MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

We are going to MNSSHP for the first time on the 22nd October.

Do we need to bring our own bags to collect the candy or are the provided?

I am so EXCITED! Our hard tickets for the party just came in the mail today.

We will be there October 27.

Yes, it requires a separate ticket. It occurs after the park officially closes for the day.

When you enter for the party, they will put a wristband on you. Those not atteding will be kicked out.

Could someone give me a suggested intinerary for the night???? We have a 5pm ADR at CP but we will try to get in earlier. We plan to arrive at 4pm and will either go straight to CP or look around Main St for about 30 minutes.

I know that for sure we would like some pics with the Dwarfs. We also will want to see the fireworks and the late parade. This will be our only time at MK so rides are needed as well.

figure 1 1/2 hours for dinner to get in all the characters
find out where snow white and the dwarves will be--after dinner go and start waiting in line for those pictures.

I am hoping for us== rides are secondary as there are all those shows, characters, fireworks, parades that we wont see on a regular visit.
(the villian show is a must.)

We are hoping for rides between 4:00 - 6:30

Okay, your plan should be to ride from the time you get there until the fireworks. Then see the villians show. Then see the second parade. After that, you can get your pictures and candy. If you're not doing candy, that is more time for rides.

Oh I am so excited I just got 2 Halloween bags from the Disney store...and now they are not free, they cost 2.50....But they are so pretty!!

My tickets also got here today by mail......I am going to the very first halloween party!! Cant wait!

Did you have to go to the actual store to get those or can you get them online? We don't have a Disney Store around here!

The bags that are free are the ones given out at the actual MNSSHP. The bags in the Disney Store were always (as in this year) $2.50.

We plan on riding a fair amount of rides that night...so for people who get candy and go on the rides, do you just put your candy bag in the bag holder on the ride? Just wondering....I think that for BTMR the candy might come out of the bag? That's one that we'd like to ride at night (for those who haven't, it's quite a different experience when it's dark.)

Also, I have a question about entry....so when you enter the park after 4:00, you take your ticket to the regular entry area and then??? Do you put it into the machine and then they slap a wristband on you or what? Just curious & wondering how long the entry process will take.
