MNSSHP was quite fun on Halloween, the last year I went it was in beginning of October and I felt alone dressed up this year though it was great interactions with CM and other guests for the most part. I went as the Wicked Witch of the West and I got lots of comments about being seasick and what not it was hilarious. A lot of kids came up to me to talk cause they were curious and it was great fun to make the ones that were scared of the costume no longer afraid. I did have one parent get upset and tell me my costume was too scary so I simply pulled up the sleeve so her daughter could see it was makeup and then she was no longer scared and started asking how I did it all.
The first stop was the mad dash for my fp to A&E they were awesome to talk to and really were in character, I had heard some people say they weren't as good as in Norway, but the Anna they had made me think she was the dog from Up she was so distractable and the one as Elsa realized the irony in me getting a picture with her so that made that funny.
After that We had a ADR at Be Our Guest which I've never had dinner there and I liked it much better then at lunch. We ended up the same table we'd been at last year and the CM joked that that happens quite often. I like how the Beast went around and its great fun to see him have to turn sideways to get those shoulders thru a door. The Halloween special desert was delicious and I wish they had that year round.
After this we headed on to get a picture with the Crone and Gaston, the Crone wanted to swap her apple for my broomstick and its hilarious to watch her run off after random guys dressed as princes and try to take them back with her. Gaston was in character complaining that us witches made him lose Belle and was shunning more then flirting which was quite funny.
After we tried to take in the Boo to You Parade, but every time we got a good CM's would shoo us off to a new one, at one point they brought us to a spot in a roped in area and then the people there were holding the spot so we ended up having no where to go, this happened about 4 times and made it kind of impossible to see the parade.
The park was so busy that I would never have known they made some people leave, and I was never asked to see my party band. We ended up only going to Laugh in and on the People mover. When we attempted to get merchandise we were told the pins sold out over a month ago and they never got more, and the T-shirts I was able to pick up right off the floor not behind the register. I ended up actually getting more Christmas stuff then Halloween. I was surprised to find the Merchant of Venus closed since I'm quite a Stitch fan and wanted to shop there. While in Pin Traders a woman ran up demanding a photo I was in the checkout line so I looked at the CM there for approval cause I didn't want to go against the rules and she nodded.
Around 10pm since we had been unable to get a Soiree ticket we went to the counter to see if there were any last minute cancellations, and a very nice CM went above and beyond and had a cancelled table made up for us. The show was awesome every character interacted and we were seated next to a guest who stayed in character as Jack Sparrow the entire time, and who all the Villains recognized as being there before. The step sisters were talking to me about having Cinderella clean the castle, Maleficent commented on my great skin tone and said I should get involved with fairies and not witches, and Cruella complained about how people never let any of us get the puppies. At the end of the party as I was leaving a CM did a double take having just realized with the lights up the makeup I had on, so I told them I had too much of the poisoned punch.
Was not much more to do after this, lucked out and found a cauldron magic shot and the ice cream parlor near the construction signs was a perfect out of the way place to watch the fireworks. All in all great party and glad I tried this on Halloween.
