloween bags out now. There were quite a few, and they're still there - my all-too-practical daughter wouldn't let me buy them! :lmao:

Well I helped someone on Ebay make a small profit. I got two for $5.50 each with shipping $3 and some change. BUT - - - I am about 75 miles from my nearest Disney store. I still got a pretty good deal - gas would have cost much more than the extra I paid for someone to be my personal shopper !

So when the heck are they going to post the schedule and ride list, etc. for this? I thought they'd have it up by now! :confused3

The first party isn't until September 4th...they usually don't leak the map or schedule until after that. (then there's always some nice DISer that goes to the first party and posts it for the rest of us!)

I love those Disney bags! I use my Wall-E one constantly. Sometimes I get compliments at Trader Joes when they notice my bags have Wall-E on them. A checker actually was asking me about Toy Story 3 and so on.

I have a cloth, over the shoulder Mickey bag that I was thinking about using but I may go seek out these Halloween bags.

Would I need one or more of those, do you think? Strictly speaking for candy carrying!

They sell the Disney Halloween bags at the Resorts. They are all over the place at Disney when you get there.
Believe me, the bags don't sell out.

We got some of the leftover ones after Halloween for a buck a piece.
but, no need to run around trying to get them before your trip or worry about packing space taking them.

They're different bags (and much cheaper). They'd need them before Halloween, so no luck with the clearance.

I cant wait til they get there

Thank you to everyone for the awesome information on here! This is our first MNSSHP and we are really looking forward to it. Quick question - we are not wanting to dress up too much, but are thinking of wearing funny hats or headbands w/ something on it. Anyone have any suggestions or places that you've bought something like this? I'd consider making my own . . .even though I'm not very crafty! :lmao:

We had custom t-shirts made -- there are a lot of web sites where you can custom design your own. They ran about $25 each, with A LOT of wording ON THE FRONT AS WELL AS THE BACK, and graphics.

I am sure this might have already been posted in this thread, so kindly forgive my not searching through every post . . . for trick-or-treating, someone can use ANY bag, yes? It doesn't have to be Disney?

Yes, you can use any bag you want to. :)

We want to hear updates on everything as soon as you come back!!!!

I'd also like to see the new map if anyone would be so kind as to post that when they return also.

I'll second that. We aren't going until 10/31, but I am a total planner and am hoping to have a rough touring plan for the night (esp. since I'm anticipating it will be very crowded).

got halloween bags today at the Pineville (CarolinaPlaceMall) DS today...$2.50 and when I left they had a few left...hurry if you need to buy them there!:thumbsup2

I am planning on MNSSHP on 9/11 the night prior to our cruise.
I am a disney lover. My fiance just went, compliments of me, for the 1st time in April. It was not the best time to take him...crowded. That is all he focuses on when we talk of going back. Generally, I go in the off-times...when there are minimal to no waits for rides, so for me I knew that usually we wont be fighting crowds as we will return in September/October of 2010 for another week long trip.
However, I wanted to squeeze in the party before our cruise.
So...would it be a mistake to take him to the party? Do you think it will be very crowded and that will then be his perception of September trips to Disney? I plan to go at 4pm or so. He will probably want to do a lot of rides while I take the little ones to see characters. Then we will meet up for parades, shows, etc.
I just dont want to be fighting wall-to-wall people again, like over spring break, and discourage him from our trip next September.
