Is there a secret to regulating the temperature of WDW rooms? Currently I’m at Yacht Club and am struggling with making the room a consistent temperature. It’s almost always too cold for me, but when I change the thermostat a few degrees higher it becomes a sauna! Very frustrating. Just when I think I’ve got it perfect, the AC kicks in and it’s too chilly again.

Thanks for any help.

It’s going to have a spread of four or five degrees whatever you set it on. So keep that in mind. It will either be a little too warm before it kicks back on or it will be a little too cool before it cycles off. You just have to find the range that is least uncomfortable and set it. It’s not going to stay within just a degree or two.

I usually pack a small fan in my suitcase. Some resorts have a few box fans available so if you don’t have a ceiling fan in the room, ask the front desk if they have any. That might help make you more comfortable.

I love YC, but the heating/ ac system is nuts. I have the same experience as you do. The only solution I’ve come up with is to turn the whole thing off for a few minutes at time. It’s annoying.

No, that’s not it. Of all the resorts we’ve stayed at YC’s system is the worst. They have the room temp preset at 67° if I remember right. The blower is very strong & even in the summer, it’s way too cold. I’ve tried increasing the temp just 2°, it doesn’t just adjust the AC. It actually makes the heat come on! As in, it starts blowing hot air! I’ve never had this problem at any other Disney resort.
