MNSHP vs MVMCP

Which one do you prefer and why?

We have done both and I would say the MNSSHP just gets it although having said that we didn't have much luck with the MVMCP as the first night we went DD got sick and the second it rained so we left before the parade - fireworks were amazing though.

I loved the atmosphere at both parties and would happily pay to do both again.

Been to both and much preferred mnsshp over mvmcp, the atmosphere decorations etc were much better although I loved it when it snowed on main street!

We also thought the parade was better. I agree the weather plays it's part it was cold the evening of mvmcp and very humid when we went to mnsshp both unpleasant but we had a great time at both!

I would return to mnsshp but I don't this we would spend the £££ for mvmcp again.

Another vote for the MNSSHP.
We've done both twice. On our last trip we managed to do both in one trip, one week we did the Halloween party, the next week we did the 1st Christmas party. Slightly surreal.
Anyway, the MNSSHP is just more fun. The costumes everybody goes in are quite a sight, more interaction with the CMs, trick or treat stations, ... It's a really great atmosphere.

The Christmas party, it's magical, but not unlike other things Disney tends to do every day. The parade and the fireworks are different than the normal ones (although some of the dance routines during the MNSSHP and MVMCP parades are the same!).

We had lots of fun on both, but the Halloween party has the edge.

Another vote for MNSSHP and I agree with another poster who said that the atmosphere seems better.

Im the odd one outMuch preferred the MVMCP.But I love christmas and the hot chocolate apple juice and cookies watching the snow on mail street is magical.Only ever done it in december though.We dressed up for the halloween party and got loads of sweets but got a bit flustered because we were all hot.If I did it again I would prob just do the make up and t-shirts. to both though as both worth doing.

I'd pick MVMCP over MNSSHP

But I love christmas and all things christmassy. I've done MVMCP 3 times and MNSSHP once.

We did enjoy the halloween party, but christmas one was extra special to me.

I've been to both and enjoyed both but for different reasons.

I think I like Neoshoegal's description best though. Fun vs Magical.

MNSSHP is fun in atmosphere - costumes, candy, both guests and castmembers seem to be more open and friendly (I think the (sometimes amazing) costumes break down some of the barriers between people). MVMCP is more 'magical', snow on Main St, hot chocolate and cookies (usually appreciated all the more because it can get brrr at that time of year), the castle looking AMAZING with little white twinkly lights to make it look snow covered....

I hope I'll never be forced to choose - it's like having to choose a favourite child!

Only ever done one and that was MNSSHP and loved it. Would recommend this the atmosphere and decorations was superb.
