MNSSHP questions

I am seriously considering attending MNSSHP this year. We have never been and i have some questions:

1. What are the odds the 9/22 date will sell out? Hubby wants to wait to see what the weather will be like before we commit for 5 tickets but I want to go ahead and buy tickets. Should I buy them now?

2. What attractions are NOT open during the party? I think the jungle cruise is closed. Are there any others that are closed?

3. Is it super crowded to watch the party fireworks if standing in front of castle? During regular wishes, we stand in fantasyland and see the back side of it to avoid crowds. I have 3 young children and cannot deal with pushy people. Is it necessary to see from in front of the castle?

Thank you for your help!

1b. Should I buy them now?

3b. Is it necessary to see from in front of the castle?

1a. Under 50%.
1b. Always a gamble.

2. Tom Sawyer Island, Ariel's Grotto, Tiki Room, Carousel of Progress, River Boat, Railroad, Hall of Presidents.

3a. Yes.
3b. Not if you say that you watch regular Wishes from behind the castle.
(But, I don't consider that a good place to see the show, as it is designed.)

HOWEVER, you will not be able to see "Celebrate the Magic" (castle projection show) from back there,
and many consider that to be even more spectacular than the fireworks.

Do they show "Celebrate the Magic" during MNSSHP?

Thanks!

I strongly suggest watching from the front of the castle. It's not nearly as crowded as Wishes, and that party is not a normal sell out. The only issue is that the parties start much later than in years past, so that could have an impact on crowds.

So looks like if I want to do any of those attractions that close, I will have to do them before 7:00. As for the projection show and fireworks location, we'll mostly likely play it by ear and see how crowds are that night. Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it.

Last year I noticed, with the exception of Oct 31, that nights that sold out did so about a week ahead of time.

Kenny The Pirate has a page about when the dates have sold out in the past to use as a rough guide
http://www.kennythepirate.com/2014/07/31/which-mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party-is-best/

Thanks for that link! It looks like we might be ok for that date, but you never know really. I am still aiming for buying it sooner rather than later.

That's true about the dates starting later, I had not thought about that. So it may be a little more crowded after all. I will probably wait to see how crowds are, if it's not too bad we'll head to the front of the castle.

Well, I did it, I booked the tickets. I just thought why not, right? We'll have a good time even if it rains. So thanks for your input, everyone.

Very nice.
Something to look forward to.

Have fun! :wizard:

One less thing to worry about! Enjoy. I could only attend the 10/31 or 11/1 party and when the 10/31 sold out so early I decided to go ahead an purchase my 11/1 tickets. I had also planned to wait a bit, but figured I'd be disappointed if it sold out, so I grabbed them!

So we'll both have fun (on different days)! I am so looking forward to this, keeping it a surprise for the kiddos. I'm keeping fingers crossed for no rain and low crowds!
