EMH in the morning, what time should we be there, how many people might be there? Any advice, never done it before.

well i would plan to get there at the start of memh

i have never seen it too crowded in the am as most people like to sleep in or are busy with the brakfast dining still
it will mostly be fantasy land stuff open

We always go to EEMH at MK. It may look like a lot of people in line to get in, but it's really not. Get there before the EMH opening time & when they let you, go for it. You should have a couple hours to get stuff done & get a couple of fast passes for later before it gets too crowded. If you have little ones, I suggest Dumbo 1st, if you plan on riding it. Otherwise, The Mountains (not sure which will be open now during EEMH) 1st to ride & get FPs. If you do not have park hoppers, plan for crowds later in the day, so you may want to try & work with FPs for Peter Pan, Pooh, Buzz, & Jungle Cruise as well or ride at very end of day or during parade/fireworks. All of this depends on when you are going of course. You will have no trouble & will get tons done at a slower time, using EMH. At higher crowd times, you can get more done in those 1st 2 hours then normal, but maybe still not everything. Good luck.

Be there at least 15 mins before they open. (We take the Disney bus from our resort and try to get to the bus stop by 7:15 for an 8:00 opening.) You will want to be through the turnstiles and bag check to wait for the rope drop. It may seem like a big crowd, but once you enter the park everyone disperses to different areas/attractions.

We always head straight to Fantasyland. We are able to do pretty much everything we want to do for the day in MK and leave before the crowds/lines start to build (around 11:00). Especially right at the beginning, most attractions are walk-on or 5-10 min waits.

We would never miss an am EMH at MK. :goodvibes

Agree that especially with younger kids morning EMH is great at MK. We did it a few years ago and were really able to zip through the Fantasyland attractions with very little waiting. I think it is just too early for a lot of people. With bigger kids you would still be able to hit some of the big attractions, but I think that the real benefit with young kids of the morning EMH is that there are so many attractions open so close together (especially the dreaded Dumbo, slowest loading ride EVER). It was worth the early morning (of course, with little kids we were always up anyway)

I would be there when the Magic Kingdom opens so try and arrive at least 30 minutes before, because in my opinion there is no point of going for AM EMH if you are not there when the parks open.

We usually aim to get there about 7:50, because I don't see the point in waiting 30 minutes or more to avoid long waits. ;)

It will look very, very crowded, but it's not a very large area that everyone is crammed into. Once the rope drops, however, people will quickly disperse into the park, and then it won't feel so crowded once you get past Main Street.

Most people will be headed for either Space Mountain or the Fantasyland rides (with Dumbo the main target).

We usually aim to be at the resort bus stop by 7:15 am. We will have missed the 7:00 bus, but hopefully there will be one about 7:20.

Otherwise, The Mountains (not sure which will be open now during EEMH) 1st to ride & get FPs.

My understanding is that the Tomorrowland attractions are now open again for morning EMH, while Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain (and Haunted Mansion) are no longer open for morning EMH (now that Space Mountain has re-opened).
