Kathy:Sorry you had to get up early and have to work today. Hopefully, it will breeze by!

I wish you could have seen Bonnie last night! She's allowed up on the bed if one if us is sleeping - not both - because Tom takes up enough room. He's 6'6". (No Barb, you can't have him). Tom worked all night the night before so he was in bed right after dinner. When I got up there Bonnie was spooning him with her legs up as far as she could reach to hug around him. They were dead to the world. I should have come downstairs for my camera.

I haven't told Bonnie yet that J-P is coming home. She'll go crazy running around. He had already left for college 1 year when we got her. The first time he came home you could tell she knew he belonged to us. She loves him so much! Mother says she thought, "I didn't know we had a BOY TOO!" She'll figure it out when she sees me clean his room today!

That's where I'm headed - cleaning and cooking tonight.

Hey everyone! My parents arrived exhausted but well! My house is so organized and neat, it's making me so happy! I hate having clutter issues! I really want to keep it this way.

My father is busting at the seams to tell me how eating on my schedule is ridiculous. I have an alarm set, and I know it's driving him crazy. I'm going to keep it as low key as possible because I don't want to get into it with him.

The turkey is defrosting well. Tomorrow I need to take it out and season it well. Hopefully I'll be able to budge out the inside to season the inside as well.

I need to catch up with all of you! I'm going to start reading now. My next feeding is 2am, so I'll be able to crash then. Has anyone noticed the packages of weight control oatmeal is just over the carb count we should be in? It has sucralose as a sweetener, but is like 2 carbs over or so. I gave a scoop of what was in my bowl to Budakka. She appreciated it!

Ok, off to read and to sleep!

Nell, I'm glad your folks made it safely. Don't worry too much about your Dad. Dads (men) are like that. They won't admit they don't know or understand something so they try to make light of it. You can just do your thing like the grown up girl you are

Calling all cooks!

I'm making a coconut pie tonight. I found the unsweetened coconut for the topping. The recipe calls for 1 cup coconut. How much granular spenda do you think I should add to the coconut to sweeten??

I read some blogs on the Internet. The easiest answer was to toss with some sweetener and eat one pinch to taste. They said start with 1/2 cup sweet to about 5 cups coconut. You can also make a syrup about 2 splenda to 1 water, coat the coconut and let it dry, if you have time.

HAHA, hopefully I have exercised my way out of my brain fog and can chat somewhat intelligently for the rest of the evening...OMG, maybe I need some Ginko! BARB - STOP ME before I SUPPLEMENT MYSELF AGAIN!!!!

OK Bev - I knew SOMEONE was in ILLINOIS!! Geez, you would think I would have us all straight by now...YES, get your gear packed and come on down...we are planning some fun stuff to do along with our Godiva Ride! Lisa is cooking, Brad is hanging lights, Kate, Tom, Ken and I are wrapping presents for the doggies...Nell and Marti are putting up their cabin, I have plenty of room for those who need their own space, and I think Kathy and Mike are staying in the barn!! Jocelyn is sailing over in a boat, and Im sorry but I forgot what everyone else is doing..., oops I guess there is still some fog left in the old brain after all!

Glad you found your Mindflex, I asked EVERYONE I knew with kids and they were like...good luck with that!

If you guys are floating to Jocelyns, I guess us east coasters will have to sit up here on my mountain and send you guys smoke signals!! tee hee, Me smoking here and Barb smoking there!!

Barb - you totally crack me up sometimes, send Tom to China...very funny!!

Lisa - dont send him to China...Im beginning to wonder if they are ever going to give Ken back! The MM Warriors might just have to gear up for a Chinese Invasion!!! I want my man back!! This is us heading for the East China Sea to kidnap Ken from the oil rig!!

Natalie - how could I forget you were in Jersey? You get to be close to Diane!!

Ah, it's so hard when our guys are far away, huh? Look on the bright side, at least Ken can text and email you Many years ago when hubby was in the Navy, all we had was the military snail mail. I would get a stack of letters and then nothing for a month or more. Absence DOES make the heart grow fonder, look how much you've come to realize what Ken means to you?

I needed to pop in and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm beat, but every thing is ready for tomorrows feast. I still have a few things that I can't do in advance, or I would! lol The turkey is still a little too warm to slice so that shall be my last task before bed.

