MNSSHP 2014 Official Thread

so.....wondering - since Labor Day isn't until like a week later next year, it's September 7th vs. September 1st - do you think they will start the MNSSHP like the Friday before Labor Day next year? I did do a little research and in 2009 Labor Day was the same as next year and they did start the party that Friday before - anyone have any thoughts? Thanks :)

The interaction we had with Cruella was beyond fabulous! She was a highlight of MNSSHP for us. She was dancing, talking, full character mode for the entire time, and with everyone! I think as far as one on one actual interaction goes she is more animated and fun than Mal (and I am a HUGE Mal fan) I'm not exaggerating, she was so quick with the one liners and "spot" on (:lmao:)We were the Seagulls from Nemo and our hats were slightly fuzzy..Cruella was having fun with how similar to puppy fur they were and have we seen any about etc. She also went on about how feathers can be just as wonderful to wear as fur..so you get how she improvises. She was dancing with everyone and really commanding the room. The only thing that topped the Cruella interaction for us at the dance party were the Tre'Maines , who I have been after meeting for years. The room is very dark (blue lighting) and lots if smoke/fog so have your camera set for that lighting or have the CM get a shot or 2 of your family. OMG, the more I remember back Cruella was a hoot! Have your DD bring a picture of a dalmation puppy that says missing...lol...I wanted to and forgot it..I would love to know what she does!

Oh I hope we have a great interaction as well that will really make my daughters night. I will have her bring a picture of a dalmation and see what happens. We are getting very excited for our trip.

Ok, my wife and I will be attending the party in a couple of weeks, our first time.
Couple of questions I was hoping you could answer:

You have to have a Magic Kingdom park ticket and the MNSSHP ticket as well, correct?

We plan on making that day our MK day anyway, but just wanted to check. If not, what's the earliest you can enter for the party?

Do they give free bags to collect candy or do you have to bring your own or purchase one?

Any other helpful hints would be great!!

You only need a MNSSHP party to attend the party. You can arrive at 4pm with the MNSSHP ticket.

You do receive a small bag to trick or treat.

OK, great, thanks for the info. Now we have a decision to make cause Saturday night we're running in the Tower of Terror 10K and that party doesn't end until 330. So we were worried about getting to bed at 5Am and getting up early to hit MK all day and all night with the party. This way, we can sleep in, maybe hit Downtown Disney or resort hop and then go to the party at 4 and then hit MK the next day!

AWESOME!!!:banana::banana::banana:

SO, I assume by the lack of answers that Chip and Dale do not make a Halloween appearance (or any appearance) this year at MNSSHP anywhere. Maybe they were able to hoard away enough candy that they can skip attending this year.

I attended the first MNSSHP on 9/1 and no, there was no M&G with Chip & Dale, sorry

Has anyone done any pin trading at MNSSHP? I got addicted to it on our trip last year. This is our only night at Disney World this year, so I was going to give it a go!

I know adults can not enter the park with a costume on but can a child? (in the morning)

Anyone have any info on the pins for this year's party? Will there be any left by the 10/9 party? And when do they put them out- at 7:00 when the party starts, or earlier?
Sorry, I know that is a lot of questions!:)

Yes children can dress up anytime.

Attended yesterday's party and got rained out! Boo (to you... Lol). Second parade canceled, deluge started at 10:30pm, vilains stage show canceled, candy trails (outdoor ones) closed. It was a crazy downpour! However, no line on SDMT in the pouring rain. Got some great ride photos of us in our ponchos.

The positive side was guest relations offered us complementary tickets to the next party. Thankfully we are here long enough to go.

My boyfriend and I went to the party on 9/19 and had a good time despite all the rain. I know all the Villains Mix and Mingles were cancelled, along with the Headless Horseman riding. We started off our night a bit late, so we went over to Club Villain (Jack and Sally was already too long). They had moved the Old Hag into there for the evening, so we managed to get a photo with her. Governor Ratcliffe came out so we also snagged a photo with him. We had fun just standing around watching all kinds of crazy interactions, especially Lady Tremaine and the Stepsisters.

We went to wait for Celebrate the Magic/HalloWishes. He grabbed us Starbucks while I waited. Both were great and the HalloWishes definitely cheered me up. We went over to the castle to sit for a spot for the parade and hopefully the Mix and Mingle. Unfortunately, it got cancelled even though the rain had subsided, the stage was still wet. The parade was good and my boyfriend got some nice shots.

Do you get a credit if all these things are cancelled?

Usually no-not a refund per say. Typically when it's that bad due to weather they offer you a ticket for another day. I'm not sure if WDW would break down and refund money for someone who was not able to attend another date. Possibly, but I wouldn't count on it.
