MNSSHP 2015 - Be Prepared For Chaos

(I haven't read all 13 pages and it's bedtime... sorry if this has already been asked)

How were the lines for attractions from 4-7, BEFORE the party started?

They weren't horrible. We rode Buzz with a 15 min wait. Mine Train was still around 40-50 min at 4pm when we got there. Times in general were not out of line for September.

They already tried that with a free Villain Night and a hard-ticketed Villain Night at DHS. Both were disasters. Refunds were readily handed out after the ticketed party.

Disasters due to being located in HS or due to screw ups similar to what happened this week with the first MNSSHP party?

Due to being in DHS. Not enough attractions to spread out the crowd and the character lines were horrendous due to many rare villains being in attendance.

Unsafe conditions existed for guests and CMs.

I was at the Villains ticketed event last year. Disaster is the ONLY way to describe it!!! Way too many people, not enough to do. Horrendous lines for food or merchandise. They actually sold out of party merchandise early because they started selling it while non-party goers were still in the park. Those of us with tickets weren't able to get the t-shirts or other souvenirs. Lines for M&Gs were HOURS long! The whole thing was a nightmare.

And, yes, I got a refund for our four tickets!

Hmmmm.......where have I heard this before? Oh, thats right, people in this thread talking about Tuesday night's party!!!!

*SIGH* I'm just disappointed because it isn't like this is their first time doing this. They do this every year, multiple days per week. They know what is up, and yet, they continue to drop the ball.

Also, for what it is worth, someone in another thread reported e-mailing WDW about the number of non-ticketed, (no-wristband) people still in the park during party time. The response from WDW was that they do keep non-wristband wearing people off of rides and out of attractions.

I might not buy a ticket. Why should I bother, when apparently I can enjoy the parade, the stage show, get my photopass pics, and get some candy for free?

That stinks. I thought one of the "perks" of these special parties was the low crowds. I thought I remembered that someone said the same thing about the Christmas party being over sold last year.

Last year I went to the MVMCP on a night NOT sold out and the crowds were horrible.

So for those of us that were forced to endure this party on Tuesday, what would be the most effective way of voicing our displeasure to Disney directly?

That's really atrocious. I wouldn't make a scene, but I would absolutely consider requesting a refund. I might not necessarily expect to actually get it, but the point would be made. Why should some people get for free what other people paid for? The CMs need more training (re: how to get people out of the park) and higher numbers. You can't expect outnumbered, untrained people to be effective at dealing with a sea of thieves.

when is the next party? are they every night?
not every night, but there is one tonight the 18th, 20th, 22nd, 25th, 27th. Then many in Oct : 1,2,4,6,8,9,12,13,15,16,18,20,22,23,25,27,29,31 and Nov 1 Oct 31 is sold out already.

I am anxiously awaiting reviews of tonight's party. Hopefully they can work things out to get the non-party guests out before the party starts and that will help with the crowd levels.

Wow I didn't know there were so many in October, that's more than half of the whole month.

LOL at "sea of thieves". I really think people on this board are once again trying to see things through their Disney colored glasses. People hanging out in the park without tickets is NOT as big a problem as you think it is. Sort of like the free ticket for bloggers thing. The simple problem is Disney sells way too many tickets to this and then understaffs the event with not well trained staff to try and optimize it's profits for the shareholders. It's all about the money with Iger and I'm sure he was totally pleased with the results from the first party.

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed in how many parties there are in october. We have a trip planned from Oct 1-5 and there are parties 3 out of the 4 nights we are there. So the night that there isn't a party (which happens to be a saturday and extra magic hours), will be insane as well. I tried to get a FP for the parade at midnight on my 60 day mark and couldn't get it and have tried multiple times per day since, with no luck.

I actually had a good time at the ticketed villains event (I think I'm the only one) but Tuesday's party was horrendous.