I also wanted to remind you all that I'm going to be leaving for Mexico sometime Friday. I didn't want you to think I was MIA. We have to hit the boarder at day break, DH insists that we travel in Mexico only during the daylight hours. Oh!Oh! That reminds me, I understand that they have the Ross stores that some of you talk about in Texas! I'm going to check to see if I can find one and stop on the way down or back and see what all the hubbub is about. lol I think I'm as excited over that prospect as I am the vacation. lol

Okay I'm headed to the sofa to plop down and watch the Biggest Loser special.

I'm so very thankful for you all and your support and friendship and our new WOL. You all have a wonderful day tomorrow!

SharronLee, Pam, Honeygram and everyone: It was great to see you all and to receive your good wishes. I also wish you all the very best of Thanksgivings. Honeygram, hope everyone is on the mend soon. Pam, have an exciting and fun trip! Ross is awesome! You’ll probably stop at every town once you go to one, lol! Make sure you look through the designer racks at the front.

The pie I posted is definitely best chilled. I had to taste test, right?? It’s pretty good! I imagine with the whipped cream tomorrow it will be great. No, I didn’t dig into the group dessert – they are all having another creation.

Turkey is in the oven and hubby still isn’t home. Pray for me that he gets here before I have to slice it up!

Well, there isn't too much I've missed today. I'm exhausted and ready to fall fast asleep. But I can't yet. Pretty soon though! It's 9pm, so I'll be able to escape soon. I hope everyone is well. Well, I am finally back home...spent 8 hours with Dennis and Rick today, helping fill out 30 pages of applications for emergency medical assistance, disability, rent and utility assistance programs....OMG, what a complicated web they weave for people who need help! Its amazing anyone ever manages to get the forms filled out properly...it took the three of us over 2 hours !! Good thing I m a college graduate!! GEEZ

Poor things didnt have a stitch of gas in the car, or a full shelf of food in the house...so Rick and I went to the gas station where I filled up the car with gas, then off to the grocery store ( while he protested the entire way) where we spent $200 stocking up on food, juices, fruit, veggies, meat and dog food...breaks my heart to see them in this situation, but we did have fun shopping. Dennis broke into tears when we started bringing in all the bags...I SWEAR Pony almost broke down too...I told him he needs to eat and be well so they can walk me down the aisle...that brought on another round of tears...but we did have a long discussion about Faith and my urgent desire to see him accept The LORD into his heart and his life...I have never "ministered" to anyone in a direct manner like that, and I prayed that God would guide me and give me the right words...amazingly enough I feel like I said mostly the right things...I feel so much better now and I truly believe that Dennis is almost ready to open himself up to the possibilities...Praise the Lord!

Nell - too funny that you are trying to get some alone time already!! Whenever I have house guests I feel trapped after awhile too! Unless of course it was all of you guys...I plan to put you all to work! LOL

Kate - hope chloe made it home ok!

Pam, SharronLee and Honeygram - so GREAT to see you guys here, and hope you all have a Blessed and Wonderful Holiday...Honeygram, sorry you are now the one with the flu....feel better soon!

Kathy - I feel bad that you are down tonight...hope you have a good rest, and wake up feeling better....dont ever be afraid to put us in a bad mood...we are here to listen and comfort and console and lift you up!!

Barb - I went to both Walmart and sams Club today...managed to stay out of the supplement aisle at both stores!! Arent you proud? I was very excited to find Davinci syrups though, the BIG bottles, in Caramel, English toffee, and Kahlua flavors!!! YAY!!! Also got a case of Atkins Vanilla shakes CHEAP...I love using that in my coffee at work. And a huge 4lb bag of pistachios was only $13...I LOVE them but they are so darn expensive in the small bags...

Got to talk to Ken this morning for almost 1/2 hour and wil be able to talk again tomorrow morning too! You are so right, at least we are able to stay in touch through IM, and e-mail....I would be going crazy if I had to rely on snail mail!!

Lisa - OMG, I just found out that we have a new Ross store here in Lynchburg, which is the city where I work...about 35 miles from my house!! I cant wait to go there!! What can I expect to find and what deals am I looking for there!! YAY!!
