Hi Everyone!

Looks like MNSSHP will begin on Sept 1, which is a Tuesday. Its also the last day of my trip before we travel home!

We are planning on going.

Just looking for advice on the day. Here are the options.

1. Enjoy the resort (beach club) all morning, Head to MK around 3p. Plan a Monorail resort or MK early dinner for 4 pm.

What time does the party end???

2. Head to another park for the morning, then head to MK around 3 p, with same dinner plans

3. Head to MK at rope drop, return to resort around 1p, then return to MK , with plan for early dinner at 4 in MK.

I also need suggestions for Dinner place.

Also, are we able to ride all rides during the party, I am assuming there is no FP. Anyone know what time the parade is?

TIA!!!! Annbug

OMG what makes this beautiful day so? We were so hoping to go for the first time ever!! I had not heard anything about this.

I thought that they still hadn't announced the dates yet. If you have a link though, please share!! Last year it was on the 1st but the 1st was also Labor Day. I just extended the end of my trip to the day after Labor Day just in case Labor Day is the first day again and not earlier. I also really wanna do the party. I was considering doing an early dinner (5pm) at BOG. Party guests can go to MK starting at 4pm, so that's three hours for dining before the party starts. I did that with MVMCP. Also, there's no fast pass, but the party doesn't need it! All the rides had really short lines! Anyway, if you have the dates link, def pass along! I am dying to know before I have to book ADRs!

It worked VERY well last year for us to eat at Capt Cooks at the Poly around 3 and then be at the MK turnstiles at 4. We stay the full 8 hours (4-12), so we absolutely do not do a park that morning. Or the next day. We need to recover. We don't eat in the park. It wastes time.

Party hours are 7:00 - Midnight.

Most of the attractions are open during the party, but there are a few that are not. Here's a link to last year's party map that shows what was open. No FPs during the party, but most ride lines were pretty short.

The Boo to You parade was at 8:15 and 10:30; Hallowishes fireworks at 9:30.

Any of your plans would work. We've done all the combinations you are considering: another park during the day, MK all day, an early dinner at a different park, at a resort, in the MK - it really depends on what works for you.

The party dates haven't been announced yet, but the September hours have been posted and it shows the MK closing at 7:00 on Sept 1 so that is where the first party speculation comes from. Sept 11 and 12 are the Nights of Joy, but any other night when the MK is closing at 7:00 is probably a MNSSHP night:

Looks like there might also be a party on 9/4? Totally throws a bit of a wrench into our touring plans for MK, but we loved MNSSHP! I will have to work on convincing DH to end our trip with MNSSHP perhaps? We did AM then break the back for BBB (DD) & PL (DS) right before guests started to come in. If we do it this year, I would probably just chill in the AM at the resort (Poly) and then hit the park at 4. Probably wouldn't do as much Trick or Treating, and we missed the Villian's Dance Party so that would be a must. If DD & DS can make it I would also do the 2nd parade. Oh, so excited, but now the decisions!

We were so excited when we heard this could be the case! We are also going home on September 2nd!
We are going to do your option #3- we are at Disney 15 nights (2 nights Beach Club then 13 nights POFQ) so we have lots of park / non park days planned. But ... with an early close due to the party, we are thinking it might be a really good day to get in lots of rides standby at MK. We are thinking MK from 9:00am - noon, then resort, then back around 4:00pm to use FP+ from using morning ticket and then supper (quick service) before the party starts. We will hopefully stay until midnight. Now I've got something else to obsess over ... costumes!

When will tickets go on sale? I am taking dd on a surprise quick trip to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour (she turns 16 this summer) and would love to add this on. I was planning on coming home 9/2.

Probably early May

If we are at the Magic Kingdom on the morning of a party, can we show our party tickets and get bracelets in the morning? We are going to our resort for an afternoon break and it would be nice to get bracelets on our way out of the park so we don't have to line up when we come back to the party.

I believe they were giving out the bracelets around 4pm when guests can enter the park for the party. I know we didn't have our bracelets when we got there first thing in the morning, but I can't say for certain since DH and I were at MK the entire day and only went near the entrance to change into costumes around 4pm or so. I hope someone else can help shed some light on this! We plan on doing MK all day again on the day we do MNSSHP. Unfortunately it will be a Friday, but hopefully it won't be too bad! :goodvibes

They will hand them out after 4pm. We grabbed ours at about 5pm if I remember right (2013). We picked them up near the castle, the old swan boat pavillion. Is that still there with the HUB construction?

Can I get a link as to where these 2015 September hours posted?

Thanks! Never mind I googled and got them

Oh boy I hope Sept 1st is right! I was hoping our trip would catch a party. We had so much fun two years ago... we dressed the twins as Lilo and Stitch, but this year I think we will need a whole family costume. I bet the first party sells out early

I researched last years hours, then I read the new September hours for 2015 on an Unofficial site. Sorry, I don't know how to post the link. It shows MK closing hour to be 7 pm. So I am only guessing/hoping that the first party will be Tuesday Sept. 1.

If it isn't, I wont be devastated, but want to plan for my ADR!!! The official hours probably won't be released for sale until early May. Again thats only based on what Ive seen historically.

Ive never been to this party so I was excited to think I may be able to attend.

We did the 1st party on Labor Day last year and it wasn't crowded at all!! Just started discussing another late Aug/early Sept. trip so hoping to catch it again if it is indeed on the 1st and 4th :goodvibes
The one thing to keep in mind when planning your costumes for early Sept. is the heat - quite different than if you attend a party in mid or late Oct. We've done parties in Oct. and it was a little warm, but last years party on 9/1 was sweltering lol! You still are in that summer humidity, so you probably don't want a costume that's very heavy or warm.

A few years ago a similar thing happened with park hours and we were hopeful that the park was closing early because of MNSSHP but it was for something else - I think it was Night of Joy, but not 100% sure. We were going to try to rearrange our travel plans to attend MNSSHP and were so glad we didn't.

thanks for the heads up! Whats night of joy?

Night of Joy is a contemporary Christian music festival and the dates have already been announced for September 11th and 12th 2015. So, hopefully, that means that the early closing of MK on 9/1 may be for MNSSHP.
