*** Bay Lake Tower Owners Group***

Do they have any that aren’t theme park view?
Oh yes! I forgot the exact count but yes, some GV are theme park view and others Lake. I was planning to go the lower point route with Lake, but someone kept walking their reservation on a daily basis always blocking that one day I needed. It's a celebration for my daughter graduating from university. I eventually said enough of this and borrowed some points to book the theme park view.

I told her we were booking the 2BR, but we have enough family/friends coming to use the 3BR. Will be a nice graduation surprise.

So I prepaid my dues and this morning I somehow owe another 104 dollars or 16 cents per point. It says actual 2025 tax adjustment. This brings dues up to like 8.90 a point. Did this happen to anyone else.

Every resort has a tax adjustment. It is the difference between what they projected last year and what was actually paid. As I recall, DVC News reported that other than VGF and RIV, every resort would have an additional amount due because the tax bill was larger than they projected last year.

And, when you buy resale, you get the full year responsibility regardless of whether that was a credit or an additional amount due. When you buy direct, they prorate the tax adjustment.

Ohhhhh yes I bought 450 direct in 2024 and 170 resale in 2025. Thank you! However I'm being charged this for all points not just my resale?

Yes that’s how it works. Both contracts were active during the 2025 calendar year, so they’ll need a tax adjustment for 2026 dues. If you had gotten direct in 2025, the tax adjustment should be prorated, but that’s not your case.

Hello BLT lovers! Have a question about y’all’s awesome resort! It will be our first time staying there this summer with some close family friends, we are doing a split stay and will be at BLT for extended evening hours on Wednesday. I am guessing the walk back to BLT is amazing? Any weird things we should be aware of?

Also open to any recommendations or suggestions, we will be in a 2bdr if that matters

Definitely make the walk, not the monorail, and look for Wilbur outside the window on the 12th floor. ;)

In a couple weeks we will be staying at BLT for the first time. Our plan was to consider adding on there to take advantage of the MK access, after experiencing it first-hand. Our plans changed after the introduction of the new $500 fee on resales. FOMO set in and we submitted an offer on BLT to ROFR on 12/30/25 & received their waiver on 1/15. So it’s possible we will close on this before we actually stay there, so we’re buying “sight unseen”😱. I told the DW that I equate it to PT Barnum risking his career on Jenny Lind, simply based on her reputation - so when we received the ROFR approval I turned to her and said :
“We now own at BLT: God I hope she can sing”!😍

We also bought BLT before seeing it in person. At the time we owned at BWV and wanted to be able to walk to MK like we do HS and Epcot. Pictures seemed nice enough so took the plunge. This was pre-refurb. We were kinda disappointed the first time we stayed. The lobby was underwhelming which was understandable since the main action is at the Contemporary. The hallways were very understated. We were pretty disappointed at first.

This quickly changed. We had a 2 bedroom since we had my DD and here family in tow. There are 3 bathrooms. What a godsend. There was a ton of room! It was an easy walk to the contemporary for QS. The walk to MK was super chill. The grandkids loved the pool since it was not huge and overwhelming. They also loved the Contemporary pool.

We Absolutely Loved it. Our next trip was post refurb in a theme park view room. What a difference. Seeing the fireworks from the living room, priceless. Gotta say it is now one of our favorite places to stay. It is an oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Easy walk to MK. Monorail, QS, and other eateries are very close by. What's not to love?

Hope you have a great trip! And this resort can sing!

Thanks for sharing. And yes, she can sing!

Same. Sight unseen.
I’m not a big fan of the tower style in general, and I’m going to get a theme park view in a couple weeks, so that may make it feel more worthy, but for the most part I will likely use my BLT points to trade into others at 7 months. Anyway… my SAP+ points.

Trading into a 1bdrm at OKW for 5-7 nights at the end of the year, and maybe trying stuff like CCV, VGF &/or Poly down the road. (CCV is most likely my next add on purchase)
