I have been reading about the new show being up in the hub, and Main Street opening early for everyone. I am wondering how those of you who have been there have noticed the crowds up and down Main Street since this has happened? We always book at least 2 PPO breakfasts in the Magic Kingdom specifically for that WOW walk up Main Street, USA where you have the Castle view almost entirely to your self - we have so many wonderful photos through the years as the kids have grown up with almost no-one else in them. I am honestly not all that concerned about getting to certain rides before the crowds bustle in, but will be very disappointed if we do lose the reward of a magical near empty morning admiring the Magic Kingdom as we make our way to CP, the Castle, or BOG. . . is that benefit totally lost now? What have you seen/experienced?

people with PPO ADR ( or tours or things like this) get in about 10 minutes before the normal crowd dose so you might get your picture.

Only 10 minutes! Yikes...that's what I was afraid of.....we take 10 minutes just strolling up the street admiring all of the views! Oh well....it's all still Disney, and my kids are older now so it's not as important, just feels a little less magical.

this is just what I have seen I have never done an PPO ADR and was just there 3 times since the new show went into affect I have heard from others that they have had a different exsprince with what time the park opens for them. and remember you paid to eat some where not to have the park to your self to take pictures ( not saying this is whey you do this)

also have you thought about staying late one night you can get some pretty cool pictures at night with very few people in them, just an idea.

Oh there are lots of reasons why we do it . . . we do enjoy the breakfasts and the slow pace before the busyness of the day sets in. We will certainly still enjoy, it is just one of the "fringe benefits" we have always enjoyed! We have almost always had a first seating when we do early breakfasts, so we have entered as early as 1:15 minutes before the park opens.....a lot of the beauty comes from watching the sun rising over 7 seas lagoon as we walk from the boat launch or bus stop - it is just so peaceful and tranquil. Even though there were often a handful of people waiting at the gates for rope drop, it was never difficult to navigate through and over to the reservations line and once there, it was just so calm and quiet. That's what I will be missing - not saying it will no longer be a benefit to have those earlier reservations, it just makes the experience different.

My husband just asked me about this too we have a few places he wants to eat now and he was wondering if we might get that same shot of main street LOL.
