Tomorrow, go onto that link page before 11am. Once 11am hits you’ll automatically be directed to the registration page, and that’s where you’ll enter your membership number.
Good luck everybody!
Last year for this cluster of AK dates there was a high rate of success for those who were on the queue-it page at 11am. Don’t despair even if the number you draw seems high. Hang in there.
If you have more than one Membership ID Number*, enter the number that was used to make the room booking.
*(we do because we have 2 owners listed on the Resale and 4 on the Direct, and also happens when UY doesn’t match)
Regardless of which 12-digit DVC Membership Number makes you Blue Card, the Registration Form is going to ask for the 12-digit # associated with the booking. If you enter a 12-digit Membership Number that does not have a qualified booking on an MM date, the system will say you do not qualify.
This causes alot of confusion because people assume they did not qualify because resale points/membership was used to make the booking.
BUT, if they go back and use the correct 12-digit membership number associated with the booking, the system will proceed and see the DVC-Y status. SUCCESS
The problem is that by the time somebody goes through all those extra steps, it’s well past 11am and now they get a super high queue number and their chances severely dwindled.
I should add… at least that’s how it’s worked so far. I think DVC is not going to change this because many people have direct and resale points on the same membership, and often combine those at 7 months to make a booking. One room reservation number can have both resale and direct points, so how could it be determined which nights did not use direct points.
I guess they could change the system to where a booking must include at least some direct/grandfathered points, just seems like it wouldn’t be worth all the additional complications. They’d need to do an overhaul of the registration process.
