Probably a worthless post, but what the heck. It's Friday....I've found this comes into play in a lot of other posts, and I was just wondering:

Am I the only one that avoids MK on Saturday no matter what time of year? I went last September, and since DW wanted to see Spectromagic, we took a deep breath and headed over around 6 PM the last Saturday in September. While the rest of our trip looked like a deserted island, this night looked like Marti Gras. It was the first time in four years I'd ventured on MK property on a Saturday, and it didn't change my mind a bit. If need be in slow periods, I'll miss the fireworks. How about you?

Just interested....

Oh, my friend, I would rather celebrate the New Year in Time Square than to venture into the Magic Kingdom on a Saturday.

It gets so crowded that you just can't move in any direction without running into someone. No, you're not the only one who avoids the MK on Saturdays. But MK is so crowded on Saturdays, it sometimes looks like you and I may be the only ones avoiding it ;)

October 1998 was the last time we were in Disney but we're do to arrive on May 8th (AKL). In 1998 on the Saturday we were there we spent the day at Animal Kingdom. When we were leaving, one of the CM's asked me if we were headed to MK. I said no, and she said "It is at capacity".

Now for our trip this year we are tentatively planning to go to MGM on Saturday. Now I heard there will be Spectromagic, Fireworks, and an E-night. I don't know if we should venture over to MK in the early evening, I really wanted to do the E-night.
Do you think it would be worth it to give it a shot? I don't want to waste the extra money for the E-night if we can't go on many rides.

We try to avoid Saturday Evenings at MK also.
(Maybe you can help me KarenMick, I have asked before but not really gotten any answers.. What are ENights?- I have read about them but honestly don't know what it is.)
How are Sundays at MK? Any different than Saturdays?

I have yet to see Spectromagic because of this. I'm sure it's a great parade, but it can't be THAT great!

We usually go to MK only in the evening on Saturday to see Spectromagic & the fireworks. Maybe catch some of the less popular rides like TTA. Don't plan to leave right after Spectro or Fireworks, it's wall to wall people on Main Street, you are better off waiting 15 minutes for crowds to thin out.

We also avoid MK on Saturday night - for that matter, we avoid all parks! We like to plan a nice dinner at our resort and call it an early night. This is usually the midway point of our trip so we like to relax. We are then up for the EE on Sunday morning at MK that most folks don't do because they were at MK the previous night late!
