MNSSHP costumes-what are you wearing?

If I can find a wig I like, I'll be going as Ariel in her pink dinner dress.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooh!!! Did you make the costume??? Please share pictures!!!

I want to be Ariel or Giselle. I already have the hair I just need a costume.:goodvibes

my sis in law is going as Ariel and Brother is going as Darth Vader.

if you're looking for nice dresses, i suggest looking at a store called Debs.(if you have one) all of their prom dresses, which were 170 dollars are on sale for 25 dollars. Thats where my mum got her costume. I'm sure you could find similar deals elsewhere, though, if you don't have a Debs.

i am going as a wench or renaissance girl. Its a blue under dress with a brown and black over dress corseted style top. I'll probably just wear tennis shoes with it. Boots would just hurt too much.
Good luck. That's a lot of cloths... At least your feet will be comfy.

I'm dressing up as a fairy/princess/dreamy girl... Yeah you get the picture!
My costume is home made in the sense that I've put it together myself.

The dress was found on the net, it's actually made by a very expensive Danish designer, called Day et Mikkelsen, but I found it very cheap (what a scoop) I will be wearing something underneath the dress, it's a bit low-cut right now.
The leggins are from my every day wear.
The sandals are from Thailand.
The tiara and the glitter tattoo are from new years eve.
The magic wand I got on our latest trip to DLP. It's from Enchanted!
I really wanted to go as a princess in a big dress, but I heard so much about the hot evenings so I want for something light...

So here we go:

lol, we went last year on 9/14 too.
were you at MNSSHP last night? I saw several peter pan groups :)

My dd, 4 at the time, and I went last year on 9/14. I wore a hideously expensive and HEAVY Maleficent costume. DD was Jessie, in an equally expensive cowgirl costume. It POURED all night. Velvet is not comfortable when it is wet nor does it breathe. :lmao:

This year we are going lighter. There are 4 of us and we are Peter Pan themed. My bestest friend is going with us to help take care of my baby. BFF is going to be Peter Pan. I don't know what her costume looks like yet. She is making it herself and she lives in Alabama.
My dd 5 will be Tiger Lily (with a reworked Pochohontas costume and a little war paint), dd 1 is Tinkerbell, and I will be Wendy Darling. MUCH cooler and lighter, not to mention cheaper since I made the dress myself from a cheapo nightgown pattern. :cool1:

Can't wait!

Well i'm leaving for Disney tomorrow and will actually be at Disney on Monday. Going to the party on Tuesday the 16. If anyone else is going on that date, look for me. I'll be wearing a green and purple cloth stripped skirt ( I am wearing shorts underneath it) with a green striped tank top, wings, and a tiara. You'll most likely hear me as well because I have chimes hanging of my skirt. ;) Bye

DH and I will be at MNSSHP on 10/28. :yay: This is our first trip as "Empty Nesters" and we are celebrating our 27 Anniversary while we are there. :woohoo: I am hoping to be Mary Poppins and if I can talk DH into dressing up he will be Bert. Trick a Treating at 52, Life Is Good!:thumbsup2

My husband and I will be at the party on Tuesday. We are going to be Mousekateers.....we will look for you

We are going as characters from Kim Possible. My kids wanted us all to dress up. I'm not really thrilled about dressing up but they are so excited about it.

My daughter wanted to be Kim and me to be Shego - I said no way!!!! So, I am going to be Kim, DH Ron, DD Shego, DS5 Drakken, and DS1 will be Duff Killigan. For the little guy we debated between Duff and Monkey Fist. We all decided that Duff (who wears a kilt and hat) would be cute and I think pretty easy to make. I don't think anyone will know who he is though.

Shego is going to be pretty hard though. I can sew with a pattern, so we'll see how I do with making my own pattern!! For Kim and Ron we are just going to wear black t-shirts and green cargo pants. Drakken will be easy - I hope!!

I just finished making a mulan costume for me, still havent found anything for DH DD6, will be pink minnie mouse, 2 DS11,12 want to were a black cloak, scary type thing.

I'm less than two weeks out, going 09/26. Don't have a clue. Like the idea of just wearing t-shirts. Saw a couple I like, "Cheap Pirate Costume" and "Where is that dog with the keys?". But the one I really like may be inappropriate:

"I wanted to be a pirate but couldn't get my ship together". Would that be inappropriate? I'm sure just because I am wondering makes it that way, but thought I would ask.

We were thinking of buying Pirate hats at the store and wearing them with the t-shirts.

DH will be Woody, and I will be Jessie at the October 21st party. We've been working on these costumes for a year, and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I'm going as a renaissance tavern wench and my DH is going as a character from the renaissance era as well, though I don't know who! His costume is coming in pieces (ordered from various online sites.) I still have to have a crown of flowers made and find a drawstring pouch to carry my stuff in. I was going to carry a basket, but that would get old real fast! The photo below was right out of the box, I still have to iron out the wrinkles.

Your dress is beautiful!!!:thumbsup2 When are you going?

I went to the first two MNSSHP this year dressed as Handy Manny. I was the only person I saw dressed as this. I kept on having people say "Look there is Handy!" It was great. I had a modified hat that looked like his with a "pencil" on the side and of course the green shirt and toolbelt with some of the tools. I think the people that got the most kick out of it were the cast members though! I went to get a photo with Minnie with my son and the Photopass person and Minnie loved it. I kept on hearing good things. A lot of Handy fans out there. If anyone saw me, or anyone else dressed as Handy (I think I was the only one) let me know -- just curious. My son went as Peter Pan with an awesome costume made by my DW. DW had a great Tinkerbell costume on she made and Nanna went as Minnie Mouse. It was a blast! Loved it both nights.
