Do all of the rides stay open during MNSSHP? DH and I are thinking of going but this would be the only day we do MK. We would love to do a lot of the rides, we aren't really interested in the Meet and Greets, mostly just the parade, fireworks, and costumes.

Thanks!

No. Jungle cruise doesn't normally run nor do the shows (tiki, hop, country bears, cop. Laugh floor closes early but usually a little later). Most of the others still run.

Every one of those has been open during MNSSHP when we've attended.

Here are some other past years' maps:

If past is prologue, Monster's Laugh Floor will close early (10pm) and the following attractions will be closed for the party -

Jungle Cruise
Country Bears
Tom Saywer Island
Liberty Square Riverboat
Hall of Presidents
Carousel of Progress
Tiki Room
Railroad

Of course, while the official party start is not until 7pm, you can enter the park for the party at 4pm, so you could enjoy those attractions before they close.

This is terrific news and very helpful! Now I just really hope I can talk DH into it! Would you say it is worth the money?

Depends on what you mean by "worth the money" and what you want to do/see while at the party. I love MNSSHP and go whenever I'm in WDW while it's being offered. The parade and fireworks are worth the price of the party to me. There are also special character meet and greets and dance parties, plus the Villains Mix 'n Mingle Forecourt Show and trick-or-treating for guests of all ages. There is a lot to do and see while at the party and I always have a good time.

If you just looking to do as many rides as possible...then I'm less sure it's worth the cost because it's only 5 hours long.

yes, they are open. love the Headless Horseman at the beginning of the parade!

I have a question about the Headless Horseman. I've heard conflicting reports about when he appears, anywhere from 2-15 min before the actual parade. Does anyone have a more accurate time frame or does it really vary that much? And I'm assuming he rides at the actual start time of the parade (e.g 8:15, 10:30) and not before then, correct? I'd be devastated if we missed him!

No, he steps onto the parade route before the start time of the parade. I think he heads out somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes before the parade starts, but he moves faster than the parade, so if you're waiting on Main Street, the time between his ride and the parade is longer. They make an announcement before he rides (it's a really short re-telling of the legend), so you know that means he's coming soon. So at that point have your camera ready (if you're taking pictures). He doesn't move all that fast, but he's not terribly slow either.

I'm glad I asked then! I wouldn't have guessed that. We aren't likely to camp out for a prime parade spot far in advance (YDS is not 2 yet and doesn't stay put!) so it's helpful to know we should be in place at least 15min beforehand then, right? I'm hoping we can make it to the 2nd less crowded parade and still manage a decent view.

Thanks for this info! Super helpful! :)
