MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

Oh I didn't know our friends could see a private group. I set a group up for Zumba Laura but I made it my invite only can you read what I post for Zumba Laura?Just curious. At least we have FB when this sit e is down. They seems to be down for maintenance alot. Not starting trouble I was just wondering.

Hmmm, maybe there are aspects of it I am not aware of. You invite certain people, but I thought they could all see your wall, etc. once they are in your group of friends. It's a great place for us to chat if we are down here and to exchange pictures, etc.

Laura, did you mean you have two FB identities with two groups of friends?

Lisa, Look on my wall and see if you see a posting I did that says Zumba Laura and it has the Zumba Logo.

Well I am off to pick my son up from work and then teach my Zumba class. Husband is out of town so I won't have anyone bugging me about being on the computer. :lmao:

Talk to ya later.:grouphug:

I don't see it if it was recent. So did you make a sub-group within your regular page then?:surfweb:

That's different. I didn't know you could do anything like that on facebook either. I, like Lisa dislike everyone knowing about everything I do. So I tend not to use facebook as often as I would otherwise.

I use it in kind of a 'light and easy way' Nell. Agree. I noticed today my sister encouraged her friends to do random acts of kindness and then to post them on her page. Neat idea.

That is a very astute thought Nell. You could be right. Something else I've read about recently is that research has shown a very low carb diet has been found to prevent cancer cells from growing. Some cancer cells feed off the sugars in carbs and will starve and die when not given sugar. Another good reason to keep our diets lower carb. :thumbsup2

Barb - that's interesting information. Anything I can do to keep those cancer cells from coming back is good for me!

Hi Everyone,
I didn't get the job! :sad1: I was out this morning and when I got home there was a phone message. I am so disappointed because I really thought I was going to get it. I thought for sure I would have gotten a job by now - it's been 6 months. The woman who interviewed me said they received over 100 applications and narrowed it down to 6 for interviewing. I have applied to over 60 ads since May and that is the only interview I got. It is such a bad time to be out of work.

To make it worse I'm feeling mad at my former employer for putting me out here in this environment. They gave me 2 weeks pay for every year and 10 vacation days for a total of 26 weeks severance. I worked for an Episcopal church as the parish administrator (everything that wasn't liturgical was my job). The endowment which finances half of their budget suffered in the stock market and they felt they couldn't afford to pay me. I know it was the priest's idea. She was new to the priesthood (2 yrs.) and this was her first rectorship. She's still a business woman. I wasn't too mad at the time because I thought it wouldn't be so hard to find a job. Now when I look at their balance it has totally recovered - just like I told her it would.

I'm sorry I'm venting like a scorned female. Thanks for listening.

I'm so sorry you didn't get the job. We're always here to listen.

Welcome back Sandra and Laura, we've missed you.

I made a big decision today. I threw my shorts through the dryer. For those of us who are pooh sized, the dryer is my enemy. Well my stretch capris and shorts are starting to get a little baggy, so I threw them in the dryer. I will let you know if they fit when they come out.

I guess everyone is getting ready for dinner. Not sure what I'm having. Zumba is at 5:45 and I don't like to eat early. I did have some dark chocolate as an 11-20 snack, so I'm good until 8:00 p.m.

I'll try to catch you all later.

Hi Ladies!! I haven't got time now to read all I missed, but we had a nice time in Florida and got to enjoy Seaworld and visiting family. I ate horribly!! and I felt like poop! So I'm back to step 1! oh well, I had some yummy food though! I'll try to catch up and see what you all have been up to.

Welcome home, Natalie! I'm so glad you had a great time! Step 1 time will fly by and then it will be Thanksgiving, LOL! Fill us in on your trip when you have time.

Welcome Home Natalie! :grouphug:

I got my d-ribose in the mail. It's a little container. I thought it was going to be large because it cost a lot. Well, it should last a month if I only use it 2x a day. I'm eager to see if it makes a difference. :)

Good things come in small packages:)Unless you are talking about MM'er's;)

Hi All, work is boring again...OMG things really need to pick up around here!!

Welcome back Natalie - glad you had a good time, but a nice big Zap for all the stuff you ate!! LOL, post some pictures soon!!

Tutu - wondered where you were...see you on FB but not here!! I like FB for keeping in touch with folks far away, but they are forever having trouble there too, so believe me, there is far less down time here than FB!! Plus there are always changes there too...seems like every other month they are changing something and everyone is complaining!!

Lisa - I re-read my shakeology and you're right, there are plenty of veggies and fruits in there, so Im not going to worry about it too much!! I dont think it will hurt to continue throwing in the spinach, but at least I wont have to stress over it!!:thumbsup2 There is B-12 in there too, along with all the yummy stuff like kelp, algae, grass, etc!:scared1:

Diane - so so sorry about the job...I was laid off for 2 months and I was so stressed it wasnt funny, so I totally know how you feel...there are just so few jobs out there and so many people applying for them...Praying for the "perfect" thing to come along for you soon...

Bev - I just found the arnolds sandwich thins at Walmart this week...very excited too! they are yummy, fit the 11-20, and are way better than any of the legal bread I have found!! Hope all came out well in the dryer!! LOL, thats one way I know I am thinner, since I can throw all my pants in the dryer now and they still fit!!:cool1:

Sandra - glad to see you back...you'll be fine this time around!

Melanie - welcome to the baggy pants club!!:yay:

I just bagged up a sack of pants for the Veterans benefit. Leap of faith that I won't need them again!:scared1:
