MNSSHP costumes-what are you wearing?

10/21 DH and I will be a t-bird and pink lady from Grease or thing one and thing two.

10/2 - DD and I are going as Mouseketeers. Got white mock turtleneck shirts and navy skorts from Lands End. I will put the names on the shirts. Ears will be waiting for us in our room in basket. Thinking white ankle socks and keds to finish it out.
Haha, you make my mouseketeer idea seem awful.

We are going 10/26 and there will be 11 of us and we are going Toy Story Themed:

Myself: Bo Peep
Husband: Woody
Son (6): Buzz Lightyear
Son (2): Weezy
Friend: Mr. Potato Head
Friend: Mrs. Potato Head
Friend: Hamm
Friend: LGM
Sister-in-law: Jessie
Brother-in-Law: Soldier
Mother-in-law: Slinky Dog

:cheer2:

I am going as alice. My Mom Is going As Ursula ( i made the costume myself). My grandmother is going to be the evil queen, my dad jack sparrow and my bro thinks it's lame to dress up. I personally think he is being the lame one!

I am Alice, my mom is Queen of Hearts, and my husband is Mad Hatter!

I picked these up at Micheal's a few weeks ago. I LOVE wearing costumes, but I was really worried about roasting or being uncomfortable, so I decided to go for simple and comfortable.

I have run through about a million ideas, but I think my dad and I are going to go as Little Miss Moffett and Spiderman. I know it's not Disney but the tongue and cheek humor of it all just cracked me up when my dad mentioned it.

Well, I'm -17- going as custom made fairy, and friend didn't want to dress up but i'm making her wear a tiara. :cutie: My mom is undecided at this point. It's our first time and i'm really getting excited.:yay:

DW-38, DS-6, DD-8 and me DD-37 are all going dressed up as pirates for MNSSHP.

I can't wait!!

Haha, you make my mouseketeer idea seem awful.

Great minds think alike. I wanted red skorts to match the bow in the mouse ears but couldn't find any. Keds and socks we already have.

I saw a picture in some old thread of a family that did this.

I can't zip my skort all the way! :lmao:

My dd, 4 at the time, and I went last year on 9/14. I wore a hideously expensive and HEAVY Maleficent costume. DD was Jessie, in an equally expensive cowgirl costume. It POURED all night. Velvet is not comfortable when it is wet nor does it breathe. :lmao:

This year we are going lighter. There are 4 of us and we are Peter Pan themed. My bestest friend is going with us to help take care of my baby. BFF is going to be Peter Pan. I don't know what her costume looks like yet. She is making it herself and she lives in Alabama.
My dd 5 will be Tiger Lily (with a reworked Pochohontas costume and a little war paint), dd 1 is Tinkerbell, and I will be Wendy Darling. MUCH cooler and lighter, not to mention cheaper since I made the dress myself from a cheapo nightgown pattern. :cool1:

Can't wait!

DS wants to be Mike Wazowski this year and I think DD would make a perfect Boo from Monsters Inc. I am not sure what DH and I are going to do. Dressing as Sulley will be way too hot!

My niece was almost going to be Boo - decided on Snow White instead.

I'm thinking of going as Maleficent. Found a costume on a non-Disney website. Even my family who don't know much about Disney costumes knew what I was. I don't want to spend money on something and have to explain all night who I am. Just not sure about the weather - will I roast? We're going 10/5. I like the idea of being something Disney - especially a villain for the party - but have never dressed up as an adult.

My cousin made her own Elizabeth Swan costume.
Her daughter will be Belle in her gown.
Her son will be Woody.
Her DH is going as himself, as are my mom and aunt.
My sister is thinking about going as Mary Poppins when she first arrives at the house.
My niece is Snow White.
Me either Maleficent or Pocahontas. Opposite extremes - one simple and cool, the other intense and more material (but reviews say its lightweight).

I really wanted to go as this, but chickened out for fear of offending others:
wear regular clothes with a cardboard sign hung around my neck that reads "Nudist on Strike". :lmao: I'm a conservative Christian and that wouldn't offend me, but I wanted to err on the side of caution for kids.

Feel free to comment on my ideas. :goodvibes

I love this idea! It may not be Disney friendly, but it's a GREAT idea!

So What tyime is everyone planning on entering the park on the night of their MNSSHP? Are you wearing your costume? or Changing while you are there?

If I can find a wig I like, I'll be going as Ariel in her pink dinner dress.

Last year my 4 year old dd and I went for Little ones extra magic time so we got to MK at 7:45 for rope drop and left when they threw us out about 12:30 am!:scared1:

We will NOT be doing that again this year. We have resort stuff planned for the day. We will get to the MK at 4pm, in costume, and stay until we are made to leave.
