MNSSHP 2012 Thread (?)

Any ideas on which nights to do MNSSHP? I'm thinking either Sunday and Tuesday or Sunday and Thursday. I'm thinking Friday might be too busy. Hubby and I will attend both and my parents will attend either Tuesday or Thursday so they don't have to use up a park day (it will be pool day until the party). Thoughts anyone?

Not sure when your going, but based on the calendar for Sept. The party will either be on Fridays or Tuesdays only.
We attended on Friday last year, and it was awesome, not busy at all. It was also the first or 2nd week it started. We will be attending again on a Friday this year. We will be using our park pass during the day as well.

Thank you for that. We are going in October and based on the hours on the calendar I think my days are accurate. Of course anything is possible until the actual hours are released...

Do they ever offer a military discount for the Halloween party tickets? If yes do you get them on base or at WDW? It looks like there might be a party on Sept 25th an we will be there!!! Thanks

Yeah, I know. And judging from the TA calendar there's going to be two for us, one on sept 11th and the 14th. I'm aiming to go on the 11th to avoid the weekend. I even have a perfect costume as a friend gave me a fairy costume a couple of years ago and I've only got to wear it once

We're hoping for the exact same dates.. We'll be in MK the 11th and 14th of September.

We are planning on going!!! I will be there from 9/22-9/29/12. Not quite sure what date I am going yet. Or what my costume will be.

On easywdw.com he shows that there will be parties on Sundays starting the end of September. Now I know this isn't set in stone. I am just relaying information I read.

I hope that Josh on easy is right because I am planning on going on 9/30

Now to come up with costume ideas.

Do the majority of people dress up? If we didn't, how out of place would we look? Do most people do Disney-themed costumes or is there such a variety it doesn't matter?

Looked at your ticker, and it looks like I'll be arriving a day before you, and it's our first time as well! Where are you guys staying?

We're really hoping for Tuesday the 11th.. Friday is the other possibility, but we have an ADR for CRT that night at 6:45 and I'll die if I have to give it up.

It's honestly split. You'll see people in full elaborate costumes with makeup and props, some people costumed, some people in themed tshirts, and some people who don't dress up in anything Halloween related at all.

I have never done MNSSHP but have been thinking of going this year... I just need to find out if my aunt (AKA my travel companion) would be interested in going or if she feels it might be too much for her... I hate the thought of going alone to it....

We will be at POR Sept 9th-15th... 2 of those appear to have a party going on... will probably aim for the 11th as wont want a late night on the 14th before I start driving home the following day.

I can't decide on what night to go... 10/23 or 10/25. We are leaving on the 26th in the afternoon, so I was thinking the 25th would be good so we could sleep in the next day, but I read somewhere else that Tues are less crowded than Thurs, so now I don't know what to do! Any suggestions?

My family and I are going to be at WDW from October 24-30, 2012. It will be our first trip in October, we usually go in Jan.-Feb.
We are so going to MNSSHP! Our last name is Frollo so we would like to get a family picture with him. I was thinking of dressing up as characters from Hunchback. I'm not sure which night we will be going, I'm thinking Thursday. We would do rd at AK, take a nap in the afternoon and head over to MK for the party. However we have an 8:45 yes class at epcot the next morning I don't want to burn out the first two days at Disney and then be to tired to enjoy the rest of the trip.
