MK Parade

Where is the viewing area for the fantasy parade at MK? Do you have to get there early to 'hey a good spot'. We did the FP because we have had several trips this year and I want to see that parade with my 1 year old in a good spot. Please share the details please.

Robo - another one of your great maps! Quick question: on the map, the arrow on the parade route is pointing toward Frontierland. Does the parade go from Main Street to Frontierland, or the other way? I thought I'd seen photos showing the latter direction.....

Most people report it isn't crowded... a couple rows deep at the most. Arrive a little early if you want a spot on the curb. It is very hot - no shade at all.

FoF begins in Frontierland so if you stood opposite of the bridge, you can watch it come straight at you and then as it turns towards the Castle.

The arrow is just pointing toward the location of the bridge to Liberty Square.

The various parades go in different directions.

MSEP does happen to run from Town Square to near Splash Mtn. (in the direction of the arrow.)
Festival of Fantasy (3 O'Clock Parade) runs in the opposite direction.

We had the FP+ spot for the parade but honestly I found a better spot in Adventure land/frontier land. We spent 2 days at MK. The first day we had the FP+ It was directly in the sun no shade. It was fine because the day we were there it was over cast. In fact it downpoured right when the last float was crossing. The second day we had just got off the Aladin ride and heard the parade. Behind the Aladin ride by the exit if you go off to the right you will come accross a covered area. We could see the parade very well and it was shaded due to the covered area. I actually liked that spot much better! We got there while the parade had already started and still was able to see the parade very well. while being protected from the hot Florida sun. Just thought I would put my 2 cents in.

You could book the Parade as a FP+ as a back up. Check out some areas to see if you would rather watch the parade there instead. If not happy with the spot then you have you FP+ that you could arrive at 15 to 20 minutes before the parade. If you do like the area and do not use your FP+ then you can got a FP+ for something else.

No problem. It never hurts to have a back up plan.

When we went in April, we had a Splash Mountain fastpass that started at 2:00, so we went right at 2:00, then we found an awesome spot in front of Country Bear Jamboree about 30 minutes before. It was in the sun, but my DH walked across the street and got the whole family frozen lemonade. We had front row and weren't crowded in by the people next to us. Plus we got to sit on the ground and enjoy the parade. That parade was my favorite of the whole trip!
