so as sometimes happens, mere weeks before our trip disney has changed the park hours. now, on one of our MK mornings the park is opening at 8 (not EMH), and my once-valuable 8:00 BOG breakfast is suddenly not very valuable. I'm trying not to get too down about it, and so I'm wondering on a morning when MK opens at 8:00 for regular hours, does the welcome show still run? will it be around 7:45? thanks in advance :)

1. and my once-valuable 8:00 BOG breakfast is suddenly not very valuable.

2. on a morning when MK opens at 8:00 for regular hours, does the welcome show still run? will it be around 7:45? thanks in advance :)

1. I agree. Early openings cancel out any early-entry advantages.
I'd dump the early breakfast and move it to much later in the morning...
after prime early-attraction-riding time.

2. There will always be an MK Welcome show.
However, it might not be the "full show" every day of the year (EMH or otherwise.)

On an 8:00AM EMH day the show can start sometime between 7:45 and 7:55.

I have been watching the wait times for this week and it is supposed to be heavier than the week you are there - that's the week we are going too. I am not too worried about seeing things at MK. It looks like we will all be able to do pretty much everything we want. Crowds seem to be pretty reasonable. I do agree though that the reservation is kind of useless now that it won't get you into the park early. Luckily my park hours didn't change for our Wed MK day.

I agree with the OP and would suggest moving the BOG breakfast to later and use that early time in the park to get a lot of attractions in while the crowds are low.

thanks, everyone. I think breakfast is definitely going--it's frustrating to know I woke up at an absurd hour to get the reservation, but I don't want to lose the valuable park time. and I've never actually stopped to watch the welcome show live, so I'm trying to focus on that silver lining :)
