Tomorrow, go onto that link page before 11am. Once 11am hits you’ll automatically be directed to the registration page, and that’s where you’ll enter your membership number.I just received my email/link. However, I’m not seeing a place to enter my ID number early like the OP is stating?
If you have
Membership 1 - all resale non-grandfathered points (‘non-DVC-Y points’)
Membership 2 - direct points (‘DVC-Y points’)
Your reservation is with Membership 1 and it’s non-DVC-Y points,
Then, this qualifies for MM Early Registration?
Need a refresher …So click on the ‘reserve your spot’ link in the email prior to 11am … then it immediately goes to a screen to enter the membership # or does the membership number get entered after 11am? At what point is the random # issued?Yes it does!
If you have more than one Membership ID Number*, enter the number that was used to make the room booking.
*(we do because we have 2 owners listed on the Resale and 4 on the Direct, and also happens when UY doesn’t match)

Regardless of which 12-digit DVC Membership Number makes you Blue Card, the Registration Form is going to ask for the 12-digit # associated with the booking. If you enter a 12-digit Membership Number that does not have a qualified booking on an MM date, the system will say you do not qualify.
This causes alot of confusion because people assume they did not qualify because resale points/membership was used to make the booking.
BUT, if they go back and use the correct 12-digit membership number associated with the booking, the system will proceed and see the DVC-Y status. SUCCESS
The problem is that by the time somebody goes through all those extra steps, it’s well past 11am and now they get a super high queue number and their chances severely dwindled.
thank you! makes sense.Yes it does!

I usually agree with the early entry into the queue but last year for MM registration, I got in on my iPad before 11 and then right at 11 on my phone (JIC) and the phone queue was the one that got me in first!Get on that linked page before 11am. I shoot for about 10-20 minutes prior to 11am, though 2 minutes or 2 hours could also work. (You can enter after 11am but risks very high queue #)
What you say is kind of how it worked for me as well. Maybe the timing of the automatic refresh rates had something to do with it?I usually agree with the early entry into the queue but last year for MM registration, I got in on my iPad before 11 and then right at 11 on my phone (JIC) and the phone queue was the one that got me in first!
What is the difference between member ID # and membership ID#.Technically you do not even need to use the email link. Everybody is going to this link:

Currently that looks like this:

The link listed above works even if you don’t get the email for some reason.

Once 11am hits, the system starts handing out queue numbers. With so many people, not instantaneously. Could take minutes to get your queue number. As other members complete registration, your queue # will keep dropping. They’ll keep updating how many guests are ‘in front’ of you. Don’t be alarmed at high number.
When you turn comes, the page will automatically redirect to enter your Member ID#, then on to your Membership ID#. I think that’s the order? Each page gives you 5 minutes.
I try not to let my nerves get the best of meOnce you get in, the system goes smoothly and it’s just a matter of being prepared with the info. I make a note with my ID#, the room reservation connected to the MM event date, and the Membership# I booked that room.
Last year rates of success seemed higher compared to other registrations. We were trying for the Nov AK date and I followed along with everybody here on the DIS. Most of us who were on at 11am succeeded. Some people with high queue# had the misfortune of their date ‘filling up’ first, while other dates were still open at that point. A few people tied up with work didn’t join the queue until 5-10 minutes after queue opened and surprisingly still found a spot for their date, because it wasn’t that first date to fill up. I can’t remember which order the dates filled up.Does anyone have a strong opinion on how tough this set of dates will be compared to the others that fall into a particular season? I’m thinking it will be easier due to the shorter time frame from announcement to the MM events.

Sorry-still confused. Been a member for over 5 years and never heard of two different numbers. The 12 digit # listed besides each of my UY contracts says 'member ID'. Is that what your calling a membership #? also-I do not recall having to give two different numbers in a MM registration before. Is this new?The Member ID is tied to the individual. The Membership ID# is the account where a contract is owned/located.
A member might be listed as owner on more than one contract, and those contracts would be under different Membership numbers if they don’t share the same exact UY and owner names.
