MK so crowded today

Can't believe how crowded it is today. I have been multiple times in the summer and never seen it this bad. This is my first time in April and I knew it may be bad but I figured it would be summer busy. Nope way worse.

I don't know if it's a fast pass + issue or just a spring break issue. I though I would miss the spring break crowds by a week. Even the fast pass lines are crazy. The know even have enough q lines to contain them in the ride.

Needless to say I will not be coming back until they figure out fast pass and definitely never in April again

It is metro-Atlanta's Spring Break week and another poster mentioned that it had rained all day yesterday. Hang in there, take a break from the park, and come back later in the evening. Good luck!

Wow...70 minutes for Haunted Mansion right now and 80 minutes for POTC.

Not everyone has spring break in the same week. But as mentioned above, Atlanta's spring break is apparently this week. I'll add that many schools in Kentucky have their spring break this week. And this is probably the tip of the iceberg. I think it's about 99% a spring break issue and 1% or less a FP+ issue.

We are just walking into Epcot and the bag check security mentioned that MK was closed (she didn't say what stage shutdown it is) ...so with the day long rain yesterday it seemed to change the dynamics if today.

So, you cannot blame FP+ for today ... This is just a good ol' fashion big attendance day.

I'm in Michigan and this week is spring break for a lot of school districts around here. I know of at leat 5 families that are at Disney this week.

I've been monitoring wait times to plan our trip in a couple of weeks and noticed this crazy spike. Another poster mentioned all day rain yesterday because crowds are much higher than forecasted...

The Florida resident seasonal pass is blocked out for 2 weeks starting Saturday April 12, I expect a lot of those pass holders are visiting before it starts.

You certainly can blame FP+. Even on the busiest of days, you never saw wait times like this - 70 minutes for POTC, 80 for JC? No way

OP, sorry it is so busy. As others have said, it is spring break in a lot of places and it is almost always busier the day after a rainy day. I will say I have never seen lines like they are showing on the app.

I know several people there this week and they are reporting that it is really busy as well. Try to make the best of it with RD and evenings.

It is 2:49 on a Wednesday afternoon and here are the wait times for the major rides according to a popular ride app.

Buzz Lightyear.. 80 minutes

Dumbo 85 minutes

Enchanted Tales with Bell 110 minutes

Haunted Mansion is 70 minutes

Its a small world 45 minutes

Jungle Cruise is 80 minutes

Pirates of the Caribbean is 70 minutes

Space Mountain is 115 minutes

Splash Mountain is 95

Unreal. Can rain yesterday really cause waits like this? The other parks are also posting long lines.. Soarin is 80 at Epcot and Test Track is 100 min. TSMM is showing 85 minutes, RRC is showing 80.

One thing that hit me is Touring Plans has an overall WDW prediction level at a 4 and had MK predicted to be a 3 today. Easywdw has a 6 overall crowd level and MK as being the Most Recommended park! Yikes they were both wayyyy off today! Scary to think they are so far off the mark when you are using these sites to plan a trip. I know rain could have made a difference at MK but, really this big of a difference? MK can't get crazy busy like that if there weren't a whole lot of guests at WDW to begin with, which means there is no way overall crowd predictions of a 4 are close.

Can you imagine going to MK today believing it is the slowest and best park to visit and being told overall crowd levels are low and to walk into that mess... yikes, just yikes!

Was reading this on the TP chat as well. Seems Splash is (or was) down as was Barnstormer. Not sure if that is impacting stuff. Poster and replies all indicated this was unsual/abnormaland that the crowd level predictions were way off... Wonder what's up.

Seriously though, to the OP, sorry to hear it is so crazy! I've seen waits like that at Christmas and it is brutal. I once waited 60 mins to ride Living with the Land

I really think the rain yesterday, combined with continued spring break crowds has just caused an unexpected attendance surge today.

I think this everytime I see these posts...We usually go during "slower times" and still have seen wait times for 70-110 minutes easy on things like Test Track, SM, Soarin', etc. And that has been while the paper FP exsisted.

Wow! That is surprising. We were at MK on Saturday morning, Epcot in the afternoon and MK on Sunday evening and things were quite pleasant crowd and wait timewise. Doesn't make me look forward to the weekend.

Its spring break here in NJ for some schools. We lost some of our spring break days because of too many snow days but we still had 600 kids out today. I think with our bad winter a lot more people here are flocking to FL this spring.

I don't understand how the wait times reported in thread correlate with the Touringplans crowd calendar estimate for today. If today at MK is a 3 or 4, I'm really going to look forward to our MK visit at the end of the month when TP is estimating a 6!
